I would love to get in on this (as I am enjoying GM BrOp's Saltmarsh Savage Worlds game), but I know 0 (zero) about the system.
It's basically d20 with a few changes and would be pretty easy to learn. All the information you need to play the game can be found at 13thAgeSRD.com. Come join us!

GM BrOp |

Any restrictions on race? (Or anything else, for that matter.)
I posted the character creation information on the PREVIOUS PAGE, so you can check it out there.

GM BrOp |

Since we're a week out from the submission deadline, here's who has created a character so far (Icons are listed with both the names given to them in the SRD and the Core Rulebook:
Cwethan, wood elf muilticlass fighter/ranger, Icons: Emperor/Ivory Throne–Conflicted, Lich King/Deathless One–Negative
Scranford, high elf wizard, Icons: Elf Queen/Elven Court–Positive, Orc Lord/Devourer–Conflicted
Nilesr, human fighter, Icons: Crusader/Conqueror–Positive, Emperor/Ivory Throne–Negative
Daniel Stewart, half-orc rogue; Icons: Prince of Shadows/Faceless–Positive, Orc Lord/Devourer–Conflicted
I'd like to encourage others to submit their PCs, we still have room for two more. If we have more than 6 completed submissions, I'll unfortunately have to eliminate someone.

Okay, here we go with stat generation:
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 5) = 19= 17
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 1, 1) = 11= 10
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 6, 3) = 11= 10
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 6) = 20= 18
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 6, 6) = 21= 18
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 3) = 17= 15
Holy cow! Of course, now I'll never roll another good roll throughout the entire game.

"So, are you playing a Healer, Magic User, Fighter, Cleric, or Rogue?"
Yes.

GM BrOp |

Here's something I forgot to post earlier:
Because this will be a largely heroic campaign (as opposed to an evil one), I'd like to restrict the number of points of Icon Relationships you can put into the "Ambiguous" and "Villainous" Icons.
Icons are broken down into three groups: heroic, ambiguous, and villainous. You may put up to 3 Icon Relationship points into a positive or conflicted relationship with an heroic icon or an ambiguous icon, up to 2 Icon Relationship points into a negative relationship with an ambiguous icon or a conflicted or negative relationship with a villainous icon, or only 1 Icon Relationship point into a negative relationship with an heroic icon, or a positive relationship with a villainous icon.
Heroic:
Archmage/Mageflame
Great Gold Wyrm/Gatekeeper
Priestess/Godspeaker
Dwarf King/Lord of the Forge
Ambiguous:
Crusader/Conqueror
Elf Queen/Elven Court
High Druid/Wildwalker
Prince of Shadows/Faceless
Emperor/Ivory Throne
Villainous:
Diabolist/Tempter
Lich King/Deathless One
Orc Lord/Devourer
The Three/Council of Scales
Unless I am mistaken, all of the PCs that folks have submitted have valid distribution of Icon Relationship points.

GM BrOp |

"So, are you playing a Healer, Magic User, Fighter, Cleric, or Rogue?"
Yes.
You're welcome to not create a healer, btw. Due to the presence of the RECOVERY MECHANIC, healers are always appreciated but not required.

Yes.
I was mostly just making a joke about Whtknt's awesome rolls. But yeah, I love systems that make healing not one class's thing.
5E, Starfinder, PF2E all made healing accessible by almost anyone, or not really needed at all in a party.

Wong Li has not always been as she is now. In fact, she began her life as a perfectly ordinary cat, familiar to a powerful sorcerer named Avaracus in Glantri. Avaracus desired a companion and transformed his cat familiar into a beautiful woman; Wong Li (though at the time, she had another name). Unfortunately, she could not bring herself to love Avaracus and fled from him as soon as she was able. She fled the country, seeking refuge in Karameikos.
She had no money and no appreciable skills, so she joined an order of monks known as The Order of the Steel Fist. It was under their tutelage that she learned farming, humility, and the way of the peaceful warrior. After spending several years among them., she took her leave to go into the world.
Li is very much a peaceful warrior. She does not like fighting and tries to avoid it at all costs, but if called upon to fight, she will use the full extent of her talents. She is not without mercy, however, and will offer quarter if she has the upper hand and she thinks that the enemy will take it.
She has a love/hate relationship with the High Druid, whom she sees as at least partially responsible for her current situation. She is an avowed foe of the Lich King, however. She considers the undead to be abominations that need to be destroyed.

** spoiler omitted **...
OK, had a chance to look this over.
HP should be 19 as it's the average base die for both classes X 3 and drop the fractions. So that's 6 (sorcerer) + 7 (monk) = 13/2 = 6.5 X 3 = 19.5, round down to 19.
Your Recovery Dice is 1d8, no mods as you have a Con of 10.
Your AC should be 18, as its 11 + 4 + 1 + 2.
Your PD should be 14, as its 11 + 2 (Dex) + 1.
Base Melee Attack: You actually have both the base melee and ranged attack of the monk and the sorcerer, but since the monk adds her DEX to her melee attack and the sorcerer doesn't, I have a feeling you'll be using more more than the other. Also, you add the mod to the attack and damage rolls, not the entire ability score. The monk's basic attacks are:
MELEE ATTACK
At-Will
Target: One enemy
Attack: +6 vs. AC (that's Dex mod + lvl)
Hit: 1d6 + 2 (Str mod)
Miss: 1 point
RANGED ATTACK
At-Will
Target: One enemy
Attack: +6 vs. AC
Hit: Weapon damage + 5 (Dex)
Miss: –
The attack bonuses for your jab, punch, and kick attacks should be +6 (Dex mod + level). The damages for all of them are correct.
You've taken too many talents, as you only get three. You may take 1 monk talent, 1 sorcerer talent, and the third from either class.
"Full Defense" is a 3rd Party Publisher feat, which means you can't use it.
Everything else looks great!

GM BrOp |

BTW, WhtKnt, monks in combat are ... complicated. As a newbie to the system, it takes some chutzpah to choose not only a monk but also to multiclass her :)
EDIT: I forgot in the previous post that you hadn't written down the only stat that no other class has: Ki. You have a Ki (or Chi) of 5 (0 + Wis mod).

![]() |

I knew it was too good to be true to expect that was my last edit. :) Okay, here she is (third draft). I think I have corrected everything and gotten it right this time.
As for the choice of class, yeah, I've always had a fondness for monks. I feel that they are underused and the idea of combining a monk with a sorcerer was too good to pass up. It's a combo that I've always wanted to try but never had the opportunity.
I traded Full Defense for Improved Initiative and dropped Flurry, Metallic Protector's Heritage, and Greeting Fist. The +1 on recoveries was a left-over from an earlier build in which I had a bonus to CON and I just forgot to get rid of it.

Oh, okay. I thought that n ambiguous relationship was 2 points and a positive relationship was three points (with a negative being 1 point). Will fix.
Positive, conflicted, and negative just determine the type of relationship it is. The points you assign determines how much benefit (on average) you get from it.

OK, it doesn't look like anyone else will be joining us, or if they do, they can just come along later.
Next we have to figure out what you are all doing in Threshold, along the northern border of the Grand Duchy of Karameikos.
Are you looking to make some money?
Are you fleeing from something or someone, or looking for someone?
Are you following a quest that has taken you here? If so, what was it that told you to come here of all places?
