If you are currently in a game or expect to apply a GM chronicle before play, hold off putting in the information.
To make my life easier when it comes to filling in chronicles, if you could each put in a single post with:
Chronicle: What chronicle number this is for the character
History: What scenarios has the character completed? (or been credited with); any other chronicles (special boons etc) - Especially, if you played Against the Living, let me know.
Name:(the player) real name (as you have it appear on your chronicle sheets)
AKA: Character name
Faction: Your faction
PFS: # for the character
XP: starting XP, Note if Slow track!
Prestige: Starting prestige
Fame: Starting Fame
Gold: Starting wealth you bring into the adventure. This should be the total on your previous chronicle. If you want to buy any new stuff... see further on.
Day job: include the roll or that you don't have one. If you want to use a reroll at the end just note here you may want to use a reroll. If you don't include a roll I'll be assuming you take ten. Add the actual gold amount if you want to save me looking it up...
Spend: If you want to buy anything before the scenario starts (apart from your initial 150gp if you are a new character) include it here. This will appear in the "items bought" and/or "items sold" part of the chronicle.
CORE: Please confirm that you know the limitations of CORE play, and this is a registered CORE character (or should be, I know there have been historic reporting issues).
Try to hold off actual discussion here until we have one post per character with those details (makes life easy for me to make the chronicles for you all at the end).
Please add an Icon for your character to the map. If you don't know how, let me know and I'll help. Also dot into the gameplay thread, or just hang around and RP there if you like.

Also.. while this is a 1-7 adventure, we cannot have level ones going with level 7s... so post early with your proposed character level. I'm guessing we will be playing low, but if everyone has higher level CORE characters that they want to give an outing too, that is definitely a viable option.
While thinking about characters, it is probably fair to say that... having at least one character with trapfinding might be helpful.

![]() |

I am hoping to play my 4th level Core Sorcerer who should be compatible with lower level play as well. He is finishing up a scenario but will definitely be ready to start before Outpost opens up for posting.
Once that is done I will fill out all the starting information of course.

Dotting here to track the scenario start.
Ledt is actually playing with Sylvester at the same scenario, and thus I will hold up from posting all the data as instructed by GM Aerondor.
All that information is at his profile as of current though, in case you need to know something now (including chronicle history).
I am very excited to play once more at your table Aerondor, after so many years :D

![]() |

With 3,4,5 and 7 you have total party levels of 19, and an APL (after rounding) of 5.
As that is between tiers, and this is a season 1 adventure, and there are four of you, that would have you playing in tier 3-4 rather than 6-7 (there is no tier 5!)
Lots of spell casting power in the group, although as noted... trapfinding (or at the very least a darn fine perception modifier) would certainly be...helpful to you.
If two of you are caught up in another scenario, we can delay the start a few days as required to get you free.

Thanks for GMing! This is my only CORE character so another Wizard is not helping ... I know. ;-)

Awesome. Six of you.
Cleric-4
Sorcerer-5
Barbarian-3
Wizard-5
Wizard-7 and
Sorcerer-4

Thanks GM!
Shen is actually already level 6 but I need to update the profile!

![]() |

Thanks for GMing! This is my only CORE character so another Wizard is not helping ... I know. ;-)
On the other hand, think of the spells we can trade :) I hope.

Shen Hawaah wrote:Thanks for GMing! This is my only CORE character so another Wizard is not helping ... I know. ;-)On the other hand, think of the spells we can trade :) I hope.
Ha! Maybe I should bring my wizard instead of the barbarian for more spell trading?

![]() |

I would bring a wizard except I have nothing to trade for except for teh common spells lol.

Silgil wrote:Ha! Maybe I should bring my wizard instead of the barbarian for more spell trading?Shen Hawaah wrote:Thanks for GMing! This is my only CORE character so another Wizard is not helping ... I know. ;-)On the other hand, think of the spells we can trade :) I hope.
Ack! 3 wizards, 2 sorcerers, and a cleric? That would be almost comical. Silgil would probably live with 79 HP + false life, but things would probably get ugly. Even so, being the only front liner and a barbarian at 3rd level? Silgil might have to join you up front just to soak up some hits!

![]() |

I'm a battle cleric but I doubt I can help much.
My wands are ready to be used up!

![]() |

A battle cleric is a welcome addition. Two front liners is a huge advantage over one front liner. But with an AC of 15 you are a bit tender and squishy. If you got the healing, I'm thinking I will be sending Silgil up to soak up hits to keep you on your feet.

![]() |

That is true.
I haven't done much in the way of purchases.

![]() |

Fun. Low level spellcasters team playing up. This promises to be my very first TPK on Society play xD

GM: Forgot to mention, I have both played and GM'd this in standard games. But I am very good at keeping in-character and out-of-character knowledge separate.
Edit: I have to do some checking before we start. I have him down as a 4th level character on his sheet, but I can't find that many chronicle sheets. I will figure it out before game day.

![]() |

It is almost time to start so I better post my info.
Chronicle: #9
History: 10-16,4-15,3-18,Crypt of the Everflame,7-07,The Godsmouth Heresy,0-13,6-06.

![]() |

Still need to level to 6 - will be done Tuesday.
Leveled to 6!

![]() |

So, as my post suggests, Silgil will make his first purchase a wand of summon monster 1 for 750 gp and two more scrolls of command undead.

![]() |

Shen will make purchases 1375 gp and 4 pp:
Scrolls: Air Bubble, Protection from Evil, Grease, Comprehend Languages, Detect Secret Doors, Floating Disk, Disguise Self, Enlarge Person (175 gp)
Wand Mage Armor with 2 pp
Wand of CLW with 2 pp
Wand of magic missile (CL 3rd, 25 charges; 1,125 gp) from chronicle sheet
Antiplague (50 gp) from chronicle sheet
Bloodblock (25 gp) from chronicle sheet

![]() |

Isn't Air Bubble from UC Shen?
It is probably not worth, due to the relatively low duration, but it might be good to note find traps is a core spell that helps to find traps.

![]() |

Normally I'm quite happy to try out of the box solutions. However without something like wild empathy, and with the wolves already effectively in combat it was going to be a bridge too far.
If you manage to capture one somehow you may be able to interrogate it though.

![]() |

@GM Aerondor - I am just checking with you before I post. My understanding of the rules is that the enlarged Barbarian would provide soft cover to Sylvester allowing him to stand without provoking an attack of opportunity from either of the wolves. Do you agree?

![]() |

It seems like the classic good cop/bad cop routine with Sylvester and Ledt. Hopefully it works. :)

![]() |

:) It seems it softened somehow his tongue at the least.

![]() |

Just as a note, Ledt can open locks, but still not disable traps.

![]() |

I do not believe you have to hold the item to identify. Detect Magic has a good range.
You are right, maybe "holding" was my interpretation, but the following statements in the spellcraft skill has always made me think that way :)
This skill is also used to identify the properties of magic items in your possession through the use of spells such as detect magic and identify.
Attempting to ascertain the properties of a magic item takes 3 rounds per item to be identified and you must be able to thoroughly examine the object.

![]() |

What about Silgil?
I am sure that was just an unintended miss from Aerondor. I am sure you can go Silgil, and if I am wrong, I am convinced Aerondor will use your action for the first round you can act on.

![]() |

I'm going to go with a move action to give a command to Gumbo, as this takes a non negligible amount of time when you only have six second.
In fact the dominate person spell, which is a perfect parallelism, requires you to use a move action as you propose to issue a command :)
Changing your orders or giving a dominated creature a new command is a move action.

![]() |

Cool, I was pretty sure there was some basis in the rules base somewhere for it. But it is so large these days that finding out/remembering where is difficult.
And then there is the chance that I'm transposing from Starfinder (or maybe even version 2).
Grr, this is a horrible encounter.

![]() |

@GM Aerondor:
I am wondering how far away from the fire we would have to get to have some decent air to breathe? Both sorcerers are small and have a starting strength of 5. Fortunately strength penalties cannot knock you unconscious but adventuring with an effective Strength of 1 (for the exhausted condition) is probably not a great idea. :)
Would it be possible to hold one's breath going forward? It would seem that breathing in bad air is worse than not breathing in any air at all and conserving one's oxygen supply might be a solid idea. A character can hold his breath for Con rounds before rolling any checks.

![]() |

Very creative way to put out the fire with summon monster Shen! I really never put attention to that drench ability :)
Ledt will hold the breath if that is available.

![]() |

The bad air exists in the current room, and (at least) the rooms either side of it. Without going back through the pit-room you won't know about the stairs, and you have not managed to get further into the complex to see how bad it is over there.

![]() |

Thanks. :-)
