The Ganzi lowers his guisarme and stands there, glancing around- obviously surprised by the sudden change of events. Cluing back into the conversation in the room, Kal simply smiles and puts on his prettiest face, while the non-existant breeze tussles his hair.

"I saw...evil spirits...the same evil spirits that were corrupting my father. But the sacred flower gave me those visions," Lin Fen Hai is clearly confused.

Then, her expression changes to one of horror. "My father! The village! What have I done?"

Obviously no longer interested in confronting the Pathfinders, or dealing with them at all, she rushed back towards the village.

While she goes back down the trail that they came from, there is another trail that leads deeper into the forest. Though new, it is clearly well trod.

Kioshi casts message on the group to be able to quietly communicate.

He enlarges any companions that would like the spell.

Tofu is aware of how easy it is to get mixed up and lost, so the elf gets himself completely soaked in water first before casting heroism.

"Well, I mean.. The villagers are kind of mad at us... And told us to leave... Maybe we should follow the trail?" The elf acknowledges that his efforts irritated a bunch of the villagers.

"If we don't see that village again, I wont be heart broken about it. They don't have any semblance of hospitality or common sense..."

The trail is easy to follow and has obviously been used a great deal recently. Only 600 feet away, the Pathfinders come into another clearing. A brightly flowered plant awaits them.

A spot in the grass near the blossom has deep indentations, as though left from someone frequently kneeling at the flowers’ side. Squares with logs or branches in them are difficult terrain. Vibrant jungle ferns that provide cover surround the plant and fill the clearing. You come into the map from the bottom edge.

Greetings Pathfinders. It pleases me to no end that your Society has chosen to protect the Sunsu Godae's new home. But then, what else could one expect from the group that included Aram Zey as a member? In the face of his sacrifice, what cannot be expected?

The plant speaks not with sounds but directly to each person's mind.

“Listen everyone! This is an extraplanar plant that feeds on emotions. Based on the shape and color of its flowers it has been both fueling and feeding upon Fen’s compassion and love for her people, leaving her remaining emotions unbalanced!“

No resistances or DR but it does have plant immunities. It also has the ability to manipulate your emotions if it hits you with its bite.

"At least something here seems to know what is going on. Aram Zey made quite the sacrifice, on behalf of the pathfinders."

He turns to look at Kioshi

"What do you mean, "Feeds on"? If it can talk to me, AND steal my emotions...", but the thought trails off.

Perhaps we can aid each other, Pathfinders. Much the way you aided the Muckmouth tribe. The Sunsu Godae could make excellent allies for your missions, Onhae could be a good base of operations.

Unfortunately, some of them still cling to their outdated ways and religion. If you return and convince them to worship Aram Zey as the Ruby Phoenix they would be loyal to you. Those who do follow him already call themselves 'Pathfinders.'

Kioshi smiles, retrieves his rod of extends and immediately casts HASTE on the party!

"All of that seems needlessly complicated to me. Zey isn't a diety, I met him myself. Why does their 'outdated' religion both you so?"

Tofu wonders if talking plants are full of toxins.

A shame. Your emotions and experiences must be so intense and delicious. But if you won't see my reason, I won't let you jeopardize what I have here.

Not a bad premise to operate from, actually. In this case, only one of the types of opponents has SR, though.

Diazepane realizes the plant is an Etherroot. It has no particular resistances or weaknesses beyond those of all plants so the cold bothers it, anyway.

One of the shimmering beings rushes towards Diazepane and an amorphous pseudopod reaches out to touch him.

Kioshi spends an arcane reservoir point and jumps through the fabric of space to land 90 ft to north.

He then casts a spell to imprison the large plant creature in ice!

The plant begins to lurch forward but the icy ray that Kioshi hurled at it that disappeared with no explanation suddenly resyncs with the space/time of everything else and hits it, rapidly encasing it in ice.

The plant tries to break free.

Diazepane realizes that what he's facing is a psychemental. And that it's incorporeal. He quickly cycles through his options and tosses some force bombs...poorly.

The thing is also highly agile and neither bomb hits.

It won't matter because neither bomb hit, but force bombs are d4 rather than d6, so I'll make that clear next time.

Tofu flies closer to position and casts the spell Long Arm on himself, getting in position to start stabbing at the plant.

The orangish green psychemental flies through Kal'Ryon then through Diazepane.

The pinkish purple one flies through Diazepane then through Kal'Ryon.

It feels like a cool mist on your skin but then it feels like a cool mist INSIDE your skin and an unpleasant tingle in your mind.

"What the what?!" yells Diazepane. "Stay away from these guys!"

Kal remains shocked at the combat surrounding him- and while he loves a good fracas as much as the next Ghanzi, this shouldn't be happening.

Out of his daze, he sees the approaching creatures/shimmer and assault him. Seeing the creatures move about to harm himself and Diazepane, he swings at the creature with his adamantine guisarme.

No rage, No Power attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21
Slashing,Magic, Adamantine: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (3, 3) + 8 = 14

Since he wasn't raging at the end of his turn, and he hadn't attacked to declare power attack- so this is without both of those

As the coldness floods through Kal's body- he flexes his grasp on reality and simply wills. Wills his way through the pain and the damage that is currently pulling away his life force.

Kioshi summons 7 virtual clones of himself.

Diazepane dodges away from the first creature then resists the second's soul draining power by sheer force of will.

Kal'Ryon stands strong and slashes the first being coming at him, though he doesn't do as much damage as he would if the thing were actually made of...you know...matter.

He then wills and lucks away the attacks of both before rushing at the plant and slashing.

The plant tries to break free.

It is less than successful and it's leaves get frosted a bit more.

Please nobody attack the plant. It is imprisoned in ice and is damaged each round. Let us concentrate on the clouds.

Diazepane dials in the psychemental's number and drops a bomb right on it, clearly having quite an effect, though not enough to dissipate it.

Tofu hurtles forward, trident first and skewers the plant, saving it from freezing to death in its icy prison.

That does nothing to discourage the psychementals and they once more fly through the Pathfinders, Pinkle going through Kal'Ryon then soaring up to pass through Tofu while Grange goes through Diazepane then Kal'Ryon.
