Kimlo says, "I can't hit the gobbo. It must be some funny witchcraft or something." For the first time Kimlo looks a little worried. "I've been bewitched!" But as he yells out, one can see he is bating the goblin to get it to attack him. His muscles are tensed to spring once the gobbo strikes with a counter strike.
None of this is mechanical, just checking in to see if the action has move along.

![]() |

"You like my little trick, gobbo?" "Goblins sing, goblins cry, but best of all goblins die!" Kimlo ties taunting the red menace.
Again, nothing mechanical just checking for action.

GM Fuzzfoot |

Malon does indeed put down the yellow one.
The green on the map does not seem to be an environmental concern.
Red swings at Kimlo.

Galandir will join Kimlo in trying to skewer Red Goblin.
Attack, Flanking: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 10
Wow... attack rolls of 9, 7, 1, 3, 1, 4 this combat.
He steps back to let a more competent warrior in.
Although hopefully Kimlo has done the job.

GM Fuzzfoot |

Kimlo cleaves the goblins head right off.

![]() |

With a nod to Kimlo, "Nice work Grimmerkin!" He takes a moment to spit on the corpse. "Now then, we might want to consider a strategic withdrawal. Some of us are lookin' worse fer wear."
About darn time Dicebot!
We wanted to leave and heal up, correct?

![]() |

”Im almost out on my feet,” the elf groaned as he leaned on his Quarterstaff. ”Resting and recovering is the only way for me to continue.”

![]() |

Ignoring her injured companions, Lilac rushes back to the lioness and says a few words over her, weaving the last of her spells.
Cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
”Sorry everyone, I can’t manage any more healing spells today. We’ll need to go back and rest. Maybe even trade some of the stuff we found for healing scrolls? I’ve been practicing, I can read those now.” She turns back to the lioness, who struggles back to her feet. ”You need to be more careful! What would you do if I didn’t have magic now?”

GM Fuzzfoot |

Getting out is easy enough. Getting back in...
What's the rest and recovery plan? Back to town?

![]() |

So loot wise we have one potion of cure moderate wounds. It would be nice to trade it for 6 scrolls of cure light wounds. Is that something we can handle in town. Or PFS rules wise are we prevented from selling found treasure like that? I have never been so low on money and healing that this has come up before.
"If someone could bandage and clean my wounds I think I will feel a little better in the morning." 2 hit points better if the helper can beat a dc 15 heal check. "Maybe some chicken soup like dear ol' mom used to make would help too"
Kimlo walks stiffly back to town with the group trying not to slow them down or complain.

GM Fuzzfoot |

So, even though we are playing this for credit and you are playing with your PFS characters, I believe you can do anything you want with treasure on each level (within a scenario). Just none of it matters when you reconcile at the end. So I am ok with you trading the potion for multiple scrolls.
You limp back to town, and sadly lick your wounds. But you have a few drinks and realize at least no one died, and you consider if you are ready to make a new try at it.
So, everyone is back to no damage, and if anyone else needs equipment switching before returning, please feel free to do that now. Once you are ready, put yourselves on the map outside by the entrance you plan to use.

![]() |

The elf was ready to head back in, knowing the goblins had probably repositioned, so they’d have to fight through a large numbers of them again.
If someone would place my token, I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

![]() |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

"I guess there is no point to sneaking in. We can lock shields and start the fighting. Let's proceed, brothers and sisters."
Kimlo stands next to Sciath. "Whenever you all are ready, Let's get this going."
Your token is placed, Malon.

![]() |

"Sciath, let's head back to where we were. We really did not do a good job of searching that area." "Let's start there." Kimlo whispers back to the group and Sciath.
If no one in the group objects, let's pick up at the 3 goblin fight scene spot.
"It is off to the left a little." Kimlo and Sciath head out.

![]() |

I agree about trading the one cure moderate potion for six cure light scrolls. I assume no one objects to me taking those, since only Sciath and I can use them and I imagine he'll want to be up front.

![]() |

"Aye, yer right about that. Still can't believe we were run off by a bunch o' runts."
I am good with Brazia holding on to the scrolls. Maybe I should have one, just in case something happens to you though. So, five to Braz and one to Sciath?

![]() |

"We can head left into the tower or right towards the inner portion." Kimlo flips a coin and after examining the results point to the right. "Very scientific and sophisticated diviniation says we go right."
Kimlo pauses for objections then leads on to the right.

GM Fuzzfoot |

As you pause, you hear a goblin off to your left shout (in goblin, of course) "Longshanks! They'ze back!" He jumps up and down as another runs off into the darkness.

Kimlo is too busy trying to pocket his coin again that he really almost misses the acrobatics display.
"Throw a light on that goblin, would you?"

![]() |

I hate this infernal darkness.
Galandir would love to have thrown a javelin at the fleeing goblin, but he cannot.
So he moves up and stabs the remaining one.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

I guess my post was eaten by the post monster.
"Good work, Galandir. Thanks for the light, Malon. We need to stop that escaping bugger though."
Was hoping to follow or catch the goblin running, but probably not now. Yep, the darkness foils that for sure.

GM Fuzzfoot |

Galandir kills this first goblin in one blow.
You can follow enough that you know the direction he headed, but can't see him for long.

![]() |

Kimlo will move into the room to see if he can tell where the goblin went. "Search that dead one will ya? Maybe it has a healing potion."
Lioness is probably the only one with a chance to catch the one running away.

![]() |

And I really don't want to send her out alone, so I guess this one gets away for now. We'll catch up to him eventually.
"Us neither," Lilac adds, digging through the dead goblin's belongings.

![]() |

"We should at least see if we can find out where he went. Let's head left into this room and take a look." "Weapons out though and keep your eyes peeled."
Kimlo heads through the doorway and looks around the chamber.
"You all coming?"

![]() |

"Where did that silly gobbo go? Ahh, Galandir, thanks for having my back." "Do you see the sucker?"
Can we reveal more of the room now? Is there any sign where the goblin went? Any roll we could make?

![]() |

Can we track the goblin? Maybe at a normal pace, we could track with secent from Mother Orchid?
"I think we should follow but at a safe and careful pace." "Lilac, can you have your kitty guide us in the direction the goblin went?"

GM Ietsuna |

Ok everyone. Here we go. I am going by your positions on the map.
You hear the goblin's chittering voice ahead of you in the darkness as Galindir, Kimlo and Sciath step through the doorway to the left. There is a rumbling sound above you before rocks fall down.
Galandir: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Kimlo: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Sciath: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Galandir: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Kimlo: 1d6 ⇒ 1
The falling rocks hit both Galandir and Kimlo as the plummet to the floor. Sciath manages to avoid the rockfall.
Galandir 3 damage, Kimlo 1 damage please
Sciath looks at where his companions stood and sees only a wall of fallen stone blocking the way back to where Lilac, Lioness and Malon's last known position. Worse yet rocks now cover where Galandir and Kimlo were. They must be beneath the rocks.
Lilac and Malon know nothing but hear the crash of stone hitting stone as the floor shakes for a moment.
I am keeping us in initiative because there are some aspects here that may be time related.
Round 2 (bold may act)
Malon
Galandir
Goblin (red)
Lilac
Lioness
Sciath
Kimlo

Malon moves forward and begins trying to dig out the stones that now separate the party.
If someone could move me on the map up to the rock fall, that’d be great. Thanks !

![]() |

@GM, both dwarves should get automatic checks to detect such traps due to Stonecunning. Any chance they spotted it before triggering it?
Also not sure if Galandir is pinned or not.

![]() |

"Close one aye fellas?" The paladin turns to see that his companions were not nearly for fortunate has he. Scaith hesitated a moment, trying to decide if he should liberate his allies or end the more immediate threat. "Seems like ya got yerself inta quite the pickle. Ain't no where for you ta run."
Waraxe (Hatered): 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12 {Sigh. Looks like our combat woes continnue}
Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

GM Ietsuna |

I checked your character sheet for Trapspotting Galandir, but neglected the dwarves and their stonecunning. Apologies. Lets see.
Sciath Perception Stone Cunning, DC20: 1d20 + 0 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 0 + 2 = 12
Kimlo Perception Stone Cunning, DC20: 1d20 + 0 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 0 + 2 = 16
Neither spotted it.
Kimlo and Galandir is trapped under the rocks, but not pinned. I have quoted the CRB for this type of thing below to aid in your activities here.
In 1 minute, using only her hands, a character can clear rocks and debris equal to five times her heavy load limit. The amount of loose stone that fills a 5-foot-by-5-foot area weighs 1 ton (2,000 pounds). Armed with an appropriate tool, such as a pick, crowbar, or shovel, a digger can clear loose stone twice as quickly as by hand. A buried character can attempt to free himself with a DC 25 Strength check.
You are dealing with about 8000 pounds of stone here
Sciath moves up to where he hears the goblin and swings. The nimble goblin dodges the swinging dwarfs strike.
Round 2 (bold may act)

Galandir

GM Ietsuna |

Galandir manages to avoid the falling rocks.
What would you like to do now Galandir?
Round 2 (bold may act)

Lilac
Lioness
Sciath

![]() |

Is there any light active in the area?
Malon cast Light on Kimlo's weapon. Doesn't shine much through the rubble, I expect.
If there isn't, then Galandir cannot see the goblin. I guess he will do nothing. Better that than stumbling around in the dark and provoking AOOs against his flat-footed AC from enemies he cannot see.
He could use Total Defense but it would be ineffective in darkness.
I guess we have to wait for Sciath to finish the goblin and then excavate Kimlo (unless he too has a Folio reroll that might make it).
