Massielo buddy are you still around? Haven't heard from you since February.

Greta Gyllenhår |

If he hasn't posted in that long he may have stopped getting updates in his campaign tab... it might be worth having someone PM him?
Also, sorry I didn't get my little distraction worked out last night- I fell asleep on the couch after dinner. I'm working on it right now though.

GM Losonti |

Unfortunately, it looks like he hasn't posted anywhere on the boards since mid-February.

Here's Greta's boy-toy. I'm out of time to post fluff right now but he's a handsome and charming man who enjoys dancing and reciting poetry. He gets teased a bit by the other crusaders because he's not very strong and "fights like a girl" but he has the confidence to take that in stride, and to be with a woman who is dramatically stronger than he is.

Fred Junior |

Junior’s jelly, lol.

Posting this in all my games. I'm going to be traveling from June 8th through June 12th. I'll do my best to keep up in my free time.

Fred Junior |

That's right when my father in law is visiting so that works for me.

Selann Juris |

I'm on vacation this week and have limited access to my computer. I will try to keep up but feel free to NPC me if needed. I'll be back home Sunday night.

Selann Juris |

Yay! Let's kill some demons!

GM Losonti |

Hey everyone, got a big effortpost coming along, but this week has been hell on my concentration. Catching up with work, my cat needed emergency surgery, and now I've also got a repair bill from being rear ended. Bleh.

Fred Junior |

Daaamn. I hope kitty is fine at least?

GM Losonti |

Yeah, he's in good shape. Very angry about the cone stopping him from pulling out his sutures. For once, I don't have anything going on tomorrow, so my plan is to sit down at the computer until I get something done, lol.

Fred Junior |

I'm glad he's ok!
I remember when my wife's cat had, I think 60 bladder stones. When he got out he had the cone of shame and stitches in his belly. That's when he finally made peace with me, cause I was able to dote on him during the day when he recovered.

Benedic |

There's nothing sadder than a playful kitty in a cone. Glad he's not seriously injured!

Tristan de Lion |

Happy to hear the cat is recovering as only cats can; ornery and playful.

Selann Juris |

How do you get stuck with a repair bill when you are rear ended? You can't control anything about a car coming at you from behind! Sneak attack, extra d6 damage, etc!

Hit and run in a parking lot? That's how they got me. Or the other person doesn't have insurance and the amount isn't worth it to sue over but still significant. Can't get blood from a stone.

GM Losonti |

The other person's insurance has apparently decided that I was at fault, despite being motionless at the time. Cat also decided to be extra ornery all weekend. Sorry, folks, always seems like there's something!

Selann Juris |

Similar incident to me years ago. (1977) My car was broke down, driver's side lower ball joint broke and the car sitting on the frame on that corner. A car came speeding up directly behind while I was standing behind closing the trunk. I was wearing a bright red jacket. It swerved at the last minute, just clipping the rear corner. (Lucky for me) My car was a 15 year old Buick, not worth repairing what was just "cosmetic damage" so I figured it was over....
The driver's father sued me, stating that if my car hadn't been there the accident wouldn't have happened! My guess is that the driver didn't really explain the details to his father. It went to court. My insurance provided a lawyer for me. Took less than 30 minutes to end the case. The judge awarded $200 to me, and added court costs to the payment required from the father. That plus well over $1000 damages to his car and whatever else was gone to crap in his life, the father took his final nap in the car, running in a closed garage.

So, how are we handling things like intelligence reports? Greta will have thoughts on the army heading NE (which I'm pretty sure is not the direction we're supposed to be headed), but I don't want to just post if Caliban is planning to do his own post making the report (especially if he wants to control the flow of information or put his own spin on his findings).
I don't want to slow down our posting at all, but I also don't want to take away anyone's agency in sharing what they learn. Is everyone comfortable with us acting as if all intelligence is shared accurately and immediately, or should we wait for a report post before responding?

Caliban Tre'Athkar |

I've got a post incoming since yesterday, but Caliban wouldn't hold back details if you are going to be more timely on the post than I am!

Greta Gyllenhår |

Northeast toward is Vilareth Ford is indeed on the route suggested by Galfrey.
Lol, perfect. I thought we were headed more to the west. Are we going NE to Vilareth and then heading west from there, or do I just have the map all flipped around in my head?

GM Losonti |

You're sort of right! At the ford, you cross to the western side of the river and then continue north-northeast. There's a map of the region with the locations notated on slide 4 of the maps and handouts link.

GM Losonti |

I was having trouble designing this upcoming encounter for you guys, so I called in my old GM (who liked to throw mythic enemies at our decidedly non-mythic party) for some help. I think what we came up with should be pretty fun!

Benedic |

What an awesome idea! I bet that must have been a joy to plan out.

Dorian 'Grey' |

I am starting a new job today. After 4 months of recovery, I am excited and nervous...lol. My posting may slow until I get a steady schedule.
You're welcome...haha!

Fred Junior |

Hopefully I can cast those spells at most 50 minutes before the fighting starts.

Hey Junior, I went to high school with many of the original members of CAKE and opened for them a few times here in Sacramento. One of the members of my recording band engineered their first three albums, including the one that song comes from. And Greg Brown (their original guitarist and author of "The Distance") made a guest appearance on one of our songs.

Fred Junior |

That's cool. They're one of my wife's favorite bands so she introduced me to them. Actually 90% of my favorite music is via her. So all the songs with a few exceptions are just my playlist of her favorites.
So what's your band if I may ask? I am not musically inclined, I could see myself drumming except for my bum knee and right shoulder.

Benedic |

There are three of us, and we are called Volvo Maroon. Apart from a few concerts we've done in the local area over the last 30 years, we are solely a recording band, but we have been featured on Dr. Demento's radio show a few times. We released six albums over the years and have enough material saved up to release two more at some point here... we were supposed to get together over the 4th weekend to record, polish and finish a bunch more songs, but one member's mom got sick and we had to cancel, so we probably won't be able to do anything until next year.
We have a lot of our stuff up on Reverb Nation if you want to take a listen. Our earliest stuff available there was on our second album "Six Additional Inches" and it kind of has that same old-school sound that Cake made popular, I think. Back then we didn't have as many guitars and we made up for it with 100% more cello.

Fred Junior |

I'll take a listen when I get a chance. Thanks! And you are right we need to be adjacent or flanking for amplified rage, which means we have variable hp depending on where we stand, lol.
I forgot I also grant:
Quick Reflexes (Ex): While raging, the barbarian can make one additional attack of opportunity per round.

Greta Gyllenhår |

Sorry for the lack of post- crazy day at work. I’ll get one up in the morning.

Greta Gyllenhår |

Does anyone have any way to make me fly? I can start throwing javelins if that's my only play, but I'm not sure how long to wait before posting that. What about the levitate scale, could I burn a charge from that to go up and introduce him to my hammer?

Oh, gosh, I forgot about the Coup de Gras! Excuse me while I float up to the demon--up in the air where everyone in both armies can see it--and crush its head like a ripe melon.

Caliban Tre'Athkar |

GM Losonti |

Well, that'll teach me!
Just a heads up for everyone: I'm going to traveling from the 23rd through August 6th. A lot of that is going to be me very bored while I ride in a car, so I'll probably still get some posts in.

Caliban Tre'Athkar |

Ah don't sweat it! We're Mythic and I think I remember that takes some getting used to. Plus slaying demons is sort of our thing now :D

Greta Gyllenhår |

I don't want to expose our soft underbelly too much but, the slumber hex can be broken by the target taking damage (so if a BBEG has clever support minions they could throw stones at it or something to wake it up before we have time to coup de gras it).
Also, after what happened to our beloved city, a victory like that doesn't feel underwhelming (to me, at least), it feels like some quality payback!

GM Losonti |

For sure! I think I just forgot how easy it is for a single enemy (or essentially single enemy, after the troops got murked) encounter to go sideways, especially if the "boss" has a big glaring weakness like his Will saves, especially especially if I forgot about the party's multiple save or dies. :P
So I wasn't upset, I just felt bad and worried it was underwhelming. But getting to clown on bad guys is fun too.

From what I understand, it is the one-trick pony of Hexcrafters, like they are good at spells and spell combat, but Evil eye and save or 'suck' is a big part of the game. I really expected him to fall from the sky and wake up, since in my mind he had wings, but it would have changed the battlefield a bunch to ground him even for a second.
Also I think we're terrible at AOE so multiple targets would be...challenging...

Selann Juris |

Had he fallen and then woke up, he'd be surrounded by us and pounded to demon pulp.... before he got a chance to stand and draw AoO's.

It got unlucky for sure. And we all got to show off a little I think. There will be enemies that are going to be immune to slumber and then Caliban will have wasted an action.
You'll get us next time Losonti ;)
