Ok, so this world the magic stuff is on the down low like in Harry's world and hellboy, the BPRD and such things exist, but most folks don't realize it right?

Would people who are involved with the supernatural, or who are supernatural recognize each other? Would Sariel be able to see that Zania is more than human and vise versa? Or would Freddie be able to recognize us for what we are?

No they might think strange but not 'know'

Cool,

I was also wondering if the tv show "supernatural" was a reality show that everyone thought was fiction...

lol could have been.

Since Toni posted that she may want to check on her friends, I'm going to wait to see what she does before I post.

IF she's headed to check on her friends Sariel will go with her, if she joins Zania he'll go that way as well.

Edit: Just realized I put Seamus' name in the narrative instead of Sariel's, that's twice now. Seamus is my character in the other RotR game I'm in, that's part of the reason I don't play the same game at the same time, I mix stuff up. It doesn't help that both start with "S" I will try to get it sorted.

At this point I'm going with Zania on the basis of putting "get the PCs together" ahead of the probably more realistic "I'm going off to look after my friends"

yeah, i do that too, Sariel...i have characters named Doran and Goran...not related and Therin and Theron....again...not related

I think my brain is just wired wrong, I do the same thing with people I meet. The two individuals may have nothing in common, but if I meet them at the same place, or same time, I will switch their names. I tend to not run characters through the same AP's for that reason. I'm hoping that "California" will be different enough, to my subconscious, from Sandpoint that I don't do it. f course quality proof reading would go a long way.

Cool, works for me.

I deleted an earlier post, decided it sounded too harsh. I figure if something comes up, probably should be handled in a PM.

Game on....

Oops, thought this was at the shop.

So Sariel rode with her to try an speak to her privately about the 'prophesy' (Still not sure why Freddie left his fancy classical car where the bikers can mess with it) he doesn't want everyone and their brother to know he's a hunter. If GMMichael wants to retcon the conversation happened in the shop instead of the car I'm ok with that, up to him.

So Freddie, um not a fighter? I don't like using sense motive on playing characters, it feels like one step away from PVP. But wasn't he known for fighting back in the NFL? Wouldn't someone from Chicago who's a Bears fan know that?

I mean you got recognized by a fan in the crowd dude :)

Yep, pretty sure you can tell he isn't being completely honest about his past, but it isn't hard to find out the truth.

Are we waiting on anything in particular?

just me getting a little busy at work

So sorry to hear, nothing worse than work expecting you, to, you know, work. Glad to here it's work, RL has a way of sneaking up on you :)

Roll20 | Female Musetouched Aasimar Bulletsong Bard 1 | HP 8/8 | AC 17 / T 15 / FF 14 | Fort +0 / Ref +5 / Will +2 | CMB 2 / CMD 15 | Initiative +3 | Bardic Performance 7/7 | Diplomacy +9 / Perception +4 | Spells 1L 1/1 | Darkvision 60 feet | acid / cold / electricity resistance 5

Leaving for Vegas this morning and won't be back till tomorrow night, so if the story progresses before then, Zania goals are to watch Toni's back while she gets her friends out and then call a cab and get to the meeting.

Roll20 | Female Musetouched Aasimar Bulletsong Bard 1 | HP 8/8 | AC 17 / T 15 / FF 14 | Fort +0 / Ref +5 / Will +2 | CMB 2 / CMD 15 | Initiative +3 | Bardic Performance 7/7 | Diplomacy +9 / Perception +4 | Spells 1L 1/1 | Darkvision 60 feet | acid / cold / electricity resistance 5

I'm back, just FYI for everyone.

Male Human Brawler 1

Me too - although I left without warning. Work and family both just killed all my time this week, and never got much chance to check in.

Male Human Brawler 1

I am going to be offline until Monday.

Yay! Bad guy from "Big Trouble in Little China"

hahaha your wish and all that.

do you wish me to advance the game? is there anything you want to do before you leave? or after you leave. Or should I move to the next day?

hmmm, good question, I was hoping there might be a little conversation but it's been two days. I guess I'm good to move it along and go to the next day. Will Nishka give us instructions, or should we ask more questions?

Nishka isnt a campaign guide, more of a information source. occasionally she can help with indian lore, but mostly itll be what you discover.

I just meant if she would say something like, "keep an eye out tomorrow" or something like that. We may need to wrap up here and say what were doing tomorrow. Hopefully someone will post another opinion or something.

Or we could post in game what we plan on doing or something, I was just waiting to see if anyone had anything else to say.

I'm still trying to learn the line between "keeping a game moving" and "Not leaving room for other people to participate" :)

exactly.

Sorry folks, had the grandkids for the weekend, just got to the computer and my brains mush. I will get a post up tomorrow afternoon at the latest.

Roll20 | Female Musetouched Aasimar Bulletsong Bard 1 | HP 8/8 | AC 17 / T 15 / FF 14 | Fort +0 / Ref +5 / Will +2 | CMB 2 / CMD 15 | Initiative +3 | Bardic Performance 7/7 | Diplomacy +9 / Perception +4 | Spells 1L 1/1 | Darkvision 60 feet | acid / cold / electricity resistance 5

Waiting till the morning to pursue my plotline, so let me know when you guys are done with the late night activity and it is time to move on.

Jon Clark wrote:
Sure...I think if we meet up an hour before the meeting and get ready for the meeting would work. I'll likely be there first...

So just double checking, Zania set up the 'business meeting' for herself with Ameiko. We are all not going correct?

Jon not sure if your saying we're all going to the meeting, or that you want to go to the meeting with Zania.

m half elf ranger 1

i meant to just get together and compare notes...share info

Roll20 | Female Musetouched Aasimar Bulletsong Bard 1 | HP 8/8 | AC 17 / T 15 / FF 14 | Fort +0 / Ref +5 / Will +2 | CMB 2 / CMD 15 | Initiative +3 | Bardic Performance 7/7 | Diplomacy +9 / Perception +4 | Spells 1L 1/1 | Darkvision 60 feet | acid / cold / electricity resistance 5

From my side, Zania hasn't set up any official meeting yet. She is planning on going into Ameiko's place in the morning to try to talk to her/make friends with her, as she normally would do when cultivating business contacts with the locals, so if you are basing what you are doing on some specific meeting time between she and I, there isn't one.

Cool, just double checking. Also, thanks for the quick answers, you folks are awesome :)

(yeah still working on my post, be up in a couple)

Did I move to the morning too fast?

I realize we've split the party, but after breakfast, and her meeting, we meet up with Zania someplace?

I'm assuming were going to end up back at the festival at some point in time.

GMMichael about what time would the festival open, or can we head over while there getting set up?

Roll20 | Female Musetouched Aasimar Bulletsong Bard 1 | HP 8/8 | AC 17 / T 15 / FF 14 | Fort +0 / Ref +5 / Will +2 | CMB 2 / CMD 15 | Initiative +3 | Bardic Performance 7/7 | Diplomacy +9 / Perception +4 | Spells 1L 1/1 | Darkvision 60 feet | acid / cold / electricity resistance 5

I'm assuming that depends on how the story goes. We don't know what will even happen at the meeting yet, or if Zania is going to have to go over to the Festival instead, and we don't know what information she will or will not get. We aren't even officially a party yet, are we? We haven't established a united purpose. We just started to get to know each other, and we're trying to set all of that up right now, correct?

my assumption was that we were a party to fight against the prophesied evil. That's why Sariel asked if everyone was in.

If he thought that the information spoken about would become public knowledge by someone that wasn't invested in the group and goals, he would have left. Too much risk.

Obviously we're still getting to know each other and what that entails. But I didn't think there was any question in Sariel's mind that everyone was committed.

Roll20 | Female Musetouched Aasimar Bulletsong Bard 1 | HP 8/8 | AC 17 / T 15 / FF 14 | Fort +0 / Ref +5 / Will +2 | CMB 2 / CMD 15 | Initiative +3 | Bardic Performance 7/7 | Diplomacy +9 / Perception +4 | Spells 1L 1/1 | Darkvision 60 feet | acid / cold / electricity resistance 5

We are committed to a nebulous goal that we don't really have any information about yet, as my character said before. We're working to get there, but we aren't to the walking around in a pack stage, at least in my estimation.

I'm ok with that.

Getting together at the festival wasn't my idea nor was meeting at the diner. I was just trying to facilitate moving forward together, but I'm ok if we don't.

We have the ability to communicate via text which is practically like being at the same table in the local tavern/inn :)

I'm just trying to keep the game moving and everyone involved, like I said earlier: "I'm still trying to learn the line between "keeping a game moving" and "Not leaving room for other people to participate" :)

2 people marked this as a favorite.

At this point Toni's more concerned with keeping her friends safe from the bikers (and hopefully keeping her job with Ven, otherwise she's going to be short on cash), she's still extremely sceptical about the whole 'big evil' thing, and slightly freaked out by the magic - she'll be heading to the festival early to keep an eye on things.

At some point, I expect something will cause the group to mesh better, at which point splitting up will become less likely.

There's always a tricky line to follow at the start of a game between keeping it moving, and getting everybody involved; I think we'll settle that down a bit as we progress.
Right now I'm leaving space for Zania's chat with Ameiko

Right there with you Jon. Trying to figure out how long to wait to see if Freddie or Cayden chime in.

Planning on answering Sariel's text, but waiting on the continuation of my conversation first.

Ill answer that shortly Zania.

so someone asked me why no posts for a couple days...

I thought to point out something that may be important to note...

my days off fall during the week instead of saturday and sunday. many times Ill work those days. If I take them off though at times I get so busy with real life and honey dos and appts that It precludes any gaming.

sorry

all good by me boss...real life takes precedence over games...i ain't sweating

Male Human Brawler 1

I hate to do this everyone, but I think I am going to have to drop out. Between a crazy work schedule, trying to take care of ailing dementia parents, and trying to help my kid apply for colleges, I am just too swamped. I find myself feeling guilty for not keeping up, and it has become a chore to try and get posts in. I am going to finish out a few of the shorter games I am in, but I am just not capable of continuing for the foreseeable future.

Thank you all for including me, and good luck with your adventure. This is a great group!

m half elf ranger 1

all good man...family comes first...

Sad to hear it Freddie, but we totally understand, take care.

no worries Freddie. I wish you the best.

Also GM, no pressure from me. When I said I was waiting on that, I meant patiently, I promise, and just as an update so no one thought I was MIA. :) Life comes first, I get it.

no worries. I knew that. thanks though
