I am not 100% sure if I will have this character's level ups done in time, but I am most likely running this level 5 Unchained Rogue Half-Elf/Half-Varisian - I filled out as much as I could for now.
If I don't finish her in time I do have 1 other Liberty's Edge character that *could* run it instead (Kapenia Dancer Magus 2).
I prefer the alternate (commissioned) art, but put both there just so you'd know which is me :)

Also if you are on mobile you have to select "edit" in order to change info on the slides.

![]() |

OK I updated the slides with my new info. Still updating her online character sheet, should definitely be done by tomorrow :)
Assuming we have enough players?

![]() |

Still missing Greg's barbarian info and most of Pinky's info - though Pinky started filling out slide 4 already it doesn't look like she has a character sheet yet?
Torilgrey/Ezekial and mine are done though.
I have lots of extra time today if anyone needs help sorting out their character sheet for Play-by-Post - just send me a message! :)
Also FYI everyone please check in, if you don't by midnight you can be removed from the party per PaizoCon standards posted on Warhorn. :(

GM Nowruz |

Hi guys,
If we stay with three players then this means APL is 3.
You are allowed to bring a pregen to reach 4 players and I would advise you to take a level 4 pregen because even a level 1 pregen would lead to high tier with 4 player adjustment and thus it is better to go with a level 4 pregen.
Which pregen do you want?

Althea is a good back up face, skill monkey, and mundane melee combatant. She has no magic other than Message.
What is Rossby's role? Is he a melee/ranged fighter? What type of magic does he have?
Ezekial - Level 1 Paladin is uh... IDK what to do with, frankly. I'm terrified to put you in melee.
Maybe arcane magic? Or another melee fighter, depending on Rossby's combat role?
I should have skills pretty well covered.

![]() |

oh yeah he'll be useful! I am just always afraid of level 1 melee people dying in higher tier scenarios (due to personal experience)

Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Hey everyone,
I'll be jumping into this one at the last minute. I've already played the scenario so I'm bringing one of my most quiet character. She's kind of a socially-inept genius, both adept at magic and crafting/using firearms. She can meld spellcasting and gunslinging together, shooting spells out of her gun.
Cheers!
Tess/PDK

I would buy a few Detect Poison spell scrolls, but I don't think I can use them yet (no trained Spellcraft or Read Magic, though I do read Draconic?) But I think everyone besides me can use it, so that's an idea?
Also, Althea should have already had these items but I spaced so she can buy them in Katapesh now, why not:
75g Courtier's Outfit & 50g Jewelry

![]() |

Tess can buy a wand of detect poison. I think that would be 375gp yes? lemme check if I have a chronicle for a partial charge one...

![]() |

If you want to invest in that for your character, that'd be dope! Otherwise a few scroll castings should probably be enough (and much cheaper at 25g a casting I believe?). I don't mind purchasing the scrolls if someone can use them.
This character will actually be useful with UMD at higher levels, so I don't mind carrying around some spare utility spells. :)
Oh and technically I can Read Magic for 10 minutes once a day due to my ioun stone resonant power.

![]() |

0-level scrolls are at 12.5 gp actually, so you're right, I'm gonna do that instead...
Purchases:
-wand of detect magic: 375gp
-scroll of detect poison x4: 50gp

Since being asleep is pretty uncommon in PFS scenarios, can you remind us mechanically how it works? Does someone need an action to wake us up?
How long does it take to put on armor? (I vaguely recall rules about things being "hastily donned")

![]() |

Light armor: 5 rounds to don hastily
Medium: 1 min don hastily
Heavy: 4 mins don hastily alone

Hey, I got a new ability I want to make sure I'm doing properly:
SKILL UNLOCK:
With sufficient ranks in Sense Motive, you earn the following.
5 Ranks: If you were aware of an opponent before rolling initiative (such as when you ambush an enemy or negotiations break down into combat, but not when both sides happen upon each other or you are surprised), you can attempt a Sense Motive check as part of your initiative check (DC = 11 + the highest Bluff modifier among your opponents or DC 15, whichever is higher). If you succeed, you gain a +1 bonus on the initiative check, plus an additional +1 for every 5 by which you exceeded the DC.
So, I would assume, even if I made the Perception check to notice my foe before combat, that would fall under "when both sides happen upon each other" and this unlock would not come into play this time, correct?

GM Nowruz |

Yeah, very sorry, please change your post as you see fit based on the new situation.
You see that the northern guy dropped.
--
I thought about just putting the AoO after then I thought that you guys probably had not seen the post anyway. But you are fast!! :-D
Kind of glad that I did not put the AoOs at the end now because the 20s could have been a nasty crit for Tess. Ahh!

I will be on vacation next week, starting this Saturday. I will have Internet access, but it's likely to be slow. In the past, I've been able to keep up with the text portions of the games, but have had to ask people to move me on Google Slides.
Botting instructions:
In combat, Rossby always uses nonlethal damage unless it's ineffective. He'll try to Intimidate as many different opponents as possible to debuff them. His speed is very low (15'), so he'll try to get into melee as quickly as possible and use the lucerne hammer's reach to help him get there faster. His sling is a backup. If the party needs to run, he'll drop obscuring mist - he has Water Sight, so it won't affect him, but it'll affect everyone else.
Out of combat, will always try to find the common ground and win-win solutions. He'll favor Diplomacy over Intimidate, but pretty readily switch over to Intimidate.

Sorry I was MIA yesterday - had a dental emergency

![]() |

I want to try to get a faction goal by:
"Convince an NPC that serves an oppressive or tyrannical leader to abandon that leader of their own free will by suceeding at a Diplomacy or Perform (Oratory) check with a DC equal to 15 + character level"
Can I do that now, in combat? Or do I have to wait til combat is over?

![]() |

DC 20, I have +13, so yeah I'll just take 10 and succeed. Roleplay in Gameplay tab.

Hey, just checking - we are still *finishing* this adventure, right?

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Here the boons in case you need them:
▫▫▫Cleaning House: You’ve removed Phlegos Dulm from the Pathfinder Society, forcing the cruel half-orc to
flee from Katapesh. While the Kotargo Lodge was seized by Phlegos’s many creditors, Wulessa Yuul reclaimed
as many of the lodge’s assets as she could, setting aside a small trove for you in case of emergencies. Once per
adventure you can spend 1 minute and check a box next to this boon to gain a free potion of cure light wounds. If
you are 7th level or higher when you check a box, you instead gain a potion of cure serious wounds.
Katapeshi Underground (Liberty’s Edge): The goblin merchant Yigrig Moneymaker and his extended family
already maintain a successful mercantile operation in the markets of Katapesh, but few merchants outside of
the sprawling desert marketplace feel comfortable working with a goblin-run organization. Yigrig in particular
is known for daring negotiation gambits when all else seems lost. Once per scenario after rolling a Bluff or
Diplomacy check (but before you know the outcome of the check), you can reroll the check with a penalty of
1d6–1. If you have the Goblin Patronage boon and have selected the Katapeshi Underground as your sponsored
organization, the penalty taken on the reroll for both boons is reduced to 1d4–1.
▫▫▫▫▫Well-Connected: You’ve made a friend who wields substantial clout not just in Katapesh but
throughout the Inner Sea region. Once per adventure before attempting an Appraise, Disable Device, Knowledge
(local), Perception, Profession, or Stealth check, you can check a box next to this boon to add 1d6+1 to the roll,
representing the benefits of the information filtered to you by Yigrig Moneymaker’s extensive underground
network.
