It's funny... arcane studies are certainly a primary interest to me but this place doesn't feel conducive to idle conversation about it. I don't even like keeping my spellbook out of my pack longer than I have to here...

It is impossible to tell if night passes, or part of a day in this isolated hell hole. But time certainly does pass. Rest is hard to come by, but enough. Eventually the team is ready to move on again.
The large double doors to the east swing open easily and silently. A short corridor opens into a much larger room.
This long gallery stretches from south to north, its finely marbled floor cracked with age and neglect and the paint on its vaulted ceiling is flaking in places. A series of niches in the western wall feature a handful of statues, most of them defaced or crumbled into pieces—making it impossible to tell whom these sculptures once commemorated. Instead of statues, piles of straw and cloth fill two of the northern alcoves. The two sets of doors that lead south provide the only exits.
The ceiling here is 30 feet high, and the mural on it once depicted the warlord striding through the streets of Absalom, a conquering hero with hundreds of citizens either looking on adoringly or cowering in fear.
At this point it would be nice to know what you are doing as you move into this room.

Qrik casts Mage Armor and Shield before they open the doors. He then follows Elo into the room looking for any more assailants in the room.

Could you also all give me an updated HP etc? You've done some healing over night, and slept. If you want ot heal and regain spells then that's either a *lot* of time, or not managed both....

Elo was at 15/34 before their overnight. IIRC overnight rest restores level-times-CONmodifer (minimum 1 on the modifier), so for Elo that is just 4, resutling in 19/34.

I thought we used treat wounds and Cev's healing spells to get us all to full health before going to sleep.
