And here I thought combat would be one of the things we'd have an easy time with.
*shakes fist angrily at the dicebot*

GM Sedoriku |

Okay this combat and thus this mission is very very nearly over. There's been a lot of interest expressed in the mission to the Dispora. Would that be a good next mission. Also if you're uncomfortable with the themes that might be coming up in it please let me know here or by pm!

![]() |

I am good with Diaspora, comfortable with the themes. Also fine skipping if anyone us uncomfortable.

GM Sedoriku |

Seems like all but one person has expressed being okay with the Contagion and Quarantine themes of mission 3. Let me know if at any time things are too uncomfortable or too much, we can definitely work something out!

![]() |

I'm not very squeamish with much, especially when it's not real stuff. Child harm/endangerment is kinda dicey but otherwise I can probably handle whatever they might throw our way. I do appreciate the conversation though, because I know not everybody has an iron gut from years working in a hospital's waste department. :S

EbonFist |

Hi all!
I've got an Aid Token coming in hot for you, boosted with First Aid by the inimitable Flenn Cybertooth!

GM Sedoriku |

Woots Aid token! Rules for them are on the slides! We should look at using it quickly and passing if we can... Sadly we can't double boost it (I've tried.)

GM Sedoriku |

Ardoc, but he serumed up to full. You're really close to starting a combat though so we can hold off for a little bit.

GM Sedoriku |

Joe mind walking me through your trip attack bonuses? The +5 (attack roll) and first +2 (trip property of the taclash) I understand, but the second +2 I'm not grasping. It seems like you should also have a +4 from the free Improved Combat Maneuver Trip that the Exergy Vanguard Aspect gives you. From what I see, your latest roll (with all bonuses) should be a 21, which is just enough to trip! Let me know if I messed something up.

Yeah, +5 attack, +2 Taclash... and I thought that Improved Trip gains just +2 bonus, but double checked now and... you are right.
Should be 21 to Trip this time. And probably the target is Flat-Footed which might help as well.
GM Sedoriku |

21 was just enough with out the flat footed the bird if floored

So it looks like there are shelves in the room. How tall are those? It seems based on the art that the beachball/chickens are wedged into a small 10x10 area and can't be reached from the sides of them. Is this actually the case or can they be attacked around the shelves?

GM Sedoriku |

I'll say you can strike at them through the shelves. the palce has been ransacked by them, and the shelves are probably empty or knocked over.

GM Sedoriku |

We are very nearly done with this current mission! SOO:
Where to next?!
Mission 1 Winner Takes it All: The Sun; Gambling and persuasion 0/2
Mission 2 External Audit: Aballon; Space combat 0/2
Mission 3 Universal Healthcare: Dispora
Mission 4 Corporate Culture: Castrovel
Mission 5 The Golden Caper: Absalom
Action Mission 4 Welcome to the Jungle: Castrovel; Combat and Survival 0/2
Given Api is auto agreeing I'll take the first suggestion that doesn't get an objection before we start it!

GM Sedoriku |

Jungle it is! And with that successful check we are moving on. Stand by for a few posts!

GM Sedoriku |

Hey guys Sorry for not getting something posted yesterday! Hit a low point and forgot to sit down and post anything on the boards here. It's late right now, but I did get your success reported, though it wasn't enough to finish out the mission for the group, sadly. It seems like part 3 snuck up on a lot of people (me too!)
I'll get a descriptive post and move us into the space combat in 9-10 hours at the latest, but for right now we should finalize positions.
The last suggested positions were:
Pilot: Apikinzas
Captain: Roddy
Gunner: Joe
Gunner: Bonra
Chief Mate/Magic Officer (scan the enemy ship for general idea and then switch to other posistions?)/Pinch Engineer: Ardoc
?: Kaath
So first, does this look good? Second, Kaath What position would you like? Third, the goal is to beat as many enemy ships as possible in set amount of time and there's no detriments if the ship goes down.
Again sorry for not being the best GM the past few days. It won't happen again! Thanks for being such amazing players and let's shot some enemies!

![]() |

Life happens GM don't worry about it. Gunner works for me.
I know space combat especially on these boards can be a bit slow moving. Can you outline your expectations for how that should go when you get an opportunity?
If you don't mind a suggestion (and perhaps you do this already) but having the pilot pre-roll their initiative at the end of each post really speed things along in my experience.

![]() |

Do not blame yourself, Sedoriku!
My five stars hint that being a master is much more harder than being a player. Especially durin Specials huh.
And you are doing really well.
This is my first time I am involved in PbP Special, but it looks really fine and enjoyable.
Joe is good with a gunner role! Even with 0 ranks in Piloting :)

GM Sedoriku |

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I'm glad to hear you've been enjoying the scenario so far.
Joe, don't forget you can use your BAB instead of your ranks in Piloting so you'll be a good shot nonetheless.
Everyone Speaking of which, Joe you have a +5 to hit, Bonra has a +2, so shall we give the turret to Joe and have Bonra fire what's left?
Api, Aft has the second best damage but low range, forward is probably the worst weapons and starboard and port have the same (hallelujah you don't have to differentiate them!) decent weapons as well. The turret is the best weapon for damage and range, and it can point anywhere.
Finally if anyone has ranks in computers, the enemy ship is extremely easy to target with the science officer position so don't be afraid to take advantage of it!

GM Sedoriku |

Nope it's just fine! Posts can be done in whatever order, I'll sort out any extras at the end of the round. I'm hoping Ardoc doesn't mind giving up the magic officer chair, as a +6 is pretty good for this tier and combat focused party.

GM Sedoriku |

They are! Ardoc just said he could cover both posts as needed.

![]() |

Kaath, you can activate your solar weapon in combination with a standard move action, you don't need to take a whole turn to activate it.
If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you can combine drawing or sheathing a weapon or weapon-like object with moving up to your speed as a single move action.
and
Forming or dismissing a solar weapon is a move action that takes the same amount of effort as drawing or sheathing a weapon (and can be combined with a move as a single move action or used with the Quick Draw feat). Your Solar weapon is automatically dismissed if it ever leaves your hand.

GM Sedoriku |

They also drew their pistol as the moved so a second action to form their weapon was appropriate.

GM Sedoriku |

Alright, sorry for not getting some of this handled sooner, but we finished the scenario! You guys did a great job of keeping going, and we were very close to finishing that last checkpoint and thus the game there. I'll be getting chronicles together in the next day or two, but first I need you guys to check and see if you won a boon.
Please roll a straight d20 and on a roll of 19-20 you win a boon. If you get a boon, please PM me your email address so the convention managers can email a copy to you!
Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Ah, no dice

![]() |

Nice game, Sedoriku!
All hail to you and table Staff for well done performance! I think we are going to run it in Russian community in a couple months, because of nice experience :)
Lucky Boon!: 1d20 ⇒ 9

GM Sedoriku |

Let me know if there is any information wrong on them, and I will gladly update it for you.
Roddy I never got a dayjob roll from you, so yours is all but ready, if you want to roll and if you don't I can get it to you in no time flat.
Additionally, Only Apikinzas and Joe took advantage of the boon to get one item at a 10% discount. I'm okay with you guys getting something now, at the end of the scenario, but it would have to be before you apply the cash from this chronicle (all of the surrounding words point to this needing to happen DURING the scenario, sadly). Let me know if there's anything you want and I'll list it on the chronicle for you.

Derp!
Day Job (Prof: Bounty Hunter): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Rawr!
I'll skip the item purchase. Not much to buy at this point. I'm saving up for a couple nice level 1 weapons to use with my Entropic Strike next level. :)
