Please fill out the Macro sheet above.

![]() |

This is high challenge tier so Griphook Ragnok and Sola will get a level bump:

![]() |

We will begin once all have filled in the Macros sheet.

MadScientistWorking |

Ill fill out the macro sheet right now and will have a profile up later. Sorry about the delay.

![]() |

Done with the adjustments.

![]() |

Sending a PM to Orla Pfeffenpfoffer

![]() |

Apologies for my delay. On it now.
....And, done.

![]() |

Taking two minor healing potions as my School items.

![]() |

Taking two minor healing potions as my School items.
Nope, taking a feather token (bird) instead.

![]() |

School Consumable Item: 1 minor healing potion.

![]() |

I'm also going to take a bird token. I suspect more than 1 may prove useful with a list of that size...

![]() |

It appears that Marcus and I ninja'd each other!

![]() |

Yup. I edited mine to hopefully work accordingly.

![]() |

Oh no! Hope you feel better soon.

![]() |

Do we have any way of discerning travel time from and to each location?

![]() |

2 hours to each location. Though we can say it is only 1 hour for you to get to the warehouse. So you have a little time here at this location if you wish.

![]() |

Ah, so just a flat 2 hrs travel time per hop? So 2 locations = 6 hrs of travel, giving us roughly an hour per person of chat time unless we're going to break curfew on the way back.

![]() |

So far you have had:
Travel to the Ministry of Tithes (2 Hours)
Gather Information on where Themolin is after work (Failure 2 Hours)
Travel to Rockfish Inn (2 Hours)

![]() |

Apologies for my delay in posting.
The Paizo boards seem to be eating and delaying posts.
Also, please do not confuse Orla's dissatisfaction with mine. I'm enjoying the intrigue greatly.

![]() |

Nope, all good. I am going to try and be as transparent in all of this as I can. You will uncover a lot of information and will have a lot of difficult decisions to make as you have seen so far.

![]() |

Fell asleep in the middle of writing an update last night... trying again now.

![]() |

I ninja'd Marcus!
HIIIIII-YA!

![]() |

'Split the party' is always the right call, eh?

![]() |

Griphook healed Sola. They then indicated to me my error before my post was 60min old and I was able to edit it so as to give some weak and ineffectual healing to Marcus.
Ha!

![]() |

I thought that an area of effect would be a good idea for unseen/hidden foes. It's just too bad that my spell has a 30 foot range - couldn't get it deeper into the warehouse. Blast you, GM!
*gryn*

![]() |

AoE would indeed be good for unseen foes!

![]() |

I'm simply poking to see if we could auto-post for Phosporoo.

![]() |

Sorry to be a bother, GM, but when did Barralbus cast blur? I don’t see that he’s had that condition before this round. If it was present, then I wasn’t accounting for it before with my eagle attacks.

![]() |

It was during round two as he retreated under teh safety of his invisibility sphere. I just hadn't marked it on the tracker as you couldn't see it. Was to be revealed as he became visible once more so your eagle got a freebie.
He is also visible once more as he ran out of defensive spells to cast on himself.
Link to when Barralbus cast Blur
Rnd 1: Invisibility Sphere
Rnd 2: Blur
Rnd 3: Grease
Rnd 4: Gust of Wind
Rnd 5: Flaming Sphere

![]() |

Oh, he is definitely tied up somewhere. :P Barralbus was the cantrip master trying to impress the secretary when you were trying to gain access to Themolin.

![]() |

Just checking, but would AC 28 have been a critical hit, GM? That was the AC the eagle hit on his last attack (with the flanking bonus).
It would have been an extra 5hp of damage, if that matters at this point.

![]() |

28 would be a crit only if flanking. AC is 20 so 18 with a flank. The eagle rolled a 26 which is close but no crit.

![]() |

Hmm. I was thinking that a cantrip was a level 0 spell, and that heighten +2 was for level 2 spells. Oh well. All’s well that ends well.

![]() |

Ah yea, I can see that.
In 2e Cantrips are equal to the highest level of spell you are able to cast so basically at level 1 for a caster the cantrips are level 1.

![]() |

But that wouldn’t make sense - that would mean that you’d never be able to heighten a cantrip that has +2 as its heightened level since your cantrip would effectively ALWAYS be the highest level of spell you could cast….
In fact, you’d never be able to heighten any cantrip according to that rule. Am I misunderstanding something?

![]() |

The cantrip is a level 1 spell base, not level 0. So heighten 2 means it heightens at 3 and 5.

![]() |

HA!
Apologies, Marcus. I've accidentally done that a few times before posting with you. A similar character in another game, I think.
Perhaps Marcus is so groggy that he doesn't notice that Orla used the wrong name?
*gryn*

![]() |

I think you all can begin to see where this adventure is heading :)

![]() |

Marcus always has to recruit people he shouldn't.

![]() |

I am thinking that it seems we are about to bring more people out than instructed. Would that be possible? I mean, why don't just make it a mass exodus, just a thought. Or a revolution or something. Unless it is impossible. XD

![]() |

Yeah... so Marcus has a habit of recruiting people who he by no means should be recruiting. I couldn't resist that opportunity. I'll try to be a little more sane about accepting exodus requests, but Marcus has to see the look on the VC's face when he informs them that he recruited 12 ft tall boulder and snuck him out of the city, and they are also owed a paycheck. I think he's recruited the 'villain' of the adventure twice now.

![]() |

I think we want five on the boat, as it is the safest way out. It's now a matter of deciding who, and what to do about those that don't make the cut.

![]() |

Time for a series of bad questions. What's the bulk of the stone giant? It looks like per the CRB guidance its somewhere between 12 (bulk of a large creature) and 150 (1 bulk per 10 lb item) bulk. A quick google search seems to indicate that a cart full of gravel is about 2700 lbs for a cubic yard of gravel. A cart has a listed space of 10 feet long, 5 feet wide, 4 feet high, but I'm not sure how much of that is actual space in the cart for storage... and I also don't know if it would be capable of dragging the equivalent of half a cubic yard of gravel... nor what sort of animals would be required to transport it.
As you can probably surmise, I'm trying to decide if the idea of disguising our stone giant as building materials is a reasonable idea or utterly absurd... because if we get assaulted on the way out, having a secret giant might be nice.

![]() |

Not unreasonable at all. You actually remember seeing a wagon at Yulegs in fact that may be reinforced (Crafting) and fashioned to carry the weight of a stone giant. Though it will certainly be maxing out the weight of the wagon.

![]() |

Looks like we have ten people for our five slots:
I doubt the families will let us split them, so one will need to go on the ship and the other in our impromptu caravan.
We should keep Garrla and Seddothrum with us since they will be the most help in a fight. That also puts Yuleg and Vulna with us, since we would be wasting slots if we took the Chaverleys. For our fifth, I would want Flitch with us so we can keep an eye on him, and the boss would probably prefer the richest client on their ship.

![]() |

I’m not a raft carrying candidate.
I think that Flitch should lead us to the cavern.
