"This must be the place. Pathfinders, Right? Hope they tell us a little 'bout what we will be doing." An armored dwarf with dirty blond hair and beard hunkers down after clattering in, backpack, battle axe and bow in tow.
"I wouldna like to guard some vault or some such. I been guardin' stuff since I was little. I want some adventure."
"I'm Kimlo, Kimlo Grimmerkin. I was headed to the crusades and the world wound, but I stopped in to visit a cousin and he recommended you pathfinder lot. I signed up and now I am here. Pleased to meet ya."

Checking in. Oops, thought we were starting. I guess I was a little too excited. Went ahead and introducted my pc. Do you want our character information posted here? Here is the basics anyway.
Player: Wydroe
Character: Kimlo
Pfs number: 165069-16
Faction: Grand Lodge
XP: 0
This is wonderful what you are doing, GM Fuzzfoot. Thank you very much if I have not already expressed my appreciation. I have played in some of your tables before and always had a great time. Thanks again.

GM Fuzzfoot |

Thanks for the nice words!
Looks like we are only waiting on one more. I have posted a Google Slides link and filled in data for everyone - please check your own to make sure I got it right.
I also took a stab at default marching orders, so feel free to change that around.

Looks good to me. Galandir is fairly squishy but I suppose he needs to be in front to check for traps. He will move back at the first sign of combat.
I haven't actually played this PC before so I don't yet have a voice for him - that will come over time but this is, as the GM noted, mostly a dungeon crawl.
I do recall the first level (which I played in Standard) to be a dreadfully boring slog due to certain environmental effects. Once we can get past that I think it should be more enjoyable. Actually, I think for a variety of reasons it was designed to let Harsk shine... I will explain after we finish the level.

Also, keep in mind that while maybe not all that realistic, you can re-work your PFS character until they play as a level 2. So if you aren't happy at the end of level 1, you can adjust.
Having said that, each level is written by a different author, so I wouldn't make too many assumptions about the rest of the dungeon based on this first level.

If I can swap places with Brazia's Orchid, I will be right beside you on the front line my new friend.
TriShadow here!
If we decide we need range, I can rework him as an elf with a bow.
We are waiting for your post in the gameplay thread.

Drawfs seem to be my new default. I have a dwarf cleric of torag that I have worked up to 9th level. Even when allowed to play in campaign mode a 3 part module, I made a copycat character. I have never made a fighter before and even though they don't benefit from the full armor/movement advantages. I still liked them better then the other core races. I have not played him much, I might change things at the start of second level if there is a undesirable issue I have not thought through.
@GM Fuzzfoot. Is everything okay?

GM Fuzzfoot |

Hello all - sorry for going silent with no warning. My wife's mother passed away this weekend, and between that and the holiday season, we are scrambling to get everything in order. I am posting this same note to all of my groups, so some of you will likely see it more than once.
I suspect I won't be only until after Christmas, and maybe not even until after the new year. I will try to catch up on games where I can, but I don't expect to be very successful. If I am a player, please feel free to bot me or drop me as needed. If you bot me, all resources are available to you - I am not worried.
For those I am running, I certainly won't me able to organize combat as I will be remote. But feel free to continue RP if available and I can answer questions as I get a chance.
Thank you for your patience and understanding, and for those of you that celebrate, Hanukkah Sameach, Happy Kwanzaa, and Merry Christmas!

![]() |

No worries. Sorry to hear about your wife's mother. We'll be here when you're ready to come back. Take care and enjoy your holidays as much as you can under the circumstances.

![]() |

@Galandir, you are probably right. We need to find some healing and get patched up. Hopefully, we are close to defeating these three goblins. I think Lilac probably did in blue, yellow should be close and red too. Maybe one more round if the Dicebot is nice to us.

GM Fuzzfoot |

No - to be honest, I am swamped with RL issues, and don't see it letting up until June or later. I hate to do this, but I think I am going to have to drop this campaign - it i svery combat heavy and I no longer have the bandwidth to keep it moving.
Does anyone know a GM that might want to take over?

![]() |

I don't really know many PBP GMs who have not converted to SF or PF2e. I guess we could ask on the Flaxseed PFS board. At least, we might find a GM willing to finish our this level. We could then continue new GM willing or look for other opportunities. Anyway, thanks GM Fuzzfoot. It seemed a pretty monumental undertaking, with the multiple tables and all. I am sorry it has become too much.
Let us know if you are okay with a Flaxseed post for help. Or if you would rather just fight through this level at whatever pace you can handle.
Thanks again for all you have done so far.

![]() |

Anybody else have any ideas about continuing or should we just chalk this up as a false start. Have we even done enough to come out with a chronicle? We could advertise on Flaxseed, but I hate to do that without the GM at least concurring that that is okay.
How do people feel:
Abandon?
End with partial chronicle (GM willing)?
Look on Flaxseed for replacement GM?
Just wait for GM Fuzzfoot to free himself up?
Please comment if you have thoughts.

![]() |

I do not wish to end with a partial chronicle. I would rather complete this level at least.
We could ask on Flaxseed. Or, if Fuzzfoot thinks he might have the ability in June or July to get back on this, I'd be fine waiting.

![]() |

I thought I saw someone post in the Flaxseed already and no one responded. I've had games start and stop and start again several times with different GM's, and I wasn't a fan. I think I'm going to drop. Have fun all!

GM Fuzzfoot |

Please go ahead and look for someone. Right now, I get to check in about once a week - kid graduating HS and starting college, father in law with medical problems 3 hours away, and just a lot of work as well. May free up mid- to late- June, but cannot promise. If enough still want to go then, and you haven't found an alternative, I will try to pick back up again. But I don't want you waiting if you have any better prospects.

![]() |

Picking up a new GM is never easy. And while there are still many players of PF1, most PbP GMs have switched to PF2 as Kimlo notes.
I would be happy to wait until the end of June, and see if you can pick it up then to at least finish this level.
If that time comes and you can't, then I could take over as GM, although I would need to get the PDF.

I put in a plea for a replacement GM. I believe PDK is in the other table/group. If we get any takers, maybe we could restart. I am willing to stick around until July or so. Not like there are 30 core level 1 opportunities on the boards. I love core but I can't find a standard PFS game in FCF much less a core one.

I would be willing to pick this group up. This would be my first game back GMing after an absence due to RL workload getting on top of me. I am keen to get back at it.

GM Ietsuna |

Ok. Give me a day to catch up on the Gameplay thread and I will make a post to get us moving.

You might not be thanking me as these rocks fall. Sorry all. The module is the module and it is nasty.

![]() |

I will have to drop this game. Due to an unfortunate series of real-life circumstances (which won't be resolved anytime soon) I can barely keep up with my other games, and they won't last nearly as long. Sorry all, and happy gaming!

GM Ietsuna |

I wish you all the best Lilac. I am sorry but I don't think I can issue a chronicle for the amount already done.

![]() |

Sooo ... what does our healing situation look like? We have been struggling with this from the beginning and thought we had a temporary solution to the issue having purchased 6 (i think) scrolls of cure light wounds after selling the cure moderate potion we found. We might have used some of these 6 (I think).
Can anyone use the scrolls with UMD?
Do we ask if someone (a healer) would like to join?
Or
My wife is a brand new player. She helped out by making a cleric of Sarenrae (almost a Kyra clone) to allow a group I was running to finish gallows of madness part 2. It was the first PBP I ran, and it took some patience to teach her stuff as we went. Her cleric is now 2nd level. I could ask her if she is willing to jump in again to play. I don't even know if you can use a 2nd level character in ES lvl1. She might be willing to play Limi? (Druid Pregen).
But it might be too late to add folks.

![]() |

Level 2 PCs are legal for this level.
And, if it's too soon for Lilac to get a Chronicle, then hopefully it is early enough for your wife's cleric to join.
