HA! You know, I think I'll take a pass on the whole 'suicidal' bit. Call me crazy. :P

And Elathras is right. We DO sleep too much. ;)

So will probably go with making the armor + 1 and purchasing a cloak of resistance.

using the prestige points, will also get at least one wand of CLW, any other first level wands that will be helpful? Also considering a couple of third level potions.

Random note on the Shard of greed:

Sheila seemingly gave us a pale blue rhomboid ioun stone for free to nullify the curse on the new Sihedron shard. That is a REALLY good Ioun stone, granting a +2 enhancement bonus to strength, and when slotted into the wayfinders we also get from her, also grants a +1 bonus on fortitude saves. Along with the +1 insight bonus on attack rolls and ability to cast haste once per day? O_O

@GM_DBH how did this work again, exactly? Is the +2 str bonus from the ioun stone nullified while attached to the sihedron? Can the sihedron along with the stone be fitted inside the wayfinder?

In general, probably not? If it matters though, we currently have one with all 25 charges still intact along with 5 potions of CLW CL3 + lesser restoration. Buying another one might be overkill for now, but it never hurts to have a spare or to have either Bharak or Uma also able to heal with it?

Elena will buy a protection from evil wand and one of true strike with prestige, leaving her with 4 unspend. I'll prioritise condition removal and the odd trip with a +20 bonus if ever required.

Are you sure you want to do that?

You still get the benefits of the Ioun stone slotted into the Shard.

Coincidentally, I am also going on a two week vacation with my family. In fact, it's already started and we arrived yesterday. But it's mostly visiting family, so I should still be active. But if I need to get botted to move things along, please do so.

I'm cool with Umazara taking the latest Shard.

Aren't we using Elephant in the Room rules in this campaign? Or did we discuss it and ultimately discard it? I can't remember.

DBH, would you mind putting a summary of our build rules for this campaign on the Campaign Info tab? I've pared down the number of campaigns I'm in, but I still have trouble remembering which campaigns are using which rules.

Hmmm Elephant in the room feat taxes. That was not part of the build in recruitment but I would be happy to alter Elathras if we choose to use them.

Are you perhaps confusing Elephant in the room with Automatic bonus progression, Axton? As we are not using the latter. That one automatically grants people the bonusses of the usual stat items at certain levels and is aimed at, supposedly, allowing people to buy more varied equipment.

I'm not against automatic bonus progression but it should be something approved by DBH. Essentially it doubles the amount of treasure the party gets as they dont have to spend any gold on magical weapons (except for special enchants) or the other common stat boosting items, and so far we havent had much trouble with anything.

@Elena. Don't worry, you're going to enjoy the next part. You get to meet an Artist!

Sorry, no update tonight. My washing machine died on the weekend and I've been racing around finding a new one. Plus there were adventures in plumbing discovered when the new machine was installed. So its been a hectic day.

Hey Elena, on a related but completely different note; When I went back to college at 40 my major was fine arts. One of the professors liked to use people with different body styles as models. I'm 5' 10" and at the time weighed about 280 lbs. hadn't cut my hair for five years or shaved for just over one. So he asked me to model for a drawing class for a semester. (it was a very conservative school, so they had their models wear tights or bike shorts)

My wife found it very entertaining to walk up the hallway of the art dept and see charcoal drawings of me, of varied quality, hanging on the walls. She worked on campus so she was through the building regularly enough. Of course my oldest daughter who was a freshman when I was a senior, also a fie art major, did not find it so entertaining.

Are you sure you want to do that?

Sorry, not feeling too good tonight. No update.

That said though I know exactly nothing about art or drawing, so forgive me in advance if I am going to make some mistakes on it somewhere along the way. :')

Don't worry about any of the art stuff. I'm certainly not.

As for the eyes of the eagle, Elthras can loan/give you the 250 gp. He would see it as 'helping the group' and money isn't his thing.

Thanks Elathras, but I think I'll just hold onto the money for now anyway. Perhaps it's best to just save for a headband of wisdom with level 7 getting closer as well.

Final shopping list for me (assumed retraining costs as a service are reduced by 10% as well, otherwise leaves her with 1483 g):
-2257g:

-Retrain feat to sacred summons (225 g)
-Retrain Knowledge: History twice to other skills (as the Ioun stone Elena has is keyed to this skill and already gives it to her, essentially wasting her previous ranks in it). > Gives 4 skill points, +1 diplomacy, +1 profession: painter, +1 linguistics, +1 perception. (450 g)

-Buy a masterwork tool for profession painter (high-quality sketching set?) (45 g).

Leaves 1547 g + previous 27 ish = 1573 g.

PP point expenditure (8):
-Wand of protection from evil.
-Snapleaf
-Scroll of Blessing of Fervor x 2

@GM_DBH: Which language are boggards and troglodites known to speak? I would like to learn that language with the point from linguistics.

The Princess of the market heard you are going to the mush fens. She is asking you to see if you can set up a trade deal with one of the local tribes, either Boggards or Troglodytes to get those spices for the market.

Something like 'You gather the plants and on the first of each month a ship will collect them at the edge of the mush fens and pay you in gold or trade. Don't kill the crew please.'

That's all she wants, get the deal set up and she will reward the party.

It really has nothing to do with the Pathfinders. That's why Sheila doesn't give a s#&~ of you do it or not.

You know, I don't remember when it comes to the BoH or the Haversack. Which one do we prefer? Will the armor fit in the Haversack? If not, then let's get the Bag.

Otherwise, I say the Haversack. Although, it's pretty much a wash on cost. 500g difference. The Haversack weighs a lot less for sure.

Sovereign Court

Even a small bag of holding (15 lbs./250 limit) holds more than a handy haversack (5 lbs./80 lbs. in central pouch, 20 in each side pouch). The haversack's main advantage is that whatever you are looking for is always at the top when you reach into it.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

That's true. That's true.

I guess it ultimately depends on do we want the one that holds tons of stuff, or do we want the one that has whatever we're looking for readily available. *shrugs*

I'd actually lean toward the Bag simply because it holds tons of stuff. Bharak can carry it. You're welcome, Bharak. ;)

The main advantage of the haversack is to always have the correct divine scroll/wand/utility item on top, but Elena can get by with just a few scroll cases for now. I believe water tight version of those exist as well.

Personally my preference would be for the handy haversack, but I'm fine with the bag of holding instead.

The main advantage of the haversack is to always have the correct divine scroll/wand/utility item on top, but Elena can get by with just a few scroll cases for now. I believe water tight version of those exist as well.

I recommend the insightful scroll case.

Wow. Am i reading that correctly? You would be able to cast scrolls just by holding the case rather than having to spend move actions to take them out first? That'd be an absolute steal at 5000g. Shame that's way outside our budget for a good while, I suspect :') Still, thanks for sharing that item, Jesse.
