From what I see we have:
- Lvl 3 fighter
- lvl 3 cleric
- lvl 3 ranger
- lvl 6 wizard :)
So the most natural choice would be some pregen from lvl 3 => there are:
- barbarian
- fighter
- wizard
- cleric
- rogue
- alchemist
To keep the class unique I am left with: rogue, barbarian, alchemist.
For now I am leaning towards rogue - Merisiel.

I have a feeling that Merisiel and Hornietetelle are either going to get along fabulously or be at each other's throats, I don't see much in between room for them... But it'll be fun to watch nonetheless!
Also I just realized due to some GM credits, Ionic is actually level four, I'll be updating him shortly!

_Pregen_ |

Ok, the profile is updated. I need to fill in her skills as the pregen doc missed them :( And now I had read about Merisiel and I start to understand what you are saying Ionic.
So for the record:
@GM thanks for running this game, and thanks for having me with a pregen, I know this is not ideal. But I will do my best to be a Merisiel to remember
@Sedoriku - hey mate, it is good to see you. I don't think I played with you in PF2 yet, Only in the vast space :D
@Squash - good to see you. I am glad to meet squash again, it is nice to see a distinct leeshy
@Deevor - hey mate! Long time! Good to see you again
@Tarondor - hey, I am glad to see your other PC than Hornbori (altho I have soft sport for fully armored dwarfs :D). Try to not wipe us with your fireballs :D
Ok, I know everyone at the table so it should be amazing.

Looks like 15 challenge points, so we will be playing subtier 3-4.
Ionic can catch up to the group in Sakakabe when he's ready.

![]() |

I've added feats and upped numbers and if you're okay with me adding chronicles within a day, Ionic should be good to go for right now. Level four for rangers is an easy one. Only two choices.

cmlobue |

Feel free to start roleplaying. We've got time before any numbers are required.

![]() |

Ionic's character sheet is finalized and complete. I've added the striking rune in as well.

![]() |

Sorry been travelling and seeing family for the first time in 8 months or so, so not giving you my full attention until Tuesday.
Hornietelle will by a wand of Spirit Link
2 x scrolls of bless
2 x potency crystals

![]() |

A 26/24 missed? Just want to make sure you are reading my rolls correctly. The first roll is the attack, the second roll is damage. I just roll both at once rather then in separate dice tags.

cmlobue |

Did not notice. I just glanced at the string of numbers and my eyes went straight to the end. I just finished running a game where someone rolled 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 3 - 3, and, well...

_Pregen_ |

@gm- wasn't the boar on the ground? If so would it first get up? It does not have to, but then Merisiel would be hit only once

_Pregen_ |

Ionic's built to soak damage, he'll try keeping them from focusing on one of us. Also sorry for not replying to your greetings, I was rushing to finish up leveling and didn't post a response immediately so I forgot.
No worries. Merisiel is very dwarfy in that sense, she has a book of grudges :D When your PC wakes up and finds a heads horse on your sleeping mat, you will know who is it from ;)

![]() |

My bad on the greeting, just had stuff going on. But nice to be playing with you again, it's been a while since we saw blood on the ice. Hopefully that won't happen again.
I know I've either GM'd or played with most of you, with the exception of Tarondor and our GM, so it's great to be amongst friends and meet new ones. I echo the thanks for putting on the game GM.
Anyway, we should probably be concentrating on one at a time, although with all 3 in different areas, I'm thinking that it's a bit more difficult. Just hoping you've managed to put the ole blue boar down, so we can go to Squash's aid.

![]() |

Don't worry about Ionic. Unless there's a pretty nasty crit, he's good for a few more turns.

cmlobue |

You are at a point where the scenario suggests some possible courses of action, but also says that the PCs can be creative about how they get across. I know some groups prefer figuring things out while others just want to make the checks and move on, so I'll let you decide whether you want the given mechanics spelled out for you.

I've studied some Japanese as well. I think the goal was to sound Asian without directly corresponding with any one language. Though this scenario definitely is closer to Japanese than other Tien I've seen.
Minkai and the Minkaian language (I think it got reintroduced to 2e in the Ruby Pheonix player's guide) are the Japan and Japanese analogues for Goalrion. Tien and the more generic monolithic Tian are much more generic. They definitely have Japanese roots. Almost all of the names in the scenario so far are two Japanese base words together. Saka and kabe are common or not unheard of in place names but not together (a sloped wall maybe?) Maku and zen aren't unusual sounds but seeing them together is confusing. The only one that I can't seem to place is the soru from Soruseiji. I almost want to say ソールセージ (Soul Sage) but it's not quite right. I'm probably getting way too into the details (I once accidentally parsed the name Niagara into Japanese phenomes) but these words throw the Japanese reading part of my head for a loop.

Merisiel did the sketches. I wanted to draw all five of us, but I quickly discovered that my complete lack of drawing talent is an issue.
Either way I thought it could be entertaining to make those and for others to look at them ;)
Merisiel gladly accepts the hero point

_Pregen_ |

Hmm. In the anticipation of my round. What is the plan? As a reaction, they can change to have physical resistance. Merisiel has no area nor splashes damage.
Readied attack for when the monster turns real? Then it either reacts to the attack and turns into wisps and doesn't attack or they will take the blow and attack in their round. Thoughts?

That's actually kinda smart! And I never realized this but Ionic and rangers can use their flurry type effects as a readied action. I'm so going to take advantage of that!

![]() |

Squash just isn't that smart however. Maybe if he observed it for a round or two.
Power attack really only helps if you roll better than a 1 on that additional die.
Another frustration is that fighters are supposed to crit more often, but I seem to only roll low or average on Squash's attack rolls. I think it's been a few scenarios since the last time I remember landing a crit with him.

I'm really good at rolling 20s and 19s when it doesn't count, then rolling under 10s in combat etc...

![]() |

Just realised I hadn't updated HPs in the visible portion, so have done. Will check my other stuff too.

Oi, who passed of their bad combat roll curse?

![]() |

This is one of those cases where sharing is not caring. Thank-you for the thought, but do you mind taking it back? :P

![]() |

Clerics always share .... ;-)
But I did hope you'd hit the red one a lot ....

![]() |

I've been thinking about Ionic's build a little bit and I think I'm going to spend 7 of the 8 days of downtime he'll get with this scenario to retrain his Hefty Hauler Skill Feat for Natural Medicine instead. He's not going to go heavy on medicine but limiting the number of skills he needs to put increases in would be a good idea.

Hornietelle is all out of healing for the day, she has mentioned her option to rest for the night in the Lodge.
If you guys go straight into the next encounter, she will go with no magical healing available.
Just wanted you to know.

_Pregen_ |

@GM - the next week I will have a spontaneous vacation. I am not certain if I will be able to post on daily basis, I should, but I can't say for certain.
I will fill the botting section for Merisiel if you would have to bot me.

![]() |

Hornietelle is all out of healing for the day, she has mentioned her option to rest for the night in the Lodge.
Kayajima is visible from the mainland in good weather, though its verdant forest and single tall mountain come into sharper contrast as the Auspicious Pearl nears the island. Masuhei docks at a rock pier in the southeast... He points out the path and bids you farewell. He informs you that he’ll be back to pick you up that night and merrily invites you to join him for a drink and some oyster soup when you return to Sakakabe.
It seems like the scenario expects us to complete the tasks in a single day. I think based on that we have a time limit.

![]() |

Apropos of nothing, I'm looking for players in my online Sunday game.

![]() |

However you could still try to aid. Another +1 would put Irimiax's extremely lucky two up to 20

![]() |

Oh! Dang I did not realize that, whoops that would put a damper on this... Maybe the scenario has a different set of rules for this? They did reduce the difficulty to aid, they might have allowed them to stack as well?
If not, Ionic's failure is perfectly fine too.

Ionic glances over at the impassive spirits and frowns for a moment, this little cedar clearly has their attention, and needs their love, but he can't fathom why they haven't moved in to take care of it. He gives the plant one last pet and then backs up some. "'e 'eeds ya help! Gi'e 'im some love an' 'ter 'en 'e 'eeds it, please?"
[dice=Nature]1d20+8
His words seem to not be understood. Maybe the heavy accent isn't the easiest to parse for non-native speakers... or even native ones.
Reminds me of this.

Almost finished. Hero point time!
One for Squash for exceptional work figuring out how to befriend Aojimitsu.
One for Ionic for exceptional dwarfing.

cmlobue |

Also getting close to chronicle sheet time.
Please add yourself here so I can get those out quickly once we're done. (I hope; it's my first time using this site.)

Thank-you! I'm glad he's able to be properly dwarfish.
Also I recently discovered that Ionic took a feat he wasn't legally able to. The Scout Dedication requires one to be trained in Survival AND Stealth. For some reason I completely overlooked that. After this, I was planning on retraining his skill feat, but I can retrain his general feat to (in a round about way) give him training in Stealth, if that works.
He'd change Toughness for Ancestral Paragon which he then uses to take Surface Culture. He's already trained in Society, so he can choose another skill to become trained in, including Stealth. He'd also get Additional Lore for Pahmet Lore. Would this work or should he do something else?

cmlobue |

At this point, just make sure he's legal for the next table and I'm fine.
It's nowhere near as bad as when I had a player claim their 2nd level character could do 3d6+Str damage with a melee weapon...
