Do we just write our character names to the left of it or are you anticipating the order we sign up to correlate with the ordered stack of rolls in the box? I put my modifiers in the first one, but feel free to adjust if I overstepped. There were no instructions there so going on guesses.

I played in your Roll20 run of the Pallid Plague for the Silicon Valley PFS Lodge last month, and am pleased I can return the favor :)

@Yours is Mined -That was a fun table. Always a pleasure to "see" familiar faces on either side of the GM screen! As for experience, I have played and run PbP on these boards for over 3 years and am a VO for PbP.

I have also run one of these quests and played through the others as part of a GM school some years back.

5-10 years playing pf 1e, 3-5 with society, but been grooving on solely PbP since before the pandemic (1-2 years). Just finished GMing my first module for PfS too!

Tons of experience playing and running PF1 here, but it's been a good long while so my PF1 is rusty (Looking at my Chronicles, the first time I played Brand was at PaizoCon 2011! Holy-decade-moly).

Plenty of experience with PbP (doing a lot of PFS2 on Discord currently), but my first time navigating it on paizo.com.

As my PFS # suggests (14196), I've been around awhile. This character was originally built in 2011. I've brought him back for a few con specials here and there, and actually have two CL4 sessions to attribute after this one is complete, meaning I'll only have to play him as 4 for one session :) Had I known better, I would of built him a little better at the time, but he's getting better and I'll eventually convert him to PF2 when/if PF1 opportunities dry up. I like his concept a lot.

I've played in and run a handful of PBP's in my day, despite this being my first ever on this forum. Currently playing in a PF1 campaign taking place in The Lost Lands (Grimmsgate for those who may be familiar) over on the Giant in the Playground board.

Okay I think I have my character imported on to the site... double-checked it with PCGen and some random +'s were different here and there but probably just book-keeping errors over the years.

Also, looked at how others were formatting their characters/profiles and A) I stumbled into the Harrowing reading Khouri did. SO COOL. Props to all the great roleplayers out there.
B) Is there an easier way to add bbcode formatting than to manually type it? I'm so used to just highlighting and ctrl+b for example.

Since I own a Harrow deck, and run 3 Varisian society characters, I decided to lean into it :)
Much easier to plan out with the time afforded by PbP

This is my first Tian character though, so I'm excited for this adventure mostly to get the flavor correct for RP :)

As for me, Play-by-Post is my favorite way of playing PF 1e. I have been PFSing on these boards by play-by-post since December 2012 and GMing since 2015.

Over the last couple of years I have branched out into VTTs to play and run GM PFS 1e, but play-by-post remains my first love.

Yes, it happens completely randomly for me - but I tend to preview/edit my posts a lot - never 3x in a row though! I always copy my text before attempting to post (or use an external editor), just in case that happens. Cause it is FRUSTRATING to lose your work.

Thanks for the suggestions. Now I know it's not just me. After the 3rd time I gave up. I'll come back to this campaign tomorrow. The jist of the lost posts was my time commitment. I need to move on now to my RF.

**WARNING** There is a bug on the site called the Post Monster that randomly eliminates ("eats") posts.

To avoid becoming a victim of the Post Monster, once you have finished your post I recommend typing <CTRL><a> inside the text window (select all) + <CTRL><c> (copy all) BEFORE *clicking* the ‘Preview’ and/or ‘Submit Post’ button to the right below the text window.

I suggest doing this EVERY TIME for each post you make on the Paizo boards.

I'm not sure how that affects our subtier (2.7 APL?) but I'm okay playing up with this ranged character if need be. I'm a bit worried about the level 1 Barbarian, but between an Oracle and Cleric he'll probably be okay.

Please allow me to set-out the ground rules, which are designed for fairness and consistency, while keeping the game moving at a pace to ensure we finish on time.

For the newcomers to the Play-by-Post setting these kinds of ‘ground rules’ are encouraged by the Play-by-Post VO Team, and are common in PFS games played on these boards.

If you do have any questions about them please let me know here or via PM.

⚔ Please make it obvious what buffs you have active and what your AC is.

⚔ Miss is always low if a miss chance applies. For example, if there is a 50% miss chance on a melee attack, a result of 1-50 on d100 is a miss.

⚔ I roll group initiative and track character actions. Unless you state you are waiting for another to act, I will adjudicate those actions in the order they were posted.

⚔ You may delay to a later position in the initiative sequence as usual.

⚔ If I make a mistake in the current combat round, please let me know and I will try to make it right.

⚔ I generally prefer PCs to roll their own saving throws and Attacks of Opportunity (AoO). However …

⚔ I like a relatively fast-paced scenario. I find when a game loses momentum, the fun is quickly sucked out of it.

As such, if you do not post an action within 24 hours from when I invite you to post, I reserve the right to take actions for your character.

Another question, will we have the opportunity to do some shopping for some gear at start? Should we just handle that off camera in PM? I'm good either way you regularly handle that.

I make our APL 2.67, which when rounded to the nearest integer becomes 3.

Starting with Season 4 … A party of five to seven characters whose APL falls between two subtiers must play the higher tier with the four-character adjustments found throughout the scenario.

So, yessir! High sub-tier with the 4 player adjustment.

I generally go by the honor system for the games I run. (I trust you, Radiarch!)

Though if something “seems off” I may ask to see some proof using a method/medium we are both comfortable with.

Oh I dual wield a pair of those. Nothing to see here.

But yeah, I'll try to OOC the source of any boon I try pulling out in a particular situation so that it's easy to confirm from my chronicles.

So this is my first Tian character, and I am playing this scenario as a way to learn more about the culture.

So my character knows more than me, at this point, frankly.

Is this a semi-accurate if broadly sterotypical depiction to start with?

I made this character with the understanding that Tian-Min culture was broadly similar to Japanese culture? I don't want to be offensive about cultural sterotypes, but use it as a jumping off point to learn more about both real-world cultures and and Golarion lore.

Can everyone please make a Boon d20 roll within the next 24 hours.

A natural 19-or-20 are winners of Paizo gift vouchers! A natural 1-or-2 are winners of a boon!

If you win a boon, please roll a d10 to determine which boon you’ve won.

According to the Organizing Committee, GMs (ie me) should collect the name & email address of the winners. So if you win, please PM me with your email address so the committee knows where to send your prize.

There are no re-rolls allowed on boon rolls.
