Healing between encounters - Inghinn (and her player) didn't think to do this after the earlier fight, perhaps due to her youth and lack of wisdom after the spirit's influence (or because her player didn't think about it). All that to say I'm not going to retroactively heal her up now.
Part 2 - Yeah, I think running this as part of Gameday IX sounds like a good idea. Who doesn't like the potential for convention boons?!

![]() |

Pt 2 - Heck yea.

![]() |

And I will throw the fly into the ointment, here...maybe.
I'm actually planning to play Kahwen in the special during Gameday IX.
He's played in every online special offered since he was first created and I want to keep that streak going.
And, because I'm a big dummy who doesn't plan ahead/isn't good at math, once I finish this one and the special, Kahwen will be 8th level so he'll be out of tier for part 2.
Which, I guess is a good thing because it means there's no reason to consider waiting for Kahwen to be available.
TLDR: It's a great group and it should go on without me.

GM Numbat |

Oh, Kahwen! You inspired the set and now you abandon us. You can play the special another day, it will come around again.
Seriously, do what works best for you but you will be missed.
Inghinn - noted.
I will put in for Gameday IX and note it as recruited by invitation. If we have places available then we can extend an invitation to others, including some who posted interest for part two only when I first recruited.

Happy to stick around for Part II and no problem with making it an official Gameday IX table.
Regarding a replacement for Kahwen, I remember Tusk saying they had a lvl 7 character who'd played Part I, but not Part II.

![]() |

There's a chance my table for the special won't make. It's still a ways away but there's only 2 players in my tier so far.
So...maybe I will be available to play part 2 with you guys.

![]() |

About part 2: do you have a gameplay and/or discussion thread st up yet so I can dot and delete and not lose track?

![]() |

Remember that I compiled the clue list here. I belive we have sucessfully cleansed all the corrupted monuments now and we probably need to track down the villains that did it.

Hey folks! My wife is going into labor with our first child so I’m probably going to be afk for a couple days at least. Please feel free to bot me. Botting instructions should be up in my profile if there’s any excitement to get through.

![]() |

We'll see you in three weeks!
Seriously, everything will be fine but you will get a total of approximately 17 hours of sleep over the next month.
Congratulations! It is a great and terrible experience. Amazing and exhausting.

Thanks for this. I would have spent an hour scouring posts for these instead of just a minute or two reviewing.

My thoughts will be with you and your growing family. Enjoy each precious moment.

I forgot to say something earlier but this was a really good idea! Tahnk-you for putting it together Kit!

No problem. I always struggle with games where they feed you all the info in snippets and I did it for my own sanity.

It was good (and I might steal it), but it was a bit confusing to choose an internal spoiler. Having a label for each sub-spoiler or a standard “key” you establish at the start of an adventure (1. Immunities, 2. Resistances, 3. DR, 4. Spell-like abilities etc) might be handy. I ended up just choosing sub-spoilers at random and hoping the information inside would answer Matrialda’s most common questions. If a spoiler would be empty (for example, a creature has no immunities), then inside the spoiler could say something like “None - choose another”. Granted, this would be a lot of work for the GM for each new creature.

GM Numbat |

It certainly has a random element to it.
I tried to make sure I gave a particularly useful but not too obscure piece of information on identifying the creature and then left the rest to chance.
I know not all GMs allow specific requests for the type of information recalled though many do. I was looking for a way to streamline the process for PbP without adding too much extra work for me.
I will consider labels or hints as to the contents. Unfortunately, nested spoilers can't themselves be labelled so they would need to be tagged above.
Thank you for the feedback.

A single action can only provoke a single AoO from a single creature. So leaving two threatened squares does not provoke two attacks from one creature (though the same movement might provoke one AoO each from two creatures). Does that help, or just make it more muddy?

![]() |

What Matrialda said. And Green would only take an AoO if Faliana had Combat reflexes, though technically, she could decide to not take her AoO vs. Red and wait for Green to Provoke and attack it instead.
Similarly, for what I just did, they both get their AoO when I leave my first square and my Acrobatics check to avoid their AoO would occur then and the DC would increase by 2 (it's their CMD.)
Again, I guess, technically, one or both of them could wait until I got between them to get the flank bonus on their attempt to hit me if I fail my Acrobatics check, but, even if they have combat reflexes, they only get one shot, not one for every threatened square I move through.
And, since I'm not moving through either of their squares, I can continue my movement whether they hit me or not.

![]() |

Combat reflexes was her first level feat. She gets 3 AoO per turn.

GM Numbat |

Faliana had very nicely put her three AoO's in a spoiler on her turn.
I thought it was only one per but at this stage, I have so many systems rattling around that sometimes I confuse the details. Normally I just look them up during PbP but I only remembered the reach while I was away from the computer and returned to add the extra AoO to Green but then had sudden doubts.
Thank you all for your support.

I know what you mean. I'm trying to remember if healing in 2e works like healing in Starfinder or like healing in 1e.

Ooof. I messed up the die size for a PF1 channel energy the other week. I could have sworn it was a d8! But between PF1 SF PF2 and a few in person (well VTT) 5E games I've got too many rules systems in my head.

![]() |

Yeah, I may be getting in on a 5E game. I'm sure my brain will explode.
I dabble in Savage Worlds, too but that system is so different, its harder to conflate rules.

![]() |

Yeah, that's really the worst of it - the three systems are similar, but different enough that you can't really trust your instinct in any of them. Fun times. XD

![]() |

Kitoro is welcome to snag Matrialda's wand to use on Faliana if her own is not easily found. Otherwise Matrialda will attempt to shame the stick into doing the right thing on her next turn.

GM Numbat |

Hey, GM, is there still a spot open in part 2 for Gameday?
I'd like to take it, if so.
Elado and Kitoro are the only two to have dotted in, so plenty of room.
Everyone in this group has first dibs. I will offer to other players only once we have completed this scenario and confirmed who is continuing.
Was about to post but currently having a significant allergy attack. Should be back soonish.

*gurgle* *gurgle* *thumbs up!*

GM Numbat |

Next game, I may suggest a Discord chat channel (I have one available) so we can @players so they know when they are up or the story has moved on. I have experienced a GM do that with Google Chat and it worked well.
If we haven't seen Inghinn in the next couple of hours, would someone care to bot them. Time with baby is precious. Time sleeping when possible, even more so.

Craft (textiles), Boons, Take 10: 10 + 17 + 3 = 30
A note - Matrialda has some GM credit coming into effect once she finishes this scenario, so she might be leveling up between Part I and Part II (I need to verify). I don't think that'll cause any problems (she'll still be in tier for the game), but best that it doesn't come as a surprise to the GM.
