They are hobgars. Not as aggressive as baboons, but just as obnoxious.

Jahn:
Hobgars are fearless and curious, so they are a persistent nuisance to explorers on Nakondis. They sneak into camps to take apart equipment, gnaw on cables and batteries, and steal small objects, and their social nature means one incursion will inevitably draw other hobgars to join the fun. Hobgars aren’t normally aggressive, preferring to flee from danger, but they attack if mistreated or encountered while tending to their young. A few of the colonists on Nakondis have attempted to domesticate hobgars, but the simians are very headstrong and reluctant to take to the training.

"We should probably be careful moving forward. Hobgars aren't aggressive, but fearless if provoked. Nothing short of a warning shot is going to scare them off, but even then that may just set them off. Hopefully they'll just try to steal shiny things from us, throw s*** at us from the trees or something like that," Jahn explains.

He hurls the pemmican into the woods away from the group.

Ivris-mu watches Jahn’s actions with surprise. ”Well done, Jahn,” it says. ”A constructive means for de-escalation. I hope that it works.” The android attempts to ascertain the hobgars will go along with Jahn’s plans. It gets its pistol ready, if they are attacked.

Bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Regardless of the dice roll, I think I should have chosen a different envoy improvisation for Ivris-mu.

Regardless of the dice roll, I think I should have chosen a different envoy improvisation for Ivris-mu.

The feint works, and you get the two invaders in crossfire.

--Although you might have a chance to rectify that with the level up coming soon.
