Player Name: C. Dragos
Character Name: Franzine
Character Level: 3
PFS number: 17148-2002
Faction: Envoy's Alliance
Slow/Normal Progression: Normal
Downtime:
Franzine preaches the lessons of Iomedae to a few wayward souls getting drunk in a seedy tavern.
Performance: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
I'm currently playing a GDIX game of #1-11 with my ranger. It should be wrapping up in a couple days.

Oh, hi, Brunwulf! I'm playing Ezaki. :)

Player Name: Farol
Character Name: The Mad Hopper
Character Level: Alchemist 3
PFS number: 2359780-2001
Faction: Horizon Hunters
Slow/Normal Progression: Normal
Downtime (go ahead and roll if you know what you want to do)
Crafting, earn income: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 Ouch!
Hopper was crafting potions/mutagens for his customers but he messed up order, and bestial mutagens were given to the ones needing elixir of life ;)
@Note:
I rebuild my character using previously 'purchased' rewrite history boon. It only cost 15% of wealth but I changed my Archetype from Witch to Cavalier, got a medium-sized wolf, and lost familiar. As a result, Hopper will not cast spells, and few feats got swapped. His profile is updated. I will create an avatar for the wolf.

Player Name: Adam
Character Name: Gurka
Level: Battle Oracle 3/4
Faction: Envoy's Alliance
PFS Number:59724-2001
Downtime: Retraining Orc lore from gladiator dedication to sports lore. Yes I know it gives gladiator lore but I had it from my background and that's what I picked originally.
1-11:I haven't played it at all
Specific Notes:
My curse operates on a progression if I use my focus spells. All that does is penalize AC unless I attack in a meaningful combat and may give a bonus to damage.
Gladiator dedication allows me to use performance for initiative if there are non combat observers watching.
I will have her character sheet and profile done by today.

This will be the first time I've GMed for a cavalier, so please be patient. :) I've read through the AoN page and I don't have any questions right now other than whether you have a pledge or not. Can you post the Edicts and Anathema if you do?

This will be only the second time I've GMed for a battle oracle, and the first time by PbP, so please be patient. :) Can you put an entry in your tagline that states whether you're under no curse, minor curse, or moderate curse?

Ok. Here's her character sheet. If you need anymore information feel free to tell me what is missing. I just wanted to get the basic layout done.

Player Name: Abraham Z.
Character Name: Oskar Z.
Character Level: 3
PFS number: 100198-2001
Faction: Horizon Hunters
Slow/Normal Progression: Normal
Downtime (go ahead and roll if you know what you want to do): Oskar will use the following boon to roll his downtime with a task level of 3: "Society Connections (Downtime). Check the box (ONE TIME USE) when you Earn Income during Downtime to attempt a task of level 3. If you critically fail the check, you still earn the result of a failure for that task."
Performance (lute): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16 Expert proficiency, so I believe a failure for 8 days of downtime gives 0.64 gp
Please also mention whether your character has played #1-11, or if you as a player have played #1-11: I have played 1-11, but with a different character.

No worries, It will be my first Cavalier game :) So I will try to quote rules whenever doing anything with my wolf. I will read about the pledges, so far I was thinking about pledging to Pathfinders but I need to think more about Hopper's crazy twisted mind.
Btw. the reason that I went with Cavalier was my fascination as a child Warhammer Wolf Riders. From that time I wanted to play goblin light cavalry PC :D Hopper will be throwing bombs, instead of using a bow but I am already excited :D

Player Name: Quirk, AKA Alan
Character Name: Arlo of the Solemn Towers
Character Level: Wizard 3
PFS number: 278101-2001
Faction: Vigilant Seal
Slow/Normal Progression: Normal
Downtime (go ahead and roll if you know what you want to do)
Scribing, earn income: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
I have not played 1-11.

I apologize that it has worked out this way, but I will be spending a few days out of town starting Monday. Should be back and able to make posts Wednesday.
Just a short vacation with wife. I'll have my phone to check on things, but I'll have limited ability to make posts.

![]() |

For now Hopper will not pledge to any organization. I found no information that this had to be done, and he can pledge later on.

Cool. I think this just ties in to the edicts/anathemas of the organization, so mechanically I just need to know if there's anything way out of the ordinary.

Ok I still need to go through the changes with Pathfinder training
....
And done. I will go with Generalist training with Academia Lore and lesser healing potion as a consumable.

![]() |

Sorry everyone, the hecticness continues for 1 more day. I should be able to post normally starting tomorrow. If needed please bot me until then.

GM Watery Soup |

No problem, take care of more important things in your life.

![]() |

Just had a chance to review the changes to the Pathfinder training. Oskar will stick with Spells and will take a scroll of Dispel Magic for his consumable item.

I'm afraid I can't take too much credit for that line. Sir Bedevere says it to King Arthur in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Here is the full exchange:
Sir Bedevere:
...and that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana shaped.
King Arthur:
This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedevere. Explain again how sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
In every RPG game there must at least one Grail reference. I managed to think of a somewhat obscure one to throw out here.

![]() |

Btw. I like how you are interacting with Hopper s wolf. Before I was able to define him, you made it all chearful and playfull furball. I just need to come up with a name still, that would be goblin enough like fleebag or smt

![]() |

Sorry. I "earthquaked" the slide when I was adding my pic.

GM Watery Soup |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

No problem. I fixed it.
Just FYI, I build a safeguard into my slides - the maps are always resized to be exactly the height of the slide, and then flush with the top left corner. So if you're ever wondering where the slide "belongs," just align it with the top left corner or bottom left corner. As long as it hasn't been resized (much more difficult to accidentally do than bumping the map, which I do all the time), it's all good.
Also, my trump card is that I can sequentially undo every single change everyone has ever done. So if any of you flip out and rage-delete the slides, I can still recover. ;)

Don't worry I did too....
Supposedly, there is a way to lock the image in place. I'll contact my Age of Ashes GM about it.

A one piece of advice. In all google docs there is a version history managed. Under File > Version History > Show history
That results in all of the changes to be shown. Worst case scenario you can select the version from before the earthquake ;) and again apply your changes.

Fyi, for simplicity, I changed my avatar to a wolf rider one. TO represent that Hopper is mounted on a wolf, and not move 2 icons around.

GM Watery Soup |

Argh. Post got eaten. Will repost in a bit. Tldr is I'm not sure what to do.

GM Watery Soup |

Okay, so basically, I'm not sure what to do.
1. Hopper is asleep. He is also mounted. He doesn't fall off his mount.
2. Hopper can be woken up with an Interact.
3. I can't find anything on Paizo or Reddit that suggests someone has an authoritative way of resolving this.
I think it's reasonable that Wolfie jostling Hopper should wake Hopper up. Wolfie isn't supposed to move without a Command, but it seems weird that Wolfie would just ... stop.
Here's what I propose: Wolfie "uses" an Interact to wake Hopper up. Hopper uses an action to Command Wolfie. Wolfie has one action left, Hopper has two.
Alternate suggestions?

![]() |

I think Wolfie licking Hopper's face to wake him up is what he would probably do.

![]() |

I am fine with that ruling.
Another option is
- Loud noise is being made around you—though this isn’t automatic. At the start of your turn, you automatically attempt a Perception check against the noise’s DC (or the lowest DC if there is more than one noise), waking up if you succeed. This is often DC 5 for a battle, but if creatures are attempting to stay quiet around you, this Perception check uses their Stealth DC. Some magical effects make you sleep so deeply that they don’t allow you to attempt this Perception check.
So at the beginning of the round, Hopper makes Perception check DC5 to determine if his allies fighting wakes him up.
But again I am fine with Wolfie waking Hopper up, and using command + 2 remaining actions.

GM Watery Soup |

Let's go with that, then. Go ahead and post two actions (plus one for Wolfie).

![]() |

How many more status effects can I stack..
Minor Curse
Your body languishes when you aren't bringing harm to your foes. You take a –2 status penalty to AC and saving throws, but each time you make a Strike, you can suspend these penalties until the start of your next turn.
Also I'll move my token when I'm home.

The flytrap moved before you, and did stuff to you, so you'll need to revise your actions.

![]() |

@GM in my last post Hopper tried to recall something about the odd warriors, can you do the roll and share what he knows? He has dubious Knowledge

GM Watery Soup |

Thanks for the reminder - I just edited it in.

GM Watery Soup |

I prefer to just double the damage, rather than rerolling. But it's only a slight preference.
If people prefer to reroll the crit damage, I'm okay with that, as long as they're internally consistent (i.e., don't roll max damage and then decide you want to double, and then next time roll min damage and decide to reroll :\).
I'm okay with some people doing it one way and others doing it the other way, too. I know it gets complicated, but, frankly, it's already complicated with Deadly and Fatal weapons (that require characters preview and revise their posts), so I don't feel like it adds that much confusion.

![]() |

I prefer to just double crit damage. I'm lazy.

![]() |

Hey everyone, what would be the best way to help everyone remember about Inspire Courage being in effect? Since Oskar is usually probably going to have it going almost every round of every battle, it's a lot of wasted actions on his part if they don't get counted. And I'm sure no one wants me to be continually posting "did you remember to add Inspire?"
Since Oskar's last turn, it looks like Inspire should have added:
+1 damage on Phineas' Produce Flame
+2 damage on Gurka's crit
+2 damage on Phineas' Elemental Toss crit
and +1 to atks/dmg on the most recent attacks by Hopper and Arlo (and Gurka but that was a crit miss).

![]() |

I would suggest putting it in bold ooc brackets at the bottom of each of your posts. On my phone, I have a clipboard in my keyboard and I can pin (keep permanently) text to save for later.
Inspire Courage is still active!

GM Watery Soup |

I've been trying to include it as part of the initiative tracker, but I'm not very good at remembering. Sorry.

![]() |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Ok, I'll try something like that - thanks for the suggestion.

![]() |

@Oskar - the reason why Hopper did not include it in his last action was that I moved before you in that round. I was wondering if I should write something like: apply +1 from IC if Oskar does that.
Unfortunately I know of no a good reason to do it :( And my 2nd PC is a bard, in PBP where posting is separated by the number of hours people do not remember to apply it. I find it equally difficult to use to inspire competence in combats. So sorry, I feel your pain, I don't know how to improve the situation :(

GM Watery Soup |

To be honest, I've been throwing it in when I remember. I think the most important thing is for me to remember, because (I'm guessing) nobody's ever going to decline a free +1 so I don't feel bad editing it in.

Can we attempt the arcana or nature check for Perplexing Magic untrained?

GM Watery Soup |

You may, but there's a penalty for critical failure.
