Quince moves in to support the others.

I took the liberty of moving Jorne into the building next to St. John. I moved Sindiri and Dinenen into the courtyard where we had been planning and healing. I hope I didn't overstep I was just trying to have the map follow the narrative. I am wrong please correct.

Has the map been updated? There is one sprig on the map right where we just burst in. I have been holding off posting assuming that there was information about the space coming and that there was more than one spriggan. I suppose they could be elsewhere in the building.


The map has kinda been updated...
The spriggan is on the other side of the wall shooting its crossbow through the arrow slit. You still don't see any other spriggans.

Lykan tries shooting back through the slit but hits the wall instead. AC 20 to hit spriggan, AC 16 to get through slit.

With no one helping Jorne...I was waiting for actions. It takes Jorne two rounds to get the next door open too!

A total of 4 rounds...

St. John, Jorne, and Quince are within the building now.

Round 1

Door busts open thanks to Jorne. The three move in and the bolt misses the group.

Round 2
Jorne moves to the next door and tries to open it. The little spriggan moves and is really hard to hear or see. The bolt flies out of another arrow slit next to St. John and sticks him for 8 damage.

You hear him loudly curse! A door opening and commotion in the back of the tower. A moment later you hear Jorne shout, "I will cut your tongues out for that!" Laughter comes from the second floor.

The group can hear a bit of commotion and a yell of some kind.

As you get to the back of the tower you see a flaming boulder, which has crashed to the floor and into the North wall. The below the stairs and up the stairs is covered in burning tar. Across the hallway Jorne waits. He looks up at you and asks, "Are you fire resistant? I can charge them but it is going to hurt."

Quince raises an eybrow, "Seriously I could grow bigger and I mean our djinni friend has pumped these bad boy up." He indicates his arms with a look to each shoulder.

"It works. There was a time I had to put out a fire from a bunch of reckless hunters."


Lykan puts out the fire that is on the boulder. The tar down the stairs stills burns. Though with one or two more uses of his water 'arrow' the flames are fully smothered. A horrible smell fills the levels of the tower. Fortitude DC 15 or be sickened. If save is less than 10 instead you are nauseated. Every minute you stay in the 1st or 2nd level of the tower you must make the save.

The character takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.

He looks to Lykan, "Keep your bow nocked and ready hit any foe that appears at the top perhaps that will throw off their aim. Follow close we will want to overwhelm them at the top of the stairs."

Jorne is able to deflect the boulder to the side as they advance! In the next moment Jorne is all the way up and adjacent to the spriggan. Flaming sword crashing against the searing skin of the gnome. It crumples to the floor and the other scatter. Hiding like the cowards they are.

The boulder covered in tar rolls down the stairs lighting the rest of the tar on fire again...

The big puple sprig at the top of the stairs on the second floor map. Is that the one that Jorne took out?


Lykan's attack actually knocks the arm of the spriggan making it drop the boulder above. Then with Jorne's attack finishes the spriggan. The flames don't travel back down the staircase.

The yellow and green spriggans are small and shoot their crossbows at Jorne in surprise. Flecks of saliva drip from the corners of this filthy and ill-smelling humanoids, and their large pointed ears twitch at every sound.

Jorne does not stop there, he pushes the large spriggan to the side as it falls to the ground. He easily dodges the bolts shot at him and charges the yellow one, plunging the burning blade into its flesh with a side chop.

With the enemies I see right in the door way there isn't much I can do this round. Unless I can squeeze past allies and through the door.

The spriggans each stow their crossbows and pull their swords free. The tiger has trouble following in such tight spaces and waits to pounce as Jorne opens a door, then charges into the room.

As Quince chases after the spriggan another one attacks from a doorway. The other two spriggans move away to find a larger room...
