I do not want to leave the game! ;-)
So let us just continue this week and after my vacation we can finish this game.
To make the plot clearer I thought it might make sense to give you a summary again!
TROVE
Venture-Captain Brackett sent you to the gnome settlement of Umok near the Aspodell Mountains east of Chitterwood to find a mace of historic relevance to Rutillo Irrica. You talked to the town butcher, who had vital information to direct your search and examined the Eagle Knight records kept at the Umok town archive that list locations and times of raids linked to this particular band.
These information sources directed the you to a central point to search for the trail and pursue the final resting place of Rutillo Irrica’s mace. You left Umok, heading to the foothills. You traveled to the point the records suggest and tracked down the old trail leading to the former hobgoblin base. Finally, you entered the hobgoblin base, only to discover a vicious draconic monster claiming this territory. After overcoming the creature, you located the mace.

ESTATE
You met with Venture-Captain Brackett back at the Almas Lodge and learned that the mace led to a trove of recently declassified documents that
detail the influential Irrica family of central Isger. Brackett sent you in search of the Irricas’ supernatural aid alluded to in the documents.
Traveling to the Irricas’ summer estate, you found signs of goblin vandalism and two decades of neglect. As you explored the house, you were attacked by the bandits currently using the estate as a base.
A haunted portrait gallery in the main hall provided names and faces of the Irrica family, and insight into the death of a Thrune official. In a side room, you discovered the Irrica patriarch’s hastily updated will, which revealed that the family was aided by a “savage angel,” and provides locations for four items that are somehow the key to controlling the “angel" where the mace that you found was one of these items.
~
SCORCH
Venture-Captain Brackett directed you to locate the Scorchfeathers tribe, known to be roaming through the Chitterwood to find the next item, a rod. Locating the trail of this destructive goblin tribe was easy in the young growth of the forest, and you traced the tribe’s path to a clearing where the Scorchfeathers had cornered an axe beak.
The goblins were so intent on taunting and harassing the beast that you surprised the goblins. After defeating them you found a rod matching the description of the item stolen from the Irrica estate. An inscription in Infernal suggests the command word for the rod is part of the name that you seek.
~
MEMORIAM (we are here)
Upon arrival in Valten, you meet with Delara, who agrees to show you the locket you are looking for. When you attempt to open it, a spirit manifests: Althea Irrica, the previous owner, who died mysteriously shortly before the attack on the Irrica estate. Althea is not hostile to you, but she refuses to let anyone open the locket, as it contains a portrait of her deceased fiancé. She asks the you to find her engagement ring so she can touch it one last time before departing the mortal
realm. You found the ring but you just now realized that Althea’s engagement ring is actually a strange snake creature.

At GM Nowruz's request, I have put out a call for a volunteer to cover this table between now and August 21, when the GM returns from holiday.
Although we are in the final quest and GM Nowruz believes that the table will wrap before Gameday X even if the game does not progress until his return, the GM has asked for a fill-in in an effort to keep the momentum going and provide more concrete assurance that the table will wrap before Gameday.

Hey wait! is this ettercap/spider encounter the last one? it's not August 7 yet! we could finish today yes? [/wishful thinking?]

Ha ha!! I’m already gone so sorry. :-) Really can’t make gm updates on the phone.
Thanks for everything GM Valen!
In case no one volunteers to do the final part of the quest then we’ll see each other again on Aug 23.
In case the game is finished by then you find the chronicle sheets here and the game has of course already been reported during the con. ;-)
Have a great weekend!!

Hello everyone,
I've volunteered to step in while nowruz is away; I'll prep and get started this weekend. I've neither played nor GMed this before so there may be some discontinuity.
I'll also try and read through the Gameplay posts so far but if any of your characters were right in the middle of something, please let me know so there aren't loose ends.

Have (another) great trip GM Nowruz!! (I'm jealous of you Europeans and your 10 weeks of paid vacation per year!!) Thanks for putting up the chronicles: much appreciated.
Thanks to everyone else here stepping up to GM the rest of the adventure!

@GM(s):
I've got a question regarding the chronicles - why are the items on subtier 1-2 crossed out?
In the guide I could not find any instruction to do so - I only found this:
Step 7: Mark any special boons the players did or did not earn (U) and cross out any treasure items the party didn’t find in the scenario (V); additionally, if you’re running the lower subtier, always cross out all of the items listed for the higher subtier. Return the Chronicle sheet to the player.
As there may be usefull stuff (scrolls, partially charged wands, ...) I'd like to have it available.
Or did I miss a clarification/errata that changes the above instructions?
GM Watery Soup |

Noral is going to be filling out your Chronicles, so any specific questions would have to go to them.
But, in general, the relevant phrase is this: "cross out any treasure items the party didn’t find in the scenario".
Some of the items listed in Subtier 1-2 don't show up when running the higher subtier. For example, if you defeat the giant baboon, you may rummage through their feces and find a ring of protection +1 at lower subtier, but find a ring of protection +2 at higher subtier. The ring of protection +1 gets crossed off your Chronicle because you didn't find it.

Thanks for the explanation. :-)
Noral already filled aout the chronicles here, and I can already see that all of the lower subtier items were crossed out, that's why I asked.
I will address my question at him when he returns from vacation.

GM Watery Soup |

Yeah, you'll have to bring it up with noral, but the only thing I see on 1-2 that wasn't repeated on 4-5 is the traveler's any tool.

I will be traveling next week, starting tomorrow, with access to the game via smart phone. I will try to check on the game every day or so but please bot/delay me if I'm holding up the action.

GM Watery Soup |

It's August 22nd here (and August 23rd in Grenwich), the day that GM noral was supposed to return from vacation. I'm just going to keep posting until I hear something from them, unless there's a popular vote to wait.

Thanks GM Nowruz. Have a great weekend as well!

Thanks for the game, GM Nowruz! Thanks, too, to GM Watery Soup for stepping in.
Thanks all for a fun run! I look forward to sharing a table with you in the future!
