Shokil's scan of the chamber pays dividends for the mission, though it still leaves the party with an anticlimactic feeling. Shokil confirms that the pillar in the center is a sensor node with massive energy usage and output. You further learn that the information gathered by the equipment in the room is being sent somewhere else, but exactly where remains unknown. Continued scanning reveals that penetrating the security features and understanding the nature of the high-tech equipment in the room likely requires several months of dedicated effort from Starfinder technicians.
Merisiel snaps pictures for the report. Everyone looks at each other... and agrees that there's little left to do.
I don't know that I've ever had an SFS session with NO combat, but you passed all the diplomacy DCs to avoid having to fight any of the three factions. This was certainly a weird one. But you guys are successful! Weird as it's been I hope it was at least a bit enjoyable. We can wrap up shortly.
Venari Hitoru |
"Well... that was... something." Venari says lamely as they take their snaps and leave the Temple. The whole affair left a bad taste in their mouths and gave them a drive to see Salvation's End explored more - there was a mystery here and they desired to find out.

Hah! I really enjoyed this one, gave us all a good chance to RP our characters a bit. This is the first time I've played Shokil, he's been a GM credit baby. And I've found out a lot about him. The whole author as a day job gimick was a one second throw-away decision at character creation time that turned out to be a lot of fun. Who knew he was so into his food. Well, he is a halfing.

Full fame xp and credits yes. Satisfactory outcome no. !0 points infamy for creators of salvations end. DEFINITELY. Also what Shokil said DEFINITELY
I have a bad feeling about seeing the Muckfurs again. Not sure this lot want to hear this but I think that drow knew all along it was something like this
"Garçon" |
Garcon considers all that he learned to date and looks really upset. "So... this was the 9th time that this happened? Does that mean... that their memories were wiped again? And now they don't like each other again? But the Muckfurs seemed so nice! And the Gnolls could have given me new ingredients for cocktails... and the Unicorn... a real Unicorn! We gotta do it again! We gotta do Duskmire Accord 10 and get them all out for reals this time. We said we'd help them breathe the mountain air... But... but..."
He looks over all of the equipment in the 'temple' and the data before shaking his head. "...but I think we're gonna need some help to turn all of this stuff off."
He fiddles around in his tray for a bit as Shokil continues to document everything. He sees the upset look in Venari's eyes hands him a drink. "You look like you could use a drink... and today the bartender is gonna join you." He takes one himself before getting back to work. "One round coming up for the rest of you too. Not gonna leave anyone out." Spending 1 RP and 10 minutes to 'rest' and regain his biohacks. Finally he hands a few shot glasses out to the rest of his friends. They are all basic boosters, +2 to skills
I really enjoyed the scenario and am always happy when there is at least the slightest chance of getting out with no combat. I think I gotta run this for my home group now...
Catsial Drun |
Catsial looks at the temple with mixed feelings
"That was not something that I expected. And I am not sure how accurate are your assumptions." Catsial is basically a professional lier and as such he is not sure how many things that happened in the temple were real.
I very much enjoyed this scenario, I still hope that we were able to save all of the inhabitants. I actually enjoy it when the game allows for other resolution to a fight your way through the foes.
Venari Hitoru |
"Cheers Garcon, I'll drink to that!" Venari smiles but their usual cheer isn't in it, sharing a drink with their crew.
I too really enjoyed the Scenario and the group dynamic immensely - something different, just hope they follow this particular thread in a latter scenario as it feels a hollow victory ^^

The Muckfurs welcome you with open arms! From their point of view, nothing has changed at all. They invite you to a meal to celebrate, and there is a fair amount more mud jumping.
After some time your communicators spring to life. "Your scans have come through team. It appears communications are back up. Once you're done there, come on back."
The scanning of the interior is actually the completion of the scenario! I'll report it today, and will have chronicles within 24 hours. Thank you guys!

REPORTED! Chronicles are HERE. Thanks for playing everyone. My bandwidth is going to shrink for a bit, but I'll be offerings something soon.
Ohmarc Lightwalker |
Ohmarc greets the Muckfurs with open arms and celebrates their meal together before departing.
"Enjoy your mud jumping. I will send word back to my society and see if we can find a way to get you back to your mountains. In the meantime, stay clear of the Ghost and be good to each other. Try not to get too much mud on your fur."
Turning to his companions, Ohmarc remarks, "I am most honored to have spent this time with all of you. You are fine adventurers and I hope our paths will cross again. Until then, be well and travel safely."
Shokil |
Shokil offers a short bow.
"Likewise... and if you pick up my next novel.. be sure that absolutely none of the characters are based on any of you!"
Thanks for playing everyone, and thanks for GMing GMS

Catsial sighs with relief when Yetis turned out to be feeling well. All in all they were able to save them all.
He bows to the tribe and to his fellow agents
"I am glad that we all will be leaving this place in one piece. I hope to meet you all on the next mission."
Awesome work guys. It was a pleasure reading your posts. Great RP. Amazing job @GM - thanks for a smooth and enjoyable game!
