Khoran takes a couple swings at the rast with his morning star, connecting with the second, but it is the two balls of lightning that do the main damage, dropping the creature.
Re: Grappling made irrelevant for now by a dead rast. Elephant in the Room does have the feat Agile Combatant which would allow you to use your dex to CMB instead of strength. That still wouldn't let you use cha as it's your attacking stat for use with a starknife in particular, not for other offensive purposes, though you would get to use cha for attempts to disarm, sunder or trip with the starknife. If you are grappled or pinned you can use a standard action to break (directly frees you whether grappled or pinned,) or reverse a grapple (in which case you would control the grapple and could drop it freely at any time.) You wouldn't be able to attack the round you broke or reversed the grapple because you would have used your standard action, though you would still have a move action.
Also, it didn't matter as you rolled above the 20%, but you were being grappled and I ruled earlier that you don't need to roll miss chance in that case as you knew right where the rast was. Sorry about that.
Tristan finds himself free as the rast collapses at his feet and is able to take his turn as he'd like with only one rast gaze to deal with.

Slumbering Tsar has it listed as a bite attack or 4 claw attacks; I'm using that bit the way they wrote it. The bite attack isn't as precise (it has weapon focus: Claw) and there's only one of it. I've had it using bite attacks against paralyzed foes and the claw attacks (more and more likely to hit) for normal attacks. This one's getting a bit desperate which is why it tried the power attacks, hoping you'd been weakened enough that it could get one or maybe two hits and take you down. Turns out it didn't matter as it rolled poorly.
