Andor quickly responds and moves to attack...but the demon's long tentacles react to his movement first...

Tendril: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (13) + 26 = 39
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (6, 6) + 8 = 20

...and its tendrils pierce the kitsune, deeply wounding him. Andor continues on and strikes the demon with his keen sword; however, it does not do as much damage as expected...

Hello GM, Andor and his familiar are touching so he uses Shield master to transfer 10 damage to his familiar.

Shirley is a little offput, when he realizes he's just floating in space. Unsure which way is up, or down. Of course, the huge tentacled beast leaves an obvious direction on which way is forward.

Is this thing incorporeal?

"Big thing. Big target!" Shirley yells.

"Keep grabby bits busy. Go. Go." He yells, as he starts batting at the tentacles.

Standard Action to use Tactician ability, to give everyone in the party the Escape Route teamwork feat for 8 rounds.
He will also use his Challenge ability on it... which gives all allies a +3 circumstance bonus on melee attack rolls to hit the thing as well (no bonus to damage)

Escape Route: An ally who also has this feat provokes no attacks of opportunity for moving through squares adjacent to you or within your space.

Should allow anyone that wants to to get adjacent (or perhaps further away) without provoking... depending on its reach... and if you move in an orderly fashion. =)

He then moves past Osprey, his polearm with the green crystal blade in hand, a long streaming banner running off the haft, ready to bat aside any tentacles that come their way.

If it comes up, everyone also gets a +2 morale bonus vs fear, and a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls made during a charge... due to banner

Sorry, could've swore I posted this earlier for Andor's Knowledge check: Incorporeal, immune to electricity & poison, resist acid/cold/fire 10, SR 22, AC 29

Shirley gives his friends a tactical advantage while fighting this demon...

The primordial demon responds with a flurry of tentacles, all with a very long reach...but it targets the ones that have moved against it...

Tendril: 1d20 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 26 - 2 = 35
Damage: 2d6 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (1, 4) + 8 - 2 = 11

Tendril: 1d20 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 26 - 2 = 40
Damage: 2d6 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 8 - 2 = 12

Tendril: 1d20 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 26 - 2 = 32
Damage: 2d6 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 8 - 2 = 12

Tendril: 1d20 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 26 - 2 = 26
Damage: 2d6 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (6, 4) + 8 - 2 = 16

Andor parries the first tentacle and his riposte strikes true...but again, doesn't do as much damage as normal...the second tentacle finds its mark against the kitsune however...

Andor: let me know if you plan to keep splitting damage with your familiar...

The third and fourth tentacles both get through Shirley's defenses and strike him...

Yes GM, splitting damage with my familiar until it is below 15 hp. One question also: Does this monster have combat reflexes as it was able to take an AoO against Andor when he moved forward although the monster was flatfooted as it acted later in initiative? Or was that a readied action as it acted in surprise round? Matters to know if it can make more than 1 AoO per round. Thanks :-)

Andor: Modified the damage. No combat reflexes but the primordial demon isn't considered flat-footed as it acted in the surprise round to take out Xersus.

Torean: Yes, it counts as flying.

Rudzik: Yes, it's reasonable that everyone would be armed. No DR per se but, as it's incorporeal, only magical weapons can harm it and even so, half-damage applies unless you have ghost salt/ghost touch or similar...

Kat casts and sings to inspire her companions...

Torean boldly moves forward and attacks, striking the demon...but as Andor's blade, his hammer doesn't do as much damage as he's accustomed to...

Rudzik fires a stream of cold iron at the nightmarish beast, and his arrows prove accurate as usual, with 3 of the 4 finding their mark...but just as his companions' weapons, they're less deadly than normal...

I am confused. We're in a dream realm...
So the moment the gnome went down, he would have been ejected right? (the description said he faded away and disappeared).
Then Osprey went invisible to question him. (How is he going to do that, since he's still in this realm, isn't he?)
I'm assuming we can't see him now either? Having them on the map still is confusing me at this point.

Hmmm... I didn't notice that 5' step it took before.
Getting kind of jammed in here, if you're not moving forward, moving backwards is helpful!

As the thing looms over him, Shirley seems like he wants to step back, a quick glance reveals neither the gnome nor Osprey, so he does so quickly.

Without hesitation, he starts to hack at the creature with his horsechopper, secretly wishing it were a horse instead of whatever this thing was, as he tries to buy Osprey the time he asked for.

Eorsten's blade cuts through the mist, piercing the mist and striking a devastating blow into the heart of the demon...its tentacles release and the lightning and thunder of the dreamscape increase...and then it slowly fades...as does Brother Dunnamast and each of you...

COMBAT over! Pathfinders victorious!

...and you find yourselves back in the Shades room with Osprey still kneeling at Dunnamast's head whispering. Xersus is there as well although he looks quite shaken and the High Priestess is caring for him. As Osprey sees the gnome's condition he rushes over to his side...

Each of you are exhausted from this psychic experience. The High Priestess looks over to you and nods. "Thank you for saving Brother Dunnamast; considering your condition and the danger you went through for him, we will heal you, feed you, and give you lodging here for the night. It's the least we can do..."

Osprey looks up as well. "Xersus suffers from psychic shock; I must return to with him to the Grand Lodge immediately for treatment. You must go on without us. I was able to make a connection with Brother Dunnamast and talked briefly with him, but he was too exhausted to tell me much. After a good night's rest, for him and for you, you can question him and find out more about this demonic infestation here. You have the authority to do as you see fit but your primary goal is to rid Cayden's Hall of all demonic influence. Fare thee well!"

With that, Osprey kneels back by Xersus and they vanish, teleporting back to the Grand Lodge in a flash...

You are healed, fed, shown to rooms, and rest well for the night. You awaken refreshed and renewed. After a stout breakfast, you are summoned to the Shades room where you meet with the High Priestess and a much healthier looking Brother Dunnamast who bows upon your entry.

"Thank you...I owe you my life...I'm still ailing a bit, but I'll try to answer any questions you have..."

Rudzik taps his arm impatiently as the other Pathfinders talk and talk and talk. Don't worry - you'll get to sniff them out soon enough, he communicates through a quick series of hand signs to the horse-sized wolf sitting next to him.

Oh boy, looking forward to the tracking part! Rudzik is pretty good at tracking (especially evil outsiders), but Wilk has the Scent ability and gains the same bonuses as Rudzik from Favored Terrain (Urban) and Favored Enemy (Outsiders [evil]). Between those two abilities, we're looking at a +6 bonus to all Survival and Perception checks made by a pair of highly-qualified trackers. I'm sure these demons have some silly ways of nullifying all that, but it's still fun to see a central class feature actually potentially used!

The night after the fight, Kat somehow manages to find Brother Dunnamast's room and spends five minutes singing a soft lullaby though the door, ensuring that Dunnamast is well protected from any nightmares. If all the pathfinders are sleeping in the same room, she will also do the same thing there.

Sweet Dreams: At 3rd level, the sphere singer can spend 5 minutes performing and expend 5 rounds of starsong to protect sleepers. Any creature that remains within 30 feet of the sphere singer during the entire 5 minute performances becomes immune to nightmare and other effects that attack a sleeping target, such as a night hag’s dream haunting ability, for one night’s rest. In addition, those creatures gain the benefits of dream feast (Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Gods 232).

The next day, she smiles at the Brother as he enters. Good morning. I trust you slept well?

Before you start to question Brother Dunnamast, Osprey teleports back in, bearing gifts...

"Thought these may be of help. Xersus brought them to battle the demonic forces but, alas, he is no condition to use them...but you can. Again, good luck!!"

With that, Osprey poofs away back to the Grand Lodge. The items he left with you are:

A gem of brightness
5 clerical scrolls: dismissal, magic circle against evil, restoration, atonement, dispel evil

Brother Dunnamast greets you weakly. "Thank you, yes, I rested well...here's all I recall about yesterday..."

He recounts meeting a pretty lass while out drinking, but very little after that. She seemed particularly curious about his faith, and he jovially invited her to partake in the eternal celebration. After several drinks she became giddy and seductively lured him into the privacy of the storage rooms, where she kissed him and he blacked out. When he awoke, he was the dream realm where the primordial demon lay in waiting—he can’t remember how long he’d been there...

Clearly embarrassed by this revelation, he blushes deeply before saying, "What else do you wish to know? I'll do my best to answer..."
