Each of your comm devices begins going off all throughout the day as First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo’s voice breaks the silence. “Starfinders, if you’re receiving this transmission, I’m requesting that you cease your current missions and return to Absalom Station at once. I have obtained urgent information regarding one of our foe’s activities. If she succeeds, she could tip the balance of corporate power within the Pact Worlds and possibly even destroy the Society. I’ll explain once we convene at the Lorespire Complex.”

Opening Crawl Courtesy of DM Kludde
The Lorespire Complex's familiar grounds are in a boisterous state of flux. Hired workers set up pavilions and booths on the lawns, courier vehicles dart back and forth down the adjacent streets, and janitors hustle to prepare rooms for occupation throughout the compound’s buildings. Dozens of early guests loiter nearby chatting excitedly. The festive, yet chaotic, atmosphere persists in stark contrast to the First Seeker's ominous announcement. A lashunta man, Venture-Captain Arvin, strides forward to intercept the newest arrivals. "Welcome back, Starfinders. First Seeker Elsebo plans to meet with the agents involved in her operation shortly. She'll announce when she's ready—listen for the code phrase 'pest control.' It looks like Luwazi is finally going to have us strike back at Datch, the architect of our past year of credibility woes. Regardless of our foe's machinations, we're hosting several weeks of conferences and parties to honor Ehu Hadif, and there's plenty to do while you wait. Let's get you checked in, shall we?"
PCs can attempt the following checks individually, or use the aid another action using the same skill.
BUFFET CRISIS
Venture-Captain Naiaj leans despondently against the wall outside the cafeteria. Workers clad in white chef smocks hurry past carrying a covered tray, which Naiaj eyes longingly. She turns to the PCs and snaps, "Have you ever been so hungry you got angry? I came here to get my snack on and found the caterers in a panic. They don't have enough food prepared to handle the guest list, and they're struggling to accommodate some attendees' unique dietary needs. I'd hate to see our new First Seeker's big day spoiled by an empty buffet line. Get in there, and see what you can do to help. Look alive, Starfinders!"

The PCs meet with Celita, leader of the Dataphiles, in the Archive's Cortex. "Our esteemed colleague's elevation to First Seeker is a historic occasion. As such, we must all do our part to foster a celebratory atmosphere—not only to honor Ehu's nomination but to conceal Luwazi's activities. Your help with creating a positive buzz across the infosphere would be greatly appreciated."

Radaszam, leader of the Acquisitives, alerts the PCs to a potential security breach on the Lorespire Complex's front lawn, where a group crowds the main walkway, hoisting signs with anti-Society slogans. "Looks like these people bought in to Datch's propaganda," Radaszam grumbles. "They've been here all day. We're not going to make them disperse—please talk with them and work out a peaceful resolution."

SOUND CHECK
Inside the Hall of Discovery, ysoki scuttle about setting up audiovisual equipment while a kindly voice directs them. Fitch, leader of the Wayfinders, waves to the PCs from atop a towering scaffold. "Good to see you! The kiddos and I are sprucing the place up for the big event." She stops and beams proudly at a scrawny, gray ysoki fiddling with a circuit board. "They're doing great, but it's a big job. Mind lending us a hand?"

VALET PILEUP
Zigvigix, leader of the Exo-Guardians, chats animatedly with one of the hired event staff, a stocky, brown ysoki dressed in stained coveralls embroidered with the name 'Tall Sam.' The two avidly discuss a cluster of haphazardly parked land vehicles. "Hey, you!" The ysoki shouts at the approaching PCs, "Why are you just standing around, huh? We've got a pileup worse than A-Station rush hour over here. Get off your tails, and go park some vehicles!" Zigvigix nods enthusiastically and adds, "Relieving the valet queue might help our fellow Starfinders get to Luwazi's meeting. Please do whatever you can to help!"
Relevant Skills Engineering, Piloting, Survival
VIP ROUNDUP
The PCs encounter Venture-Captain Arvin pacing in front of the building's entrance, clearly overwhelmed by a list of familiar names on his datapad. "Sparklemane and associated weapon permits unaccounted for. Zo!—shuttle delayed. Envar Tam—oh, this is ridiculous." Arvin relaxes when he notices the PCs. "As you know, we're expecting an influx of visitors over the next few weeks. Some decided to arrive fashionably early, and we seem to have misplaced a few guests of honor in the confusion. If you can help me locate and corral our more elusive guests, I'd be grateful."

The swaggering space-jock flashes a smile as the initial message comes in sounds like some adventure to be had! A pair of hip holstered semiautomatics feature mother of pearl grips inlaid with a pair of dice showing the 'one' pips - her matte black armour bears several snake motifs in a slighlty lighter shade, giving the whole a slighlty mottled camouflage appearance. A bright eyed human girl practically skips into the meeting with Arvin, giving waves to all the assembled Starfinders, with especially effusive ones going to those she knows from previous adventures. She wears a long glittering gold dress bedecked with an impractical number of flickering ribbons and has her long turquoise hair up in a triple bun arrangement trailing multiple tails. A set of bulky headphones are draped around her neck. In total, the outfit looks terrible impractical for adventuring.
"Whoa, hey there everyone!! Looks like we've got a serious mission this time." She winks at Arvin. "Not that all your missions aren't serious, but this one is zetta important, right?" She pumps a fist into the air.

Stepping off the shuttle following their last mission to their home world feeling a little dejected and haunted at what they found there, is a small crimson-furred Skittermander with occasional black stripes visible underneath their fine tailored sleeveless - a new gift purchased from the finest designers on Vesk-3. As such it was a deep violet velvet tailcoat trimmed with vibrant pink which clashed horribly with their fur. Black leather goggles rest upon their forehead with silver spiral patterns etched into them with a matching belt on his waist with a Dagger belted there. A small Midnight-black mote of energy floats over their head.
They lug a large grav-assisted carry case with a couple of their six arms which contains their armour and preferred weaponry and stop dead as they notice Arvin and some other agents waiting for them. Beaming - a sudden transformation from their previously pensive demeanour they nod furiously and hold out their multiple arms to shake hands with those in close vicinity. "HiHi! Me Ki'ren'nura - Ki is kay by me! Me do my best to Help of course!"
With that they dash off, seeking to offer the Skittermander's unique version of assistance to any unfortunate enough to not turn them away at the right moment.

REWARDS
The group receives the rewards that correspond to the check result and the applicable rewards for any lower DCs (for example, a success at the Average check DC earns the rewards associated with both the Easy and Average DCs), though some higher-difficulty rewards simply replace lower-difficulty rewards.
Unless otherwise mentioned, using a reward gained from a preparatory task requires no action. If a reward gives a bonus to a check or otherwise affects a check, the PCs must declare the use of that reward before rolling. These rewards apply to the group, and the group must agree to use the bonus before a PC can gain the benefits.
BUFFET CRISIS
Easy Thankful for the help, the head caterer gifts the PCs with a vacuum-sealed, spoilage-resistant takeout container full of scrumptious food. Once during the adventure, a PC can consume this food to gain a +1 bonus to Skill checks and Saves for a number of Minutes equal to their Character Level.
Hard In addition to the reward above, the food also functions as a Mk 3 Serum of Healing that must be used during this adventure.
MEDIA BOOST
Easy The PCs launch a social media tag about the upcoming events that quickly gains momentum throughout the local infosphere.
Average Once during the adventure, each PC gains a +2 bonus to a Charisma-based skill check attempted when interacting with an individual who is not a Starfinder.
Hard When using the reward above, the PCs can roll their check twice and take the better result (in addition to gaining the +2 bonus).
MEDIA CONTROL
Easy The PCs end the peaceful, albeit misguided, protest. They learn from the demonstrators that despite the Society's efforts to counteract Datch's smear campaign, many individuals in the Pact Worlds still distrust their organization.
Average The PCs gain valuable insight into the crowd’s behavior. At any point during the adventure, a PC can attempt a Hard Bluff, Diplomacy, or Intimidate check to influence a crowd.
Hard Once during the adventure when the group encounters a team of two or more adversaries, the group can activate this reward to grant each PC a +4 bonus to their initiative checks for that encounter.
SOUND CHECK
Easy While helping Fitch and her brood, the prodigious young ysoki offer a few helpful tips about fixing equipment on the fly. Each time the PCs attempt a skill check to repair or reprogram a technological item during the adventure, one PC can gain a +1 bonus to the check.
Average As above, but instead the PCs gain a +3 bonus.
Hard Once during the adventure, each PC can roll twice (to repair or reprogram a technological item) and take the better result.
VALET PILEUP
Easy Solving the problem gives Tall Sam free reign of the Society's parking garage and starship hangars. With Zigvigix's permission, Tall Sam modifies several of the parked vehicles. Once during the adventure, the party can flip a boost switch to add a +4 to a single Piloting check during starship combat or a vehicle chase.
Average When using the reward above, the starship or vehicle can also move one additional hex or zone.
Hard In place of the reward above, the PCs can force the crew of an enemy ship or vehicle to take a –2 penalty to all Piloting checks made during the round. The use of this ability must be declared at the start of the starship combat or vehicle chase round.
VIP ROUNDUP
Easy After a hectic search of the grounds, the PCs locate each of the missing guests of honor. The three VIPs are grateful for the escort and give each PC a Mk 1 Serum of Healing that must be used during the course of this adventure.
Average The magnanimous Zo! thanks the PCs by gifting them a voucher for a one-time 10% discount on gear or equipment purchased on Absalom Station for the duration of the adventure. This discount does not stack with any other discount, and Table GMs should mark its use on the Chronicle sheet.
Hard The VIPs pool their resources together to offer the group some special swag. Each PC can select a serum or grenade from the Core Rulebook with an item level less than or equal to the group's APL to receive free of charge. This item must be used during the course of this adventure.
Congratulations! For each task at least two PCs succeeded at the Hard check, a very effective group! I will post a spoiler at the top with the rewards for easy reference throughout the adventure.

For the VIP roundup Hard reward, Lynn will take a Diplomat Serum of Enhancement (item level 5)
Lynn returns to the group laden down with gifts and IOUs from the various faction leaders, VIPs and others. She tucks the bundle under and arms and waves to the rest of the team "Looks like we did a totally great job! Hope this party goes off without a hitch from here on out. But umm, I guess that's not how it works in the Society, is it?" She grins impishly at the group.

A chime sounds throughout the Lorespire Complex and its surrounding grounds, followed by a broadcast of First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo’s resonant voice: “Pest-control workers, your presence is kindly requested in the Hall of Discovery.” Spurred by the announcement, junior and experience Starfinders file into the Forum’s meeting space.
As the last of the summoned Starfinders enter the meeting space, Luwazi stands atop a stage at the centre of the hall. Radaszam and Zigvigix position themselves behind the First Seeker, warily surveying the crowd. When the doors shut behind the final Starfinder team, Radaszam steps forward and whispers in Luwazi’s ear. She nods as he offers her a microphone.
“Thanks to your courage and resilience, Starfinders, we have overcome adversity time and again. Two years ago, we embarked on a mission to rescue our lost agents from the Scoured Stars. Last year, we returned to battle the jinsuls and won. Today, I stand before you for the last time as your First Seeker and invite you to accept a very different challenge.
“I trust you are all familiar with the individual called Datch. For the past year, Datch orchestrated a slanderous media war against the Society for reasons incomprehensible to us. We’ve recently learned more about our enemy and realized that the Society is not her only target. As a member of AbadarCorp’s security department, Datch used her connections to manufacture a media smear campaign against us. She did so to gain power within the corporation, and her next target is Executive Archdirector and CEO Iseki-Okaibo. Yesterday, Datch instigated a vote of no-confidence against him. If the motion passes, Datch stands to take advantage of that power vacuum.”
Luwazi frowns at the assembled Starfinders. “We cannot let that happen. We can’t directly challenge Datch—not yet. If we’re going to stop her, we must beat her at her own game. While Datch positions herself to seize power, I plan to use Ehu Hadif’s elevation and the presence of our most veteran agents at the elevation event as a cover to send you on covert missions throughout the Pact Worlds. The missions vary, but your primary goals are to disrupt Datch’s ongoing activities and convince AbadarCorp executives not to support the vote of no-confidence. I’m counting on you, Starfinders.”
Encouraged by the First Seeker’s words, the chosen Starfinder teams prepare to depart the Lorespire Complex for various destinations across the Pact Worlds. Society leaders direct smaller groups of agents into specialized briefings, where they present information about each covert operation. After a year of enduring Datch’s merciless attacks against their organization, the Starfinders finally have the chance to retaliate.
Table GMs, Part 1 has begun.

During this part of the adventure, each table can choose from one of five covert missions. Each mission takes place in a different part of the Pact Worlds and requires different types of skills and combat abilities. The PCs can attempt the missions in any order.
Interplanetary Travel: The events of The Last Bite play out over the several weeks leading up to Ehu Hadif's elevation to First Seeker. Over the course of this adventure, Starfinder teams travel to various locations within the Pact Worlds. Assume that completing a mission and traveling to the next location takes about 1d6+2 days. Taking an 8-hour rest is always possible between the missions while the PCs are traveling from one location to another.
Each group can attempt the following five missions in any order. The Type column provides a note about the mission's content, hinting at what skills and abilities are useful.

"We're trying to help that AbadarCorp CEO? Jeez, I guess they're better than Datch, but by how much?" Lynn puffs out her lips in a moment of overacted pique. "Still, its a good chance for revenge. And Luwazi sure asked nicely. Let's give her a good show for her final missions as First Seeker!~"
Voting for (in rough order): Golden Caper -> Winner Takes All -> Universal Healthcare -> External Audit.
Survival isn't up Lynn's alley, and the starship missions are usually tricky to finish fast. Plus a mission called the "Golden Caper" sounds cool :O

GM Xain |

COVERT MISSION 5: THE GOLDEN CAPER
Celita briefs her team inside a small gymnasium. When her visitors enter, she's completing a frenzied sparring drill against a punching bag. "Since my encounter with Historia Prime, I find this activity to be therapeutic. A friend set this room up for me," Celita explains, her voice clearly strained from some form of exertion.
Without skipping a beat, she launches into a mission briefing in her typical direct manner, "I respect our outgoing First Seeker and support her plans. Luwazi is wise not to target Datch outright at this juncture. Such an intelligent adversary, however, surely has countermeasures in place for any attack against her, however indirect. We need more information about Datch's plans before we can strike." Celita delivers a powerful blow to the weighted bag.
"According to the interdepartmental memos I've retrieved, Datch is away on a business trip. I've taken the liberty of pulling some strings to temporarily lessen the security of the Golden Vault, AbadarCorp's main office on this station. I want you to gain access to any files stored in Datch's private office. Discretion is key. Leaving digital or physical evidence of our involvement is more harmful to us than simply failing to meet the objective." Celita hits her target with a final, spinning kick. "Do not allow greed to cloud your judgment. If you attempt to steal anything other than information from the Golden Vault or access high security areas beyond your target, neither the Society nor I can help you."
Celita provides the PCs with a company directory listing the location of Datch's private office on the Golden Vault's ninth floor and encourages the PCs to make their own preparations before attempting the mission.
I will give you a chance to make preparations before proceeding to the Golden Vault. Some preparations you might want to consider include forging documents, crafting disguises, etc.
I also want to give others a chance to weigh in on the mission choice. I won't lock you into The Golden Caper just yet. I don't want anyone to feel like they didn't get a voice simply because they were not the first to respond! Though generally if one player says we should go this way and another player seconds the motion there is a good chance I am going to move you in that direction! I'm trying to keep the right balance between waiting and moving forward.

Dutifully joining the crowd, Ki listens to the speech intently, wondering where Master Nura has gone since their last meeting with them. Always happy to help, especially to help against someone is being naughty, Ki nods enthusiastically. They turn to Lynn and shrug. "Me no know of this Abadar CEO much - they not nice? Better than Datch?" they enquire as they make their way to their appointed Starship in the hangar. Looking over the data given they smile "Castrovel good to me!"
Whilst travelling they replace their suit with a newly minted set of Lashunta weave and strap the combat webbing of their Heavy cannon to their lower arms - the Plasma cannon bearing the sigils of the Hellknights.
Order is fine by me ^^
Ninja'd Edit
Meeting with Celita, Ki puts the heavy cannons away, leaving only pistol and dagger for the mission. Rushing to the Starfinder Quartermaster they ask for some supplies as needed Polymorphic serum Mk2 . "Ki no good with forging me afraid, nufriend usually does that but they have to stay behind. The others can help cover for them by being extra convincing! I'd hate for you to end up in some AbadarCorp security holding cell, Azara!"
Once the group is ready to enter the building, Lynn begins to ♪♫ hum an urgent, resonant melody ♪♫. The hum settles into a standing resonance that forms around herself and her gear. As the sonic ripples settle in, you see a far plainer looking human woman in black business suit that manages to look both stylish and totally appropriate at the same time. If you have any further preparations to make go ahead and describe them with your next post and make what you think is an appropriate check then move on to the Golden Vault.
Ki'ren'nura knows The Golden Vault is AbadarCorp's headquarters, and as such most of the its upper levels contain offices, boardrooms, and chapels. Several subterranean levels house untold quantities of material wealth, guarded by rigorous security measures.
LINE-04 and Daata work together to forge some ID cards for each member of the team, and LINE-04 creates a disguise for herself. The only way to know if they will be convincing enough is to try them.
PUBLIC RECEPTION
The Golden Vault is a short walk from the Lorespire Complex. The gleaming building is a marvel of smooth glass faces interspersed with panels of solid gold. A palatial reception area accommodates a constant stream of business professionals. The pyramidal chamber's walls are transparent aluminum and the floor is gold-veined black marble. Steps mount a raised platform that ends abruptly in a partition of glass and marble with four turnstile entrances. Beyond the partition is an elevator. The only way to access the elevator to Datch's office is through one of the turnstiles. A receptionist inside a reinforced booth controls each turnstile.
Infiltration: Each PC may use Bluff, Diplomacy, Disguise, or a similar creative solution to fool the receptionist. PCs who forged documents, crafted a disguise, or made similar preparations may use these to gain a bonus to their check, (added by me in secret). I may also grant bonuses for exceptional roleplaying. If a PCs fails they can try again at a different turnstile; too many failures may have consequences however. Everyone go ahead and give me 3 checks.

"Please move out of the way of my client"
"Excuse me sir, take one step backwards from my client"

"If you wish to speak to my client you need to speak to her secretary"
Viper does the best she can to be seen to be ensuring non-VIP functionaries don't get to harras or annoy her VIP client.

Somehow I completely missed the mission brief for The Golden Caper, despite posting immediately after it. Hopefully Lynn's forged credentials are sufficient for K'saret who isn't very good at subterfuge.

Having downed the polymorphic serum, Ki is now wearing a much plainer Ysoki shape with dark grey fur and a white patch over their right eye. On top of that they don a straight cut business suit emblazoned with the golden key symbol of Abadarcorp, their pistol and knife hidden under the jacket. Feeling strange with only four limbs they move up to the receptionist and cough to catch their attention, trying hard to remove the usual inflection from their voice.
"Good Afternoon, I am here for my meeting at 2 o'clock, I will need access to the top offices for such - I have been told to obtain my access pass here before I meet with Director Ebaki. This meeting can help us all." They finish with a well known Abadar saying hoping to keep up the ruse - and the fact that it is helping was an added bonus.

SECURITY CONTROL ROOM
Two unmarked steel doors flank a receptionist's desk, each leading to different security areas. The doors are locked (Engineering to disable) but located in a spot that security cameras don't cover well. A PC who succeeds at a Stealth check can slip through either door unnoticed. This check is reduced if the PCs distract all four receptionists.
According to Celita, beyond the doors, a narrow corridor leads to a small, rectangular security room. A PC who succeeds at a Computers check in this room can deactivate security cameras in the area and delete footage of the group's presence.
So in summery Stealth up to the door, Engineering to open it, Computers once inside. Only one PC need enter the security room and succeed at the computers check though others can aid. If Stealth isn't your thing, you can try to assist by causing a distraction.

Would it be helpful to use Daata's hover drone? Not a lot by way of stealth, but +20 Computers and +19 Engineering.

Lynn's humming changes pitch as she turns her attention to Viper 6. Shimmering ripples of light cascade from her to settle upon the operative, turning her invisible. If this'll take longer than 6 mins, Lynn can come with you in order to provide more time) She turns her attention to Daata's hover drone and does the same for the little guy. (Invis for the hover drone so it can potentially take the lead on the computers check. You now have a +20 on stealth checks.)

Capitalizing on Lynn's invisibility, Daata uses his custom rig to steer Mikey into the control room, remotely operating the drone's functions.
