Storm growled and bit the Orc that had slashed him, opening a vein in his leg as he did so. As he spun to leave the Orc lashed out with his curved blade slicing across his back, his ferocity holding him up for the opportunity, and leaving the wolf pup bleeding on the ground.

Thistle has snapped at the same one and been pulled away with Rory atop.
As Rory realized Storm got cut down and was bleeing, he turned and tossed a seed in the direction of the tower behind them and muttered a spell...He had done this once before. Quickly every bit of ground cover there was was writhing and entwining. vines on the tower reached out to grab orcs in front of it, entangling them.

With the closest target being quite a bit away, Ovril supercharges the card in his hand and aims at the orc's center mass. Strength meets technique, and the card goes flying.

Seeing the orcs near the houses, Rydell takes a small step and brings the bow up to loose two arrows at the nearest Orc that Ovril threw a card at, and then firing again towards the one further around in front of the house.

Realizing Storm was not with him Rory turns around, seeing the wolf bleeding lying on he ground. turning to the others, he asks in a panic. "Who has the healing wand?" looking at the others, he adds, "If you can't get to him, let me try!"

Storm falls and Rory rushes to him in a panic. Imara gives them both a forlorn look, then glances at the orcs in front of her. She carefully moves north toward Storm, skirting around the orc and making sure she stays out of his reach. Once she thinks she is a safe distance past, she takes the chance of removing her focus away from him, retrieves her Potion of Cure Light Wounds and holds it out to Rory as she continues walking toward him. ”Take this, Rory!”

That’s as close as I can get her while still having a move action to retrieve the potion. Rory is next to Storm right? It shows him several squares away on my map, but I figure he must be adjacent to Storm if he did a heal check. If he's not, then her action would change.

Thanks for Trying Imara, he didn't do a heal check, he just realized Storm wasn't with him and turned and saw him fallen. Storm and Thistle attacked the orc, taking it to negative numbers. The Wolves were pulling back out of the bottleneck, the orc took his aoo at Storm and dropped him as they were fleeing. So Rory and Thistle are 50 ft away from Storm. Rory has a potion of CLW but was hoping he or someone could use the wand to save the potion."


Rydell, pulls two arrows out and fires them very rapidly at the two Orcs that had exited the building and were circling around. ! went into the side of the first, the second went into the throat of the other orc, His eyes flashed red as his throat spurted blood.

Ovril followed up by pulling aa harrow card out and charging it with arcane energies and then flicking it towards the orc Rydell had just shot. It went right into his chest.

Imara ran out and ran up to Rory offering a healing potion for Storm.

The two orcs who had exited the building rushed at Imara and Rory dropping dead at their feet.

The orcs in the mass of entwining plants tried to get free. A few managed to avoid entanglement and left the area, but most remained.

Seeing Storm possibly dead in the thorns and briars he had called up, Rory's eyes glaze over a little bit. Blinking as the others killed the two orcs dropping near he and Imara. Shaking himself as Thistle nervously shifts, he Looks at the potion Imara is trying to hand him, stammering. "We each only have one. Maybe we should, maybe we should save it." Looking at Ovril, he asks, "Ovril do you still have the wand? I know how to use it. Can I have it to heal Storm?"

Intending to move to get the wand from Ovril, wait for a reply.

Ovril hasn't drawn the wand so I assume he'll have to use a move action on his turn to do so. And he will do so for Rory :)


Turning Thistle with his knees, Rory leans forward, "Let's get that wand girl, then we'll rescue Storm." Riding over to Ovril, Rory starts to plan what he'll need to do to save the young wolf.

Since I rolled stabilize for Storm already this round, I will roll the second stabilize next round. Sadly, I assumed the orc would use it's AOO when Rory cast entangle, not wait until they all retreated....

After dipping his beak into the life-giving waters of the well, the mighty Phoenix flutters over to Ovril, landing on the fortune teller and pecking through the mans pockets. I know my next fortune is in here somewhere... After a moment, he withdraws the curative wand clutched in his beak. Pfhhnix! He crows around the magical item.

In the mean time, Shel chants and casts her protective hex on the surrounded Imara.

Move action to move. Standard action to retrieve stowed item so Rory can take it from Phoenix as a move action instead of a standard action. Probably doesn't change anything but he's helping =). Shel will cast Protective Hex on Imara.


Raising an eyebrow as the chicken flutters over to Ovril, Rory is shocked that the chicken withdraws, the wand. 'The bird is smarter than I'd have given it credit for. Now I just have to hope Thiste doesn't try and eat it.' Reaching for the wand, at the same time the tells his wolf. "Don't eat the bird girl, it's trying to help us."

Accepting the wand he turns the curious Thistle away from the bird and Orvil. Touching her with his heels he guides her towards the eastern building so he can see how many orcs there are. "We have three orcs near Storm, one appears to be stuck in the brambles, the other two are not." Trying to draw the Orc away from Storm, Rory stops Thistle, where the Orc can clearly see him. Not sure if the raider is willing to charge, he readies his rapier to fight defensively, calling out. "Hey Ugly! Over here!"

fist move action takes wand. Thistles second move action is to the building. Rory will ready an attack fighting defensively AC 22 with his rapier.

Rory readied attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 1 - 4 = 14 for damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4


Rory moved to Ovril, where Phoenix pulled the wand out and handed it to Rory, and he sped off on Thistle to save Storm.

Shel looked at Imara and evenloped her with the familiar pprotective gray aura.

Rydell moves closer to the others and grimaces when he sees the downed wolf. At once sad that it had been injured, yet glad it was not one of them instead.

He tries to keep it safe if it was still alive and fires an arrow at the orc nearest to it.

With the wand sorted out, Ovril moves up to engage the orcs caught in the grasping and writhing roots up north. He supercharges a card and launches it at the first orc he sees.

Std action: attack the orc some odd 30ft north of him (-2 from range, no PBshot, bless)

What is the marker on Imara? Is that the protective hex or something else?

Rory runs past Imara to grab Ovril’s wand. It’s a fair decision, but she can’t help feeling somewhat slighted. She drops her hand with the offered potion and carefully tucks it back into her bag. She’ll need it soon enough, no doubt. The elf makes her way closer to Rory, and raises her blades, ready to attack if the orc heads their way. "We'll get him , Rory. We've got this. We'll get to Storm."


Rydell moves a little forward and puts an arrow into an Entangled Orc.

Ovril moves forward pulling a harrow card, and when arcane energy begins dancing along its edges he throws it in a long spiral towards the one Rydell shot. The card struck the Orc in the forehead and he stands there foaming at the mouth a moment before he is drawn down to the ground by the writhing vines.

Imara moves in front of Rory and Thistle drawing her blades ready to attack.

6 orcs try to get loose from the entangling vines, one come around the cornet struggling to free himself of vines and succeeded, moving towards Imara, but unable to get an attack in.

Another further away, got free and mmoves around a building. The other 4 were held

2 orcs came around and joined the 1 near Imara, only one could attack though and it swung a blade at Ovril. Ovril took the strike across his shoulder and it bit deep, blood running down his back and stomach.

Seeing Ovril injured so badly, Rory curses. "Blast! Hang on Storm, we'll get to you!" Turning Thistle back the way they came, the older wolf let's out a small whine, but goes as directed behind Ovril. As they arrive, Rory reaches up and touches him with the wand. Thistle drops her head and growls daring any to attack.

Suddenly the action seems to be picking up. Several orcs rush at Imara and one slices into Ovril. At the same moment, Imara feels a fresh wave of magic and knows Shel is nearby. Ovril and Rydell seem to have the two further from her well in hand. The rogue attacks before the one directly in front of her gets a chance to put her on the defensive. He easily dodges the dagger, but doesn't quite manage to escape the sword and she manages to just barely get through his armor with the longer blade.

The drums pounded and pounded stirring the blood of the Orcs in the fight, and where they might have started to withdraw, instead they pressed forward, 1 coming at Ovril again, and the other at Imara. Both were struck. Ovril across his abdomen, once more blood spurted out of the Varisian He felt light headed from the assault. Imara took a bad cut to her thigh even though the protective shield enhanced her ability to avoid the attacks, such was the effect the music was having to the orcs assault.

I know healing myself is probably wiser, but we need to take these guys down hard and fast, because there is no outhealing their damage.

Ovril starts acting on instinct as every thought is cut right out of him by the orcish onslaught. He wobbles as what control over his legs disappears and he tries to fall back. "P-push them back!"

'Blast, Ovrils not build for this kind of fight, even Thistles more armored than he is. We need to draw the orcs attention off of him.' Seeing Ovril getting his abdomen sliced open, Rory tries to bait the orc away from the Varisian.

Touching Thistles sides, ever so slightly with his heals, Rory shifts the she-wolf forward, wanting her to attack from the orc exposed side. As they move he tells his friend. "Ovril get out of here!"

Thistle lunged at the Orc who had one of Ovrils card stuck in him, but missed his leg. However Rory leaned into the blade and shoved it into the Orcs gut. His eyes flared red and he was still standing only force of will.

Shel continued to provided the gray aura of protection on Imara, as she pulled a scroll out to use on Ovril.

The orc cuts into Imara’s leg and she almost buckles from the pain and shock of it. She feels blood pouring down her leg at an alarming rate. Two arrows sing past her, the first misses the orc, but the 2nd strikes true and his eyes start to drift.

Imara sets her jaw and grimaces, glancing back over her shoulder. Then she carefully moves away from the orc, toward the others, and takes out a healing potion.

”What is that drumming? Where is it coming from?!

Can she do a perception check to figure out where the drumming is coming from?


Rydel turns and fires two arrows at the Orc fighting Imara, one went over its shoulder. the second into its neck and only its nature kept it on its feet for a few seconds more.

Heavily injured, Ovril dropped back a few feet and threw another arcane charged card into the Orc to his front. It stuck into his arm.

Imara with Phoenix on her shoulders withdrew from the Orc and pulled a potion out, trying to pinpoint the drums...which sound like they are coming from the Tower . Maybe the orcs have seized it?

The now beserk orc swung at Thistle blindly, who dodged the blow and watched as the orc fell to his knees and then face first in the dirt.

Seeing the orc he and Ovril attacked drop, Rory watches as more orcs are coming, seemingly, out of the woodwork. Realizes there was another orc between him and Storm. To make matters worse Ovril was still bleeding all over the place and Imara didn't seem to be in much better shape. Turning Thistle away from Storms direction with his knees, the wolf gives out a little whine, but follows directions. Reaching out with the wand, he touches Ovril.

Hoping Storm is still alive he tells Thistle. "Don't worry girl, I haven't forgot Storm. We just need to get past that orc." Hearing the word 'Ork' Thistle turns and growls at the one nearest Storm.

Seeing Orcs coming from around the buildings, Rydell spins and pumps to arrows into the closest of the orcs. the first hit the elbow and almost spun the orc around. The second went right into the ear of the Orc, up to the feathers and actually coming out the other ear. The orc dropped to the ground with out a move.

Ovril saw one coming running close to Imara and he moved next to her and flipped a car at it. it sailed past him and hit the cobblestones beyond .

Getting frustrated that it was taking so long to get to Storm, Rory realized that all he could do was fight and hope that Storm survived. Waiving his rapier at the stupid chicken as it tries to land on his lap, he quickly leans forward in the saddle to duck under the orcs falchion.

Rory finally loses his cool, spurring Thistle at the orc. "You stupid orcs, you come into our town trying to kill us!" As Thistle lunges at the orc growling Rory stabs at it with his rapier. While the orc is able to avoid Thistles bite, he cannot avoid the rapier or the angry halfling.

Rydell spun firing two arrows in rapid succession at the orc closing on Ovril. Both went into his chest, blood soaking his chest. His eyes flared red and he roared in defiance. Only sheer ferocity kept him on his feet.

Ovril, took a step back and ensorceled the orc to calm him...and he collapsed as he became dazed.

Imara spins and twists past the Orc near Rory, spinning and slashing out with the liquid blade, missing her mark.

An advancing orc moved up to attack Imara and caught her across her back, nearly felling her
