There IS such a spell... I will ask Iomadae for such next time we rest, hindsight, is regrettably not as good as foresight.


Retcons ahoy!

Between Elo's compass; and Bwess' untrained, though uncanny direction finding (and a little help from the notes) you find your way out of town, and through the wilds.

Half a day's travelling, past landmarks mentioned, or drawn into the notes brings you to a sort of hinter land. A little while after stoping to eat something, and getting going again, you are approaching where you think the scar should be. Certainly within a mile or so, when a massive, gutteral yell errupts from near some trees.

Now would be a good time to roll initiative....

Once per turn, starting the turn after you cast bless, you can use a single action, which has the concentrate trait, to increase the emanation's radius by 5 feet. Bless can counteract bane.

If your weapon is already +1/striking, then I might need to ret-con that casting to val. I'm not sure that it stacks... but GM can say.


Yeah "becomes a" means it only works on something that isn't already striking. I'll get a proper post up tomorrow.

Neither orc manages to avoid the sudden lightning, but the second somehow manages to get the full brunt of it. The creature falls to the ground and you can smell charred flesh.

The captain shouts out, and then moves forward towards Val, the others move to attack too.

The Captain strikes out with a maul, while the others wield battle axes, but all their attacks come to naught. Some nearly best your armour, but none cause any actual damage.

Getting a little nervous that the bandits are closing in on them, Elo unleashes a battery of force missiles at the nearby thug.

Val strikes back at the commander getting one solid blow in, and one miss before raising his shield.

Qrik steps up, opens his mouth, and belches forth flames like a some miniature drgaon! The orc stands aghast, barely even trying to avoid the flames in shock.

Elo casts the most powerfull magic missile he can. Three bolts unerringly slam into the orc facing him. They damage it, for sure, but they don't take it down.

Then Bwess moves up to the one Qrik just hit, and slams into it with her whip. The strike smashes into it's eye, and channels magic straight into it's brain. It stands stock still for a moment, Then falls flat to the ground.

Bwessara takes a breath, gathering the dissipating magical energy to power a combat stance. She lightly steps closer to Elo and Val, attempting to keep them from getting flanked easily. Hoping that the orc attacking Elo isn't expecting an attack from her, she snakes her whip over the head of her kobold companion and attempts to strike the orc.

Qrik moves to the west and then breaths again south towards the two orcs. Instead of fire a swarm of dragonflies dragons, right :D flows out biting the two orcs.

Stride (West x4 squares) 1, Cast Vomit Swarm x2. I should hit both orcs due south of me and miss my allies.

Val attacks the Orc Commander, getting two solid blows in and taking the creature out of the game compleatly. Or, at least it should. The orcs eyes remain stubbornly open. It's snarl fierce. Not quite a crit, but second attack mean't it didn't need to be. 29HP of damage in a round aint bad!

Qrik Moves forward and vomits forth a swarm of dragon flies that swoop over the orc commander, and the orc fighting Elo. The commander, hit by this extra wave of damage goes down for good now. The second orc has chance to see the swam coming and holds his breath...

Elo Moves and throws his two bombs at the orc that was attacking him. They both hiot,a dn the orc goes down.

Bwes strikes out with another spell strike, but fails to hit the target this time.

The final orc is about to strike, when he notices the sound of battle die around him. He glances up, and around, then steps back, drops his weapon and raises his hands. In stilted Andorian, he says "Mercy. Please."

Combat over, well done!
