Zhera growls at the snake, and then Brunwulf as he fires arrows at her. "He better have not hit me! 'else I'd have to slap him silly. Now give me a second to wriggle out of this..."
First the Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Crit Success
Next the Escape! DC 14?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Then the Dragon Claws: 1d20 + 7 - 5 ⇒ (5) + 7 - 5 = 7
Damage, Slashing and poison: 1d4 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + (1) = 5
Finally the Shield spell. AC is 18 for this coming round.

The other snake moves up to Pepper, but rather than bite, it extends its spines. It slithers across the deck, scraping past Pepper, Arun, Brunwulf, and Meadow.
spines!: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6, DC 14 Reflex basic save
I just noticed this. Not sure when it could've scraped past me but, anyway, here's my save:
Ahh! Look out for them spikes!
Reflex:: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Edit: Oh. It must've slithered past when Pepper and I were on the left gangplank.

Sorry for the confusion about the confusion!
flat check for Arun: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Arun is not confused after the spine attack.
Meadow hits with her second arrow. Silence flies in to attack but has trouble connecting with the slippery snake.
Brunwulf hits with two arrows, the second one going straight into the creature's heart.
Arun tries to take advantage of the flank with the owl, but the snake is too slippery for him, too!
The serpent constricting Zhera is down after Brunwulf's turn. Zhera's attack is a miss, but I'll take the liberty of saying she moved next to the other serpent instead of the escape action.
Pepper moves in to flank with Zhera and just barely connects on his first attack! His second swing brings the creature down.
Well done! Out of combat!

Zhera washes her claws off in the ocean and then dismisses them. "Well that went okay. No one died, though three people either hit or nearly hit their companions, might need to work on that in the future."

Nearly hit? Well, I'll be sure to hit ya with a couple of my arrows next time, Zhera. HAHAHA! He bellows out a hearty laugh.
I jest, I jest, lass. No need to git your britches in a bundle.
Brunwulf sets his joking aside.
Anyway, yes. Everyone did a great job against those sea creatures. Now to get some much needed sleep on the voyage back home.

"Well that went okay. No one died, though three people either hit or nearly hit their companions, might need to work on that in the future."
"Well to be fair Ms Taniyia those naughty snakes were to blame.
She pulls a potion from a pouch on her belt, then glances at Brunwulf. "Well mostly anyway." She then drinks the potion.minor healing potion: 1d8 ⇒ 1
"And anyway near hits don't count. Everyone knows that." She turns toward the owl "Right Silence?"

Captain Vriggdahl stops Arun there. "Well done, Pathfinders. But if you've got what you came for, let's set sail as quickly as possible in case there are more of those serpents." The weather improves, and the journey home is uneventful.
Venture-Captain Torrsen is delighted by your return with Hlavard’s body and the gorget. “This will greatly please the Grenskuldrs. Thank you. I’ll make sure that you’re all on the list for a very special event coming up soon.” Torrsen says nothing more about what this special event might be, though he does open up a nearby cabinet and take down an armful of vials. He says, “Let’s just say these might come in handy,” and gives each of you a vial of lesser winter wolf elixir.

Brunwulf stumbles half asleep into the office, obviously a bit late. His companions have just begun being debriefed by captain Torrsen.
Pardon me. He says with a yawn and droopy eyes as he opens the door to the room. Nobody woke me upon our return. Was still asleep on the ship's bunk. I guess it was an uneventful eight day voyage back.
My thanks for this opportunity, Sir Torrsen. He shakes the half-orc's hand then turns to his companions.
Many thanks to all of you. That was quite an experience. I do hope to adventure with any of you again at any time.
Brunwulf gives bear hugs all around.
Well, then. I must be on my way. Take care, everyone. He says with a wink and a grin.

"Any fight you walk away from..." Arun's mouth twists in a wry grimace as he tries to play it off, but his eyes stay sharp with frustration.
"Don't worry about it Arun. Those snakes were pretty tricky."

Pepper is suitably apologetic for stabbing Brunwulf, refusing to leave the man’s side during the voyage back and insisting on keeping him well fed “to speed recovery”.
Since he was confused, his first attacks would have gone to Brunwulf. Thankfully, only one hit. Thankful it didn’t get worse.
”Anybody need a snack for the road?” The halfling opens his pack, revealing packs of dried sea serpent meat. ”That wonderful lady with the smoked salmon said she could do something with these beasties, and it’s not bad if you need something a bit zingier than dried halibut.”
