Lavanna watches as Abi's perfectly Deadly shot hits it's mark!
"Ooh - that's gunna hurt" wondering if the bandit will survive the blow...

Ah yes, forgot about that
Deadly damage: 1d10 ⇒ 7
GM Catto |
With a well placed shot Abi's arrow lands right in the pickpocket's leg, toppling them over as they tried to to move away. She falls down, smashing her head against the stone ground, "I yield...." they say weakly before passing out.
::Combat Over::
Greyjay |
Greyjay grunts, his shield spell flickering and fading before he sheathes his sword and kneels beside the thief. "Abi, can you get over here to make sure she doesn't die before justice is done?" He calls out to his gnomish comrade.
Rising, he looks at the crowds, looking for the man who'd called her out. "Excuse me, citizen, were you the one she stole from?" He asks once he finds the man in question.
GM Catto |
A bespectacled man in a derby hat comes fourth of a Varasian complexion, he, "Yes," he says in an accented drawl of one from the region. Likely he was one of many foreign visitors, "She stole my pocket watch."
Abi Klebrirndi |
" On it!" Abi rushes over to the unconscious thief and checks her over. "Please don't die, please don't die, please don't die"

Drogyn hands back the pocket watch to the Varasian man, thank you all kindly, "I'm sure there is paperwork to be had for this incident. I shall go to your precinct late to give my testimony. I thank you so kindly," he says before giving both a written name and a hotel that he was staying at before making his way back into the sordid crowd.
As the dwarf repaired his shield Abi would deal with the wounds of the pickpocket, patching her up before cuffing her as precaution. You'd obviously begin to take her back to the precinct before you see a rush of several officers heading in the direction towards the Stockyard as you round the corner to the precinct.
You see officer Shibi again, looking at you out of breath, "We got a situation at the zoo. All Hell has breaking loose down there and the lieutenant wants you five up there as soon as you can," she says as a few other guards make their way out and towards the general direction. The stockyard as known from Orientation was a zoo set up for the fair.
GM Catto |
Alright we are going to the zoo
The zoo was located in the stockyards, one of many smaller scale attraction vendors that had set up there. It was choas as folks fleed in all directions and guards attempting to wrangle creatures of a less hostile bent that were running amok. You briefly see Lt. Lavarus, highly animated as he barks out marching orders, trying to command his officers in an efficient manner.
"Squad 21, I need you to get in there and see what is going on, clear back and secure and folk trapped inside. Put these creatures out to pasture if you have to!" he says before ordering you away with little time to ask questions. Soon you near the entrance and the sounds of chaos dims, save for the small shouting of protestation around the corner of the road that you now found yourselves in.
See slide 12
Abi Klebrirndi |
As the squad hurry to the zoo Abi will try to remember what animals might be there that they would particularly need to watch out for.

Shouting and the sounds of clanging and breaking emerge from the open-air entrance of a blacksmith shop bearing a sign reading “Parva’s Ironworks.” Inside, a large man wearing a turban and leather blacksmith’s apron flails with a broom at a five-foot-long lobsterlike monster, shouting, “Out! You have to make two strides, wall separating you from the building. Next turn you can pull out a whip.
Lavanna's puch doesn't even dent through the shell of the creature as it appears to eat the metal much to the horror of the blacksmith.
Abi Klebrirndi |
Occult is actually better for Abi - +7 instead of +5 ! And I'll ask if it has any special attacks to watch out for
Abi calls out to the others "Watch your metal valuables - I think this is a Rust Monster"
GM Catto |
Beyond being able to of course rust metal, it viciously lakes out anything that attempts to escape it with its tail, it gets a free reaction if you have a visible metal item on your person and move out of a threatened square with it.
Greyjay |
Greyjay moves swiftly into the zoo, his fingers weaving in swift patterns of divine significance. With a word, he unleashes his spell at the creature, attempting to blast its mind. Finally, he steps forwards, somewhat reluctantly.

Drogyn uses his reaction to make the rust monster hesitate under the weight of what it's about to do to Greyjay.
Glimpse of Redemption:
Your foe hesitates under the weight of sin as visions of redemption play in their mind’s eye. The foe must choose one of the following options:
• The ally is unharmed by the triggering damage.
• The ally gains resistance to all damage against the triggering damage equal to 2 + your level. After the damaging effect is applied, the enemy becomes enfeebled 2 until the end of its next turn.
The rust monster must choose between no damage or resistance and immediately enfeebled. All of this goes through before the attack.
Drogyn Locke |
On his turn, Drogyn will drop his whip for free, Lay on Hands to heal Greyjay if the rust monster decided to do damage, move into flanking and his the monster with his spiked gauntlet.

The sounds of screams and the clash of steel grow louder, pounding in Greyjay's skull, and he lets his guard down long enough for the rust creature to rip through his armor, flesh, and bone. He staggers back, a low moan of pain escaping his lips, before marshaling himself. He chants a spell once more, the fingers of his free hand shaping the divine power before he lays it on the creature.
He swiftly takes a few steps back, his sword lowering as he grabs one of the potions from his belt. "Damned thing!"
