One piece of information. From 31 of August till 5th of September I will be on vacation in a sort of remote place. I should be able to post normally, but if I stay silent please feel free to bot me.
Sorry for the inconvenience,

Aarvid, this may interest you:
Society Shepherd (Slotless Boon)
You work to rebuild the Starfinder Society from the brink of disaster by recruiting new agents. Prerequisites: Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) Tier 1 Cost: 0 Fame (see below)
Benefit: If you brought a new player—a player without a Starfinder Society character or playing their first Starfinder Society session—you earn 1 additional Fame and 1 additional Reputation with the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction.
Special: You can benefit from this boon only a number of times equal to your current Reputation Tier with the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction. Each time you fulfill the requirements of this boon, mark it on your Chronicle sheet along with the associated Reputation Tier. Have the GM sign beside this notation. The player you bring does not have to play at the same table as you.
Bold for emphasis. If you've got a Second Seeker at another table, have the GM ping me for confirmation.
For Aarvid's son, if you don't have a copy of the 'Welcome to Starfinder' boon let me know and I'll dredge one up for you.

I still need to do a tagline & profile info, will do that ASAP.
I really wish they had Starfinder-specific pictures for avatars :(

They do, sort by date. All of the new icons don't get tagged right away, if at all, so they dont get their own sort options, but there are lots of Starfinder specific ones. Within the first few pages of avatars you should see them.

Sorry for delay in getting the sheet up--you should be able to click to it from my tagline now.

Reminder for your equipment:
All of your analog melee weapons are replaced with classically styled equivalents. They have the same stats as your existing weapons, however they count as archaic.
All of your firearms have been replaced with Bows, and you've been given 30 arrows. A bow is a level 1 special weapon with range of 60 ft, damage of 1d6 P, and has the Quick Reload property, effectively meaning you don't need to worry about reloading it. Note: None of you are likely proficient with the bow, so that will result in a -4 nonproficiency penalty.
Your armor is permitted as-is, however you'll need to turn off all of your environmental protections and powered features.
This scenario does have the Starship tag, so starship boons will be relevant. Unless you TPK before that happens =P.

Unless you TPK before that happens =P.
With our reduced firepower, that is a concern!

And I thought "Speaker for the Dead" was a symbolic name :)

Sickened
You take a –2 penalty to attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.
Vaal Noor |
Would (I'm guessing) Euiuyou and Crawrt happen to worship Yaraesa? She is the goddess of knowledge, mental perfection, scholarship and science, after all - and Castrovel is a center of worship...
Yaraesa’s Wisdom (Social; Limited-Use): By helping stabilize Enereth-7, you’ve earned the attention of the goddess Yaraesa. When you slot this boon, you gain a +1 bonus to all skill checks made to recall knowledge. You also gain a +2 insight bonus to all checks made to influence or interact with followers of Yaraesa. Finally, once per adventure when you roll a skill check to recall knowledge, you can check a box that precedes this boon to reroll the result.

With regards to finding the way for the caravan below are the bonuses for various PC's
Vecro: Acrobatics +7, Surival +5
Val Noor: Acrobatics +3, Surival 0
Raelis: Acrobatics +6, Surival 0
Lexicor: Acrobatics +2, Surival +1
Laanok: Acrobatics +7, Surival +4
Speaker of the Dead: Acrobatics 0, Surival +3
I went through your skills and it seems that the two highest bonuses are from Vecro and Laanok. So I propose that Laanok makes the roll, the rest aids.

Back in about 36 hours! Please bot me as needed.
/Speaker for the Dead\ |
Sorry to be a pain--I won't be able to post from Wednesday to Friday this week. Please bot me as needed.
/Speaker for the Dead\ |
Mainly, I want to figure out what the device is and whether he/it is related to the panic. If so, gently try to talk a way to calm things down.
Lexicor |
Since I am somewhat new at the negative side of damage in SFS, I wanted to make sure I understand what happens to Lexicor.
so he is -22 damage. So with 6SP and 13HP, I am assuming he lost the 6SP first, then the next 13HP...
So is Lex just unconscious (or unconscious AND dying? or not dying because of being constructed?)
Vecro |
Or wait unconscious hoping that one of your teammates will heal you making you operational :)
But seeing how we are all over the place I would not count on it. ;)
Vaal Noor |
Science Officer or Engineer when needed, and a lame gunner when there's nothing else.
Computers +10
Engineering +11
Gunnery +4
Raelis |
I think I probably fit captain best? I'll do whatever makes sense for the group.
Vecro |
So I went through all the profiles and this is where we are
Speaker for the Dead - Magic Officer +9 mysticism, Gunner +0 ;)
Laanok - Chief Mate (+7 athletics), Gunner +2, Pilot +5 (1 rank)
Lexicor - Pilot +8(2 ranks), Gunner +3, Engineer/Science officer +8
Raelis - Captain (+8 diplomacy), Gunner +2
Vaal Noor - Engineer/Science Officer +10/11, Gunner +4
Vecro - Gunner +5, Captain (+6), Chief Mate
So given people flexibility our "best" comp is:
Pilot: Lexicor
Engineer/Science Officer: Vaal Noor
Captain: Raelis
Magic Officer - Speaker for the Dead
Gunners: Laanok, Vecro
Of course, there is flexibility with the additional roles, And for the most part, Drake can support up to 3 gunners.
For the boons Vecro has Defender of the Fleet (Starship Boon) which either gives us better bonus form the computer (+2 instead of +1) or to boost our guns (you may reroll every 1). If you have strong preferences which option do we want speak now, if not I will take better computer.
Vecro |
@Laanok take a look at this dropbox from my fellow GM Dropbox
We are flying Drake tier 2 (there is a file there with the stats) and then open 2nd file for gunner, it describes actions that you may take.
Besides torpedoes (only 5 of them, do 4d8 dmg), there is a coilgun (4d4 damage) and both of them can shoot at every direction.
Then there is a gyrolaser (1d8 dmg) that can shoot at the front arc and sides with -2 mod to hit.
So you probably want to shoot the coilgun 4d4, natural 20 means that you scored critical but in space combat it does not mean extra damage. It simply means that one of the enemy systems will be damaged

@Vecro: Thanks for organising the starship combat for us--it's very helpful.
Vecro |
Your welcome. I try to be helpful if I see a way to make games easier.
GM's usually do plenty of other stuff during the game so I like it when I may make it easier for them.
@Lexicor - the most common maneuver when you don't want to do any odd stuff (like fly sidewise or barrel roll) you want to do Evade which if you pass the DC adds +2 to AC.
The Bot Behind the Screen |
I probably should have posted a 'crash course' in starship combat given that this is tier 1-4. Sorry 'bout that. However, you seem to be utterly decimating this poor drone ship.
The vast majority of Starship combat actions are here and here. There are a couple other roles in the Character Operations Manual here.
The Bot Behind the Screen |
As we approach the end of the scenario I'll need everyone to roll a d20 for potential gameday boons. If you roll a 19 or 20, follow it up with a d3.
Boon for Mr. GM?: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Also make sure you've got your SFS info and day job rolls (if applicable). I think most of them are in the recruitment thread so I'll assemble those later.

Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Lexicor |
Lexicor... are you sure you have 3 Wayfinders rep and not 6?
I am not sure, as it is listed as fame on the sheet. But correct, I had 3 scenarios so far. All with Wayfinders. So yes, probably 6.
