And thanks for the clarification. Since I did not get my 4 rounds, next hope is that we take them out before the demoralization runs out.

Sometimes. Sometimes they write it so that it is supposed to take a long time. Like that one against the pugwampis. And sometimes they crit and take out a player and the fight become a LOT harder. But I'm thinking this will probably be over quickly.

Sounds like you should.
Elano could ray of frost someone for 1d3+4 (point blank, draconic bonus, and inspired) if you are worried about using up spells.

Give me a second, and I'll get a post together! Sorry, I blitzed it yesterday!

Hmmm. +5? Where did the extra +1 come from?

You spent 40 gp to add a +1 to your damage?
I think you have to use up the item to use it as a Alchemical Power Component. If I'm wrong, I am SO going to get some for my other PCs.

Turns out that between my hectic schedule and Paizo being down so much, that I was the hold up in the end.
I fully understand having life and scheduling issues. For the most part, I want to leave pacing decisions to players which is why I asked. I also prefer players to bot each other in combat to avoid conflicts (or my brain melting).
I will try to check daily during the weekend but expect we may all be light on posts for the next couple of days.

They can be added as a material component or a focus component depending on the spell. Ray of frost uses liquid ice as a focus component. Acid flasks do the same for acid splash. Most non-cantrip spells though do use up the component.

Wow. Thanks. Now I see the line in question:
Spells followed by an (M) expend the alchemical item as a material component; those followed by an (F) use the item as a focus and do not expend it.

At this point, I am very tempted to bend the rules on "run as written".
Morale Theodorus is fanatical in his self-righteous fury, and he fights to the death.
He is clearly outmatched and you have gone to extraordinary efforts to not kill any of them. I believe this should be rewarded. If no one objects he will drop his weapon and surrender, the guards can be woken and placed in charge of escorting him back to the lodge for his own form of judgement (or whatever else you had in mind).
If any prefer to stick to the letter of the law then I request we handwave the rest of the fight as I have already cost us three full days of gaming.

Sounds good. He was doomed to drop unconscious in the next round and he dropped his bow and lost his spell. Not sure what he could have done in the one round he had left.
Matrialda
|
That's literally what Matrialda has been yelling telling him this whole time. Sounds good here!
Kitoro

Yea. Just because he won't surrender doesn't mean he can't be captured. Lucky us. We get to receive more of his mouthing. Fortunately for the team, we have Kitoro and Gammama to put him in his place.

Me too.

Hey! So so sorry for going AWOL the past several days. I had my in-laws in town and was unexpectedly less available for posting than I would've anticipated. Still, I should have let the group know I might be less available and encourage others to bot me if needed. My apologies for not letting the group know what's up!

Dammit. I hate blindness. I really hope this isn't permanent or else Inghinn is going to be next to useless.

I'm probably going to use the saving finale on someone. Right now you are first in line.
Kitoro
|
@GM Numbat
But that spell only affects one person. I could see two people if two of them cast it, but why were so many affected? Is this a special ability and not a spell?
Regardless, I'm certainly going to use that saving finale!
Matrialda
|
Looks like all the ones that weren’t blind each cast their own spell, targeting a different person.
Matrialda
|
"Right away, mum." Elado starts but quickly realizes his vision closing on him and going completely blind. "Agh. I'm blind!!"
The nice thing about a spread attack like fireball is that you don't have to be terribly accurate with it. If he wants to, Elado could cast a spell that has an effect somewhere near where he last saw the little miscreants. No 50% miss chance on an AoE, after all!
| GM Numbat |
I do apologise, everyone. I will need to go back and review the last post as I did not take into account who is in what form and who has DR/silver. I should have spotted it on Faliana's but to try to keep within the time I had available I had pulled ACs and was not looking at individual taglines, even though that is what they are there for.
Faliana - I did not look into the AoO spoiler to see you had a longspear and had not remembered it from previously so did not take into account reach. I know which path each took but likely you do have some AoO's to be applied.
I will deal with all this as soon as I can. Again, my apologies.
There was definitely cause to suggest looking behind the screen to check for mistakes.
Faliana "Conduit" Galina

As far as the AoOs go I rolled terribly for concealment so the last two miss period and poorly in general. They probably won't make a difference.

OK folks. Tomorrow I will be packing up my computer. I will still have access to my laptop though it will need to be packed by evening ready to head out Saturday morning. I will be unlikely to make any real posts until possibly Tuesday, probably Wednesday. By then I should be in Australia and hopefully have access to decent internet in the quarantine hotel.
I am very happy to keep running the game if everyone is willing to take another break. I could also ask for a GM to cover the next week if you would prefer.
Unless things go brilliantly, I haven't checked the current progress yet, we are likely to extend past the last day of the convention either way. I would report the game in advance of completion and make modifications if necessary.
I have really enjoyed this group and appreciate you have all been very understanding. Thank you.

I'm OK with it. Half of my games are like this. No idea why, but all the GMs I'm playing with are having time issues.
Kahwen

I'm good with it, too.
I've realized that I've probably overcommitted to games, anyway, so being a little slow on this one is a-ok.
Good luck with your move! It's a big step!
Also, don't worry about missing the complexities of combat at this level. I'd be surprised if a GM DIDN'T miss something. This is the range where things get extremely situational and specialized.

Ugh I'm running my first ever game of high seeker level content and fudge things up CONSTANTLY. So many spells and effects, so many.
Also good with breaking for a few days. Get your life together in your new country before you worry about peeps online. We will survive. Now to pull out that one song...
| GM Numbat |
Thanks for your understanding and patience. Yeah, 2020 is quite the year.
Does anyone want to provide some guidance to your blind wizard to help Elado direct a spell? Or should we move on to the next round?
And once again, I find I did not post.
Shutting down and packing up the computer, see you on the other side.

I'd be happy to - if he asks IC!
