The two dwarves continue to look out for the younger ones, as the fight continues. Lup skewers his opponent with his blade, taking another goblin out of the fight. The remaining goblin from the first group glances at Kelda and Lup before deciding to retreat.
G3 withdraws.
The remaining two goblins fire arrows at Astoria and Lysithia.

Determined to keep everyone as safe as possible, Kelda moves as quickly as possible to put herself in front of Lysithia, since the creeps seem to like making a pin cushion out of her new girlfriend, and her other new companion as well.
Double move to H9, placing myself between Lysithia and the gobbers.
As Kelda lives to protect her, Lysithia can't help the warm feeling that wells up inside. Focusing on the task at hand, she takes a step to the side, calling upon her innate power of natural growth, her size rapidly increasing as she brings her staff down on one of her attackers.
Neither Lup nor Lysithia manage to connect with their attacks. The dwarves move a little bit away from the battle. The goblins drop their bows and use their swords to slash at the reckless ranger.

Flicking the gore from his blade before placing it back on his back Lup clicks his tongue. "Well then, that was quite rude of them. How is everyone doing?"
Letting out a breath, Lysithia releases the extra energy drawn from the earth, resuming her normal size and mass, as she plucks the last arrow from her side. "I've been better, but, I've definitely been worse."

Sounding annoyed at her inability to keep the others from getting hurt she says, "I'm fine, just wished I could have stopped them sooner, like before they tried makin' pin cushions out of Lysithia and Astoria. How bad is it?" She has a worried expression on her face, as she goes over to Lysithia first.

Kelda nods, "Apparently, the goblin problem is not just in the town. I'm out of healing spells though until we have a chance to rest, so we just need to be careful. I'm glad that everyone seems okay, for the most part. Eventually, if we can find their camp, we'll burn it to the ground, and destroy every last one of those disgusting creatures." There's almost a growl to her voice, as her raw hatred for the little beasties rises to the surface.
Turning back to Lysithia she asks, "What about you? Are you okay? I'm sorry I have no further healing to offer you, but we'll make them pay for this."
"It's alright, I'm a lot better than before, thanks to you." Lysithia says, taking Kelda's hand for a brief moment. "In fact if we end up passing through the forest at any point, I'll be fully hea ed before you know it."

Kelda feels a calm settle over her, as Lysithia takes her hand. The soothing feeling of support allows Kelda yo take a few deep calming breaths, before nodding her head, "Okay, as long as everyone is alright, that's the most important thing." She says, sounding much more calm than before.

Giving Lysithia's hand a gentle and grateful squeeze before letting go, she looks from her parents to the others, "If everyone is good to continue, we should keep moving."
"Yes we should." Lysithia agrees with a smile. She sighs, her expression becoming serious once more. "At least we now have first-hand knowledge of what they're dealing with."
Astoria pokes around the fallen looking for an acceptable weapon to pilfer. "Are we leaving them like this? Just strewn about by the road as they are." she asks.

Kelda kind of shrugs, "We really don't have time to do much else. We can try to shove them off into the trees, but we really need to find that Inn before it gets much darker. We don't want to be out on the road too much after that." She explains, while looking around for anything that might be helpful to the group.
While the goblins' gear is worthless, one of their short swords could function as a crude dagger for Astoria to use. Kelda searches but finds little more than shiny rocks and scraps of what might have been food once upon a time.

Kelda takes the short sword over to Astoria, and holds it out to her, "It's not that great, but would this help? We can find you a better weapon later."
"I'm rather horrid with any kind of weapon truthfully, but a knife or club would serve better than nothing at all." She admits looking somewhat embarrassed.

Giving Astoria a reassuring smile, she holds the blade out to her with the handle of the short sword pointed towards her, "It's nothing to feel embarrassed about. It's okay if you're not good at using weapons, everyone has different talents and abilities. Your magic gave us time to take them out, before they could do more serious damage, and that was a great help." She says supportively.

"Yes, your magic was invaluable there. There's more to a fight than simply killing your opponent, reducing causalities and harrying your opponent are all equally valuable." Lup adds.
Astoria takes the knife with thanks. "Yes I suppose. I admit I have no real desire to spend my time toying with armaments. Magic is much more interesting."

Nodding toward the blade she says, "Hopefully you'll never have to use it, but it's better to have it, and not need it, than to need it, and not have it. We'll do our best to try and keep things from getting in your face though."
Noting the changing color of the sky as the sun begins to set, "We really should keep heading toward the Inn, before it gets much later. Is everyone ready to go?"

Kelda just nods, not wanting to think about what could have happened if Astoria hadn't kept the goblins from surrounding them. She waits patiently for everyone to be ready to continue on to the inn.
It takes only about an hour to reach The Sleepy Traveler after your encounter with goblins. The inn is definitely a "no-frills" sort of establishment, with some visible holes in the roof and walls (even in the dark).

Looking over the place they would rest for the night she says, "Well, it might not look like much, but as long as it's a safe place to rest, I'm sold. Let's go see what they have available."
Getting to the door, she holds it open for her family and the others.

Kelda nods in agreement with Lups summation.
Once everyone is inside and her eyes adjust, Kelda approaches the older gentleman, "Good evening Sir, we were wondering if you had any rooms available?"

Kelda looks around for a moment, "Well, one for my Da and Ma, and one for my two cousins, if they're okay with sharing one, I'll share one with Lysithia, one for Astoria, and one for Lup....soooo....five?"
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Taking out a gold piece, Kelda places it on the counter while giving him a polite smile and nod of her head, "Thank you Sir." She looks around the Inn, "I was wondering if we could get some supper? We had to fight off some goblins about an hour from here, and it worked up a bit of an appetite."
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Nodding at the old man's response, "That will do just fine. We'll just find a place to sit."
As they find a table to sit at, she looks over at the men that Lysithia was talking to, "Yeah, unfortunately two of the little buggers got away before we could end them, but we took care of the ones that were stupid enough to stick around. Why do you ask?"

Kelda looks at Lysithia before looking back at the two men, "What is Wodrick's interest in Goblin camps, and why are they paying for ears? I can understand wanting to protect your homes, and there are some towns that are being really assaulted by the little beasties, but that sounds just a little barbaric."
