Belatedly, likewise, Meneas! I hope your holiday went well.
As for removing doodles, done and done! It was mainly for my convenience, because I don't have much visual sense for estimating lengths/distances/whatever.

Squaring the directions on the map and in the text is a bit tricky (as so often in RPG material), but at 12 miles to the hex, as far as I can eyeball it (badly), that lines up most conveniently with the area bounded by the NW edge of the forest and the Skunk River.
Not that I expect that that's a very hard "no further." The Brevic powers that be probably don't care all that much if we pacify more forest as part of their plan to set up buffer states between them and the River Kingdoms, I imagine. (Until, of course, Lina pulls a "March/Flight of the Noldor" manoeuver and sets up a surprise elven queendom. Er. I mean, not that she's planning that. At all, at all.) ;)

That's ok. I feel that the fascinate allows us to get in an advantageous position and everyone gets an attack while it's flat-footed. With some good rolls, we might get it down without it getting an attack off.

I'm pretty sure fascinated breaks as soon as it gets attacked, though. If there were others affected by it, they'd probably get a new save, but the one that was attacked gets to act freely again... I think. Based purely on my glance-over the conditions last night.

I was browsing through Story Feats and found Self-Exiled Noble which would actually work for Meneas, but I think I a) missed my chance there, and b) that its benefits mechanically wouldn't really be relevant.
Sad, because I like story feats, but I just thought I'd share.

I do love story feats, even (perhaps especially) if they're not mechanically beneficial. In a War for the Crown campaign I was running, I gave all of the players a free story feat because of their backstories. Not necessarily recommending that, but they are flavorful.

Hm, although re-examining it, once we make a kingdom it might become more powerful than intended, as most of our foes will be threatening the kingdom... hm. Well, I guess I'll keep it in mind for a feat in the future!

This reminds me a bit of a War for the Crown campaign that I played in a while back. (Mild spoilers for Book 2.)
During a large party that our characters were invited to attend in the country, we were tasked with a rather grisly hunt: County criminals could have their sentences partially commuted by running around and letting nobles shoot at them with crossbows to capture them. Our characters weren't keen on the whole enterprise, and hoped to reason with our quarry. We found him not far off being hunted by something much more dangerous and legendary: a particularly notorious manticore. We dove in to save the poor man and nearly got a TPK. (It would have been the second TPK of the AP: we all died in Book One.) One of the PCs was killed outright, two others were knocked unconscious, and my poor back-row bard, absolutely specced for hobnobbing with nobles instead of fighting magical beasts, was the last one standing. He pulled out a scroll and summoned a trio of eagles that managed to finally bring down the manticore.
We returned to the admiration of the nobles for having actually hunted something dangerous, and made sure to mount that nasty sucker's head above the mantle of the fireplace in our new mansion.

I don't think anyone other than Lorna fell unconscious thus far. We've been pretty lucky - especially against single threatening targets... but as Morof says, someday Rackal will start making our enemies' saves. xD

While we're at Oleg's we should consider selling off our excess equipment - Meneas wants to get rid of his old scale mail, for instance (I added it to the loot sheet), and light steel shield (non-masterwork, which I haven't added).
He may as well get rid of his javelins, too, but I'll hold off on that. Other than that, we should look to buying some stuff. I debated spending all of my money on getting better barding for Veil, but with AC 21, she doesn't really need it right now. Plus, she'll start getting DR in two levels.
Beyond that, maybe we should buy some potions, if there're any available. CLW potions are always handy, and maybe an oil of magic weapon wouldn't go amiss for Meneas... Dunno. Other ideas?

Hehe, we played through that same scenario in WFTC Brental, with more luck than you I suppose. My Psychic Detective Investigator managed to make contact with our quarry via a Message spell before the hunt began. We worked out a plan with him so everyone would be alright while it still looked like a real hunt had taken place.
The manticore almost got our quarry, but we managed to trick him into trading the poor guy for a "potion of longevity", which was actually a potion of Hide from Animals, and a horse (more meat).
We all walked away unscathed that first time. Later we went hunting him well prepared and took him down. No party deaths, but it was a nasty fight that could have went either way.
My Investigator, who is a social beast, running most social skills off INT, did very well in the first two situations, but she's kind of pathetic in combat and helped very little in killing the manticore.
Our game is still running and we're closing in on the end of Book 2 now.

It occurs to me that Meneas will become increasingly opaque as we level, thanks to putting points into Bluff (and Charisma, next level, probably). It's a nice touch, and I think it suits his character.

I'm not sure if Signy would be able to fit in any crafting feats. Inquisitors get no bonus feats, and she will be spending a lot of hers on archery. At the very least crafting feats are a long ways down the road, probably past 11th level, for her.
