I need player name, character name and number, faction, boons (though you have time to slot these) downtime/day job, chronicle number, purchases and sales.

Character Name: Hermena - Soldier (sharpshooter) 2
Character Number: 142160-702

Downtime/Day Job: Profession (surveyor): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
NOTE: This is not a typical Day Job check; it is going towards checking off one box on the Rebuilding Nakondis slotless boon from my AP #7 chronicle sheet (unfortunately without success, so the downtime is spent without any reward). Please let me know if you have any questions.
Purchases/Sales: None expected unless mission briefing suggests otherwise.

A note to all my players. I'm currently on my vacation week, playing stay home. But I work the grocery store and I go back Sunday, so I'm at risk for the Covid-19. With law enforcement in big city areas catching the virus, and the sale of weapons up at Walmart and other areas, my job is really scary. I don't live in a hotspot, however if I'm unable to post for a day or two, it is because I got overtime hours, and maybe check to see if I'm active in other games, I may have just forgot to update. If I have remained inactive for four or more days, you can assume I got the virus, or went to prison for misuse of pepper spray while trying to defend myself. Only if the attacker has a weapon, would I pull that out, otherwise I just run, but I still don't trust the court justice systems 100%. There hasn't been any fights in my store that I'm aware of.
If I'm gone, find a replacement DM.

Hope things cool down at work soon, DoubleGold. I can’t imagine how hard it must be for folks in the retail front lines in this crisis.

DoubleGold |

So my playdis con game just finished yesterday, so if its not too much trouble i will go back to my original plan of having Captain Marbles in this game instead of the hastily thrown together Toringaz.
It's fine either way, I'll figure out the tier when I start.

![]() |

Player Name: Casper
Character Name: Captain Marbles (Experimental Weapon Mechanic 2)
Character Number: 2360163 - 701
Chronicle Number: 4
Faction: Exo-Guardians
Downtime/Day Job: Junk Racer: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
Boons: Yaraesa’s Wisdom (Social; Limited-Use)

DoubleGold |

Returned to work today. Shelves are well stocked. People are sending each other. Leaving all their family members at home while one does the shopping. Most of the crazies (crazy isn't well defined) paranoids, anxious, preconditioned health condition are probably at home. Less customers with larger orders.
50 new recruits while I was on vacation last week.

DoubleGold |

Just worked a night shift yesterday and a morning one today, will get this game started soon.

![]() |

Something's come up IRL, and I won't have the time to keep up with this game. I need to drop out. I apologize for the trouble and wasting everyone's time. Dropping a game isn't something I take lightly.
Thanks for understanding.
I look forward to playing with all of you again in the future.

DoubleGold |

It's okay Zez'ka. With everything going on, everyone's lives have been turned upsidedown. Hope everything is okay.

![]() |

No problem Zez'ka. RL happens and this is just a game. We understand. Take care!

DoubleGold |

On 50 hours this week, will get back to you soon. They closed all the liquir stores in PA, so Ohio has been more busy with liquor. Walmart closed down all but their grocery section and are limiting people in stores, so if you live in Ohio, buy your shavers and soap at Kroger. No really buy shavers, beards can get germy if you don't wash them. If you are a guy and your normally shave, continuing shaving, so make sure you have enough shavers till may, don't grow a beard because of Corona, one less thing to wash. Will get back to this game shortly.

DoubleGold |

Just take care of yourself. We need out GM :D
Oh right, gotta update the character and player list. You dropping too?

![]() |

Mute is fantastic at stealth, decent at computers and not very good with diplomacy. Of course he'll want to go to the party but he'll need a diplomancer to help. Of course he'll want to go to the food tent but his fort is low.
I vote for the party first then visit Felzun. Anywhere after.
Thoughts?

DoubleGold |

Oh, just to be clear, the time is an individual roll. There is no danger, so you can split the party here. So if Reticent spends 3 hours on the first task, doesn't mean Gammer does.

![]() |

So if we split the party, we just have to make sure that every task is covered between all of us. I don't think we cover all of the necessary skillsets. Are we all making separate skill rolls or are we going to be there as a group and can assist each other.
.
.
For Gammer:
Event #1: Don't have Life Science, little Diplomacy but very good Computers.
Event #2: Don't have Profession-Cook, little Diplomacy and very little Fort.
Event #3: Don't have Physical Science and little Diplomacy.
Event #4: Has good Perception, Stealth & Computers.
Gammer & Reticent could probably start with #4 then help with #1. If they have any time left then assist with any Diplomacy at #3 then #2.
The others wait to start with Event #3 then #2. Dr. Kliktikiti can start at #1 then go to #3. Hermena being a soldier can probably just do #2. Not sure what Captain Marbles can do but being a Ysoki Mechanic can probably help with Perception & Computers.
My vote is for this:
Event #4 - Gammer, Reticent & Captain Marbles
Event #1 - Dr. Kliktikiti, (Gammer, Reticent & Captain Marbles if any continue)
Event #3 - (Dr. Kilktikiti, Gammer, Reticent & Captain Marbles if any continue)
Event #2 - Hermena (Dr. Kilktikiti, Gammer, Reticent & Captain Marbles if any continue)
Not trying to leave anyone out but based off our skillset this is probably the best solution. Of course it all depends on the dice roller. Lol!
Thoughts from everyone else?

DoubleGold |

People can assist, but time is still rolled separately. The DCs are in the spoilers, so you'll know if you pass or not.
Scenario doesn't say if you can attempt the same event twice or not if you fail, but just add an hour for each additional attempt, since it would make sense to do so. Like if you roll a 2 on the d4, but miss the dc by a lot because you rolled a 1, you can try again having spent three hours instead of 2, cause you know you can do the task with a 7.

![]() |

Sorry, I posted before seeing your post.
I did exactly what you proposed anyway.
I didn’t thought it was possible to spend more time, so I had my character move on.

![]() |

I'm crap at diplo though. If us 3 take on Falzun, I think you 2 should tag team the guy and I'll pull secret agent.
Who wants to roll time?

![]() |

So it sounds like it doesn't really matter if we cooperate on this or not. We just make our rolls for time separately then make the necessary skill checks.

DoubleGold |

Hopefully nothing happened to Marbles. Anyway, if anyone has access to his character sheet or knows the numbers he rolled cause you played with him in a previous game, you can go ahead and bot him.

![]() |

Looks like he has a link to his character sheet where he posted his name, character number, faction, etc. above in this thread.

![]() |

Just to confirm, THIS it is the bow we are using just with the archaic property, correct?

![]() |

Wow, apologies again.
I have 3 or 4 PBPs running and had selected Rayraj at one point but he is not part of this game.
That is weird that he's still listed here though there was only once I had the issue.

DoubleGold |

That will be Gammers crit then, cause even with exhaustion, that 20 is still a crit, therefore I can move forward sometime tommorrow.

GM Hmm |

Hey everyone, I am going to be coming in at DoubleGold's request as a guest Formian Queen -- er -- GM on this Sunday to do the grand ceremony of the Meeting of the Queens. See you on Sunday!
Hmm

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Sorry for my super delayed ability to respond. My work started back up Monday and after not being open since mid March there’s been a lot of backlog and it’s just been crazy.

GM Hmm |

We all understand. Welcome back!
GM Doublegold, it is your show once again!
Everyone, you should be proud on how well you've done so far. Because you were swift on the journey, you were seated in the front row, which helped you get to Felzhen quickly. Had you been late, you all would have had to wade through the angry crowd to get to him!
Thank you all for letting me come in and GM this section. It was a pleasure!

GM Hmm |

There were lots of different things that could have happened, especially if Felzhen managed to run far, or you got into a fight with the crowd. There was a security guard that was resistant to the psychic blast that will for all the right reasons get in your way and make it easier for Felzhen to run, depending on how much of a lead Felzhen got on you. While the story of what happened here was fairly simple from your end, there were some moving parts in the background that made it a little more complex.
Even more important here, I think this one needed a moment to let you soak in the beauty and customs of the setting before we threw you in the formian cuisinart. Which wasn't mechanical, but still an important roleplay element that I think the scenario needed as a balance point, so I went into a deeper dive in the leadup to this scene than the scenario had box text for.
Some scenarios are like that -- more complicated to run than play. I think the most extreme example of that was the PF1 scenario Cosmic Captive, that was simple from the player side of running from encounter to encounter, and was an ever warping and changing set of conditions from the GM side.

![]() |

I had to run some of those myself, the most recent was Revolution on the Riverside.
It’s been a while that I haven’t run a game thought, due to the current pandemic.

DoubleGold |

At GM HMM, well run.
To all players, I'll give you another day to roleplay and then I move onto the next scene, or make a post to roleplay back with whatever NPCs you talk to or with each other. Also, since all my other games ended, I deleted some slides, so Starship combat is slide 5 now. All slides pertain to this game, except for one slide that belongs to an AP.

![]() |

Thanks for the extra effort in detailing the leadup scene, GM Hmm. Now you have me curious as to what was in the box text.
Thanks for stepping in to run that part of the scenario!

![]() |

Thanks for the assist, Hmm! I appreciate you pulling back the curtain on how the mechanics work as well.

![]() |

What ship are we using for starship combat? And did we decide what rolls we are each playing?
Hermena has Piloting +8 and is best suited for Pilot or Gunner. I’m leaning toward Drake for this scenario.
