Gideon nods to Alak "Shall we continue, also anybody want to take bets on why that door is open?"

"That makes sense." Davian flushes a bit. "I don't mean to question you so much Alak, I am just trying to learn." He follows the others through the room to the south where he notices the already open door.

"Nae bet, but I'd like to imagine some sweet grandma goblin preparin' a pie just for us." Ingraham jokes. "As ever if." He raises his club and shield and continues through the door to the south.

As the discussion goes on, Edjarha moves in, as does Davian, and a curious Alak. "I wonder who was last in here?"

At this moment, Davian notices several "occupants"of the cells standing up, drawing weapons. Most of them have weapons that are in very poor shape, though the one (pink) as a solid shield and a glowing scimitar.

Alak is/are up.

Soon, I will be setting up a "macro sheet" as created by Doug Henderson, which will help a lot! This will replace our other sheet.

"Davian! Move aside!" calls out Alak as he moves up, drawing his greatsword. "This isn't the best weapon against bones, but it is what I have!"

He strikes red, through the grates, to protect Davian. His blade, guided by the bars, cut right through its skull through the rest of its body.

Davian is thrust backwards as Alak grabs him. As he is thrown to the side Davian tosses a small wooden carving from his hand near Alak. His magic from the runes courses into the wood as it crystallizes and hovers in front of the man.

The skeleton that is coated in a sort of bluish mold or lichen moves up, and slashes at Alak with his scimitar. The blade clanks off the Armiger's armor, and he avoids being damaged for once!

Edjarha steps up beside Alak, dropping into a familiar stance and lashing out at the skeletal figure in front of him Stride, Dragon Stance, Flurry of Blows.

"I see you are practicing what is referred to back at Citadal Vraid as a 'flurry of misses', Edjarha!" jests Alak.

Aragelda moves into the room, but can't quite get into the action. She offers Alak a guidance spell, and Raises her Shield.

Pink then green move up after Aragelda casts her spell.

"No you don't, bony!" says Alak, as he swings at Pink as it moves by him. While his blade strikes cleanly, it is a little too cleanly, as he manages to slice right between two ribs. It is clear that this would have been devestating had there been flesh there.

Pink then slashes at Alak with its shiny blade, though Alak is partially protected by the cages.

Ingraham swings at the skeleton, but the prison cages deflect the blow.

Yellow steps out of its cage, and draws its bow. It fires once at Alak, but luckily for the armiger it misses.

Alak swings at the skeleton in front of him, and his blade cuts the skeletal guard in half!

Davian continues to marvel as the shattering gem flitters in front of Alak. Drawing upon the power a little more a spark leaps out from the gem into the skeletons.

Ingraham swipes his club at the pink foe twice and then raises his shield for a quick defense!

Hey, some possible solid hits :D

Ingraham strikes twice, his second blow crushes its skull as it falls to the ground, what remains of his mouth grinning. However, it was the last undead still standing, do the party is victorious!

While most of the weapons are in poor shape, they are serviceable, and there are plenty of arrows to be had. However, the skeleton with the odd pink mold on it had a particularly nice scimitar, which is inscribed with a potency rune!

There are also four lockers, which are all locked.

Ingraham lacks the knowledge to pick a footlocker or to identify magic from a sword. Unable to take advantage of any of the equipment, he just prepares to packmule whatever the group decides to take to town and sell.

Gideon having grown more comfortable with his companions pulls out his tools to see if he can peacefully get any of the lockers open.

Davian picks up the scimitar, slowly cleaning the rune with the sleeve of his shirt. "Wonder what this says."

Davian realizes that this is for sure a +1 scimitar!

Gideon opens the chest, and finds what appears to be a low-grade silver flail inside. Additionally, there is a vial filled with some kind of liquid, but if it was labeled, that has long ago disappeared

”You all mind if I drink this potion? The first one was actually rather pleasant, tasted like peppermint!”

"We should check what it is, first. I can at least check its aura."

Aragelda casts read aura.

Davian hands the scimitar over as he holds one of the most expensive items he has laid eyes on in his hands. "One of you can use the rune from here. It is very expensive." He explains what he believes it does.

Aragelda determines that the liquid in the vials is not magical!

"If ye all be fine with me takin' the rune, I'd very much like to give it a swing." Ingraham chimes in, excited about the prospect of a strong weapon.

Note that it takes magical crafting and time and money to transfer a rune

Ingraham notes that the scimitar is well balanced and very easy to swing.

Also note that there are three more lockers

Davian hands the scimitar over to Ingraham s that he can check out the remaining three lockers.

All three appear to be locked, much like the one Gideon opened.

Feel free to bot Gideon if he doesn’t open them soon, but remember there is a chance to break picks on a crit fail

With nobody else to help him Gideon continues to work on getting the lockers open.

Gideon manages to open the three trunks without breaking a single pick!

In side are, in total, are three more of those vials (likely an alchemical elixir), a low-grade silver light hammer, a low-grade silver mace, and a low-grade silver morningstar. Additionally, there are two talisman, a different non-magical elixir (possibly), and a scroll!

Davion easily recognizes the scroll as a first level scroll of magic missile.

Gideon nods "I still remember that time the curtains got stuck after my gaffer fainted on opening night. Made sure I could always unjam things myself after that."

Davian grabs ahold of the scroll and slides it into his belt. "This is interesting!" He reads through the page, not realizing that his magical runes are allowing him to. He almost unknowingly seems drawn to the magic.

He also grabs the small curled hand and places it around is neck, tucking it down into his shirt.

"Where did you learn to pick locks Gideon?"

Gideon comments, "A cat to help sneak, how interesting, not sure about this second one though."
