"...for my dog, see- OH NO THAT'S NOT A DOG IT'S A WOLF EVERYONE RUN FROM SPOT BEFORE HE-" The philosopher's words are cut off as he thrashes in his half-awake state, tangling himself in his blankets before falling off the bed into an ungraceful heap on the floor - along with several cloves of garlic.

Wymarc sounds the alarm. ”Wake up, Joe, something’s afoot!”
He bangs loudly on the inner walls to warn the others...he’ll put his back to the SW corner of the room, draw his bow, and keep an eye on both the window and the door...
Still in her Roderus cosplay outfit, Lauranna bangs back irritably.
Depending upon how late it is she may have fallen asleep on her very tall bed.

Perception to hear sound of loud knocking through a wall while asleep, DC15-ish?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
At the sound of someone banging on the other side of the wall, not too far from his head, Santiago rolls over in bed, sitting up.
(Anticpating a possible threat, he was sleeping in his mithral chain shirt (light armor).

About the same time that Wymarc starts banging the pots and pans (or on the wall or whatever), anyone that's awake in any of the three rooms observes a solitary figure drop down from the building's roof to hang in front of your window. The one in front of Wymarc and Joe's window shrieks as an arrow from the elf's bow shatters the glass, making a LOT of noise. If anyone was still asleep before, they sure aren't now!
Taking an educated guess that Wymarc would probably fire on someone/something suddenly appearing in front of the window but if not, I'll guess that he'll at least pointedly point the thing their way, so the overall result is still the same!
"Aiieee! Don't shoot! We here to help!" the figure yelps, holding up one hand, the other gripping what must be the rope they used to rappel down from the rooftop. "Big men with big knives come for you! Kill you!"
Over at Lauranna's window and at Santiago/Lucky/Silver/Roderus' window, the figures hanging outside the windows frantically tap on the glass.
"He right! Wake up! They coming for you!"
It's hard for most of you to tell, what with the dim light and all, but they sound like goblins...

Lucky jumps up with a start. "As expected - trouble is here." He pulls a wand and activates it, creating a translucent shield of force in front of him. Taking a step towards the door, he looks back at the windows.
"Goblins! Wait, they're not attacking. Is he - is he waving at us?" Friendly goblins is still weird.
Like Santiago, Lucky sleeps in a mithril shirt.

Santiago gets out of bed and moves to the window, reaching for the latch. "Friend of Zig?" he asks. [b]"Let's get you inside, before you wake the dead.

Lauranna mutters something unintelligible. She reaches out with one hand to spacer where ordinarily one might find a lamp and prays for light to shine from her fingertips.
She gets up with the remnants of her costume still on, aiming herself toward the door.

Wymarc nods and, thinking the the goblins are friends of Zig and the clerk, readies to fire if big men come through the door...

At the declaration that big guys with big knives are coming the group begins to spring into action - some more quickly than others. Lucky and Santiago, who always sleep armored, pop up more or less ready to rumble; Lucky draws a shielding wand and activates it on himself and heads for the door while Santiago moves towards the window to let the friendly(?) goblin inside.
But said goblin quickly shakes his head. "No no, we not fighters! But we still help," he hisses as he raises a light crossbow - loaded and ready to fire.
Silver is also quick to get moving, readying their gun...but also giving the goblin some side-eye. It all seems a little too convenient, after all. Noticing the gunslinger's stare, the goblin offers a nervous smile full of pointy teeth in return.
"We explain soon, you see!"
Meanwhile, Lauranna hauls herself out of bed with an unintelligible mutter and sheds some light on the subject before heading towards the door. Wymarc positions himself to where he has a clear view of the door to his and Joe's room. His bow is at the ready, just itching to teach a lesson to the first fool to try kicking it down...

Joe scrambles hastily to his feet, accidentally stepping on one of the fallen cloves and releasing more garlic fragrance into the room. "Wait, who's that? What's there? Are you here to put plants by our beds to whisper to us in our sleep and you don't want the assassins from Thuvia's shadow government to get to us first!?" Eyes wide, the philosopher hastily crams his glasses onto his face and tries to look at both the door and window at the same time.
Move action to stand, 5 ft step to the wall, and standard to ready to cast daze (Will 14) if a hostile creature approaches the room through either the door or the window (he's got the range to tag someone outside either entrance).

"What? No, we not florists!" the goblin hanging outside Joe and Wymarc's window responds, looking rather confused. "We friends! Here to help!"
The trio of dangling dingle-goblins continue to cling to their ropes, crossbows in their free hands as they intently watch the doors to your rooms. So far though, nothing has happened...yet.

Lauranna take the long walk to her door. She opens it about to complain about the big nosed goblin outside her window but being half asleep says "Hey, does anyone else have a nose goblin hanging out their window? Is this how they do wake up calls in Katapesh?" Blearily she looks around the hall. "Hello!?"

Though the lot of you are still somewhat uncertain as to what's happening, it certainly can't be good. Lucky is quick to light up his shared room with a sunrod while Joe, Wymarc, and Silver ready their weapons and wait.
Santiago and Lauranna each head to their respective doors and peer out into the hallway. Both of them can see the light spilling out from each other's doors but the hallway itself is largely dark and seems to be empty.
But then the two of them hear the sound of footsteps, multiple pairs, rapidly approaching! Three individuals come spilling into the hallway from the western door, daggers and shortswords in their hands. They seem quite surprised to see two of three doors cracked open and at least one person - Lauranna - standing there and looking around blearily.
"What the-I thought the boss said they'd be asleep!" Red grouses aloud.
"So did I but it don't matter - we still got a job to do," Green is quick to reply. "Get 'em!"
He then pulls a vial out of his pack and chugs it down, vanishing from sight!
Meanwhile, the three goblins continue to aim their crossbows towards their respective doors...though the one hanging outside of Lauranna's room finds himself consumed by a giggling fit.
"Heeheheheeee....nosegoblins...*snerk*...it's funny 'cause it's a booger joke! Hahaha...boogers..."
From his position at the door, Santiago's eyes narrow and he tightens his grip on his sword as he waits for these fools to come to him...

Wymarc, I'm going to guess that you'll also maintain your readied action but please let me know if that isn't the case!
Silver, loaded for bear, decides to take the fight to the bad guys and dashes out into the hallway, pulling out a longsword as she goes!
"Hah! This makes things that much easier," Red chortles as Silver gets up into his grill. He grips his shortsword tightly and takes a swing at the gunslinger...

Lauranna says a quick prayer to Chaldira to protect her from the hanging nose goblin and the thugs in the corridor and jumps into the corridor brandishing her heavy maul over her head in her nightshirt and retired Venture-Captain disguise.
"Hey, you guys! Now I don't wanna kill you and you don't wanna be dead, so git!"
Casts sanctuary(Will DC 15) on herself.

Lauranna Roderus quickly casts a protective spell over herhimself and leaps out into the hallway, huge maul at the ready, and hollers at the interlopers to go on an' GIT. The two thugs tangling with Silver gawp; they clearly weren't expecting this.
"Hey whoa, what the heck!? No one said anything 'bout the head honchos being up here too!" Orange yells.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Though neither Silver nor LaurannaRoderus can quite pinpoint where they are, the sound of footsteps can be heard and then....

Joe continues cowering wisely waiting for the fight to come to him, knowing full well just how fragile and out of his depth he is.
Continue to ready action. He certainly does not want to be the one to open a door and get a sword in the face for his troubles, and he has no idea what's going on in the hallway.

Totally underrated spell.
Faux-Roderus shakes his head in abject disappointment at his would-be assassin. "Perhaps it's time to reconsider your life choices. Say, your name isn't Homer by any chance?"
On a side note, what a time for Lauranna to be dressed in drag, and be caught wearing brown-face like Justin Trudeau.

Tired of waiting and now hearing the sounds of a fight, Wymarc rushes to the door and warily opens it...

Uncertain of what's happening out in the hallway Joe continues to hold his ground while Wymarc finally goes and cracks their door open to take a peek. There's not a lot of light out in the hallway but there's enough that he can see what look to be three thugs tangling with Silver and VC Roderus down at the far end! He can also see Lucky out in the hallway, a staff sling in his hands.
SantiagoBot throws an uneasy glance over his shoulder at the still-sleeping Roderus but he can't let his companions fight alone. He moves out into the hallway towards the fighting, drawing out and loading his sling as he does - and doing a double-take when he realizes that Silver appears to fighting alongside a second Roderus.
"Dammit, we gotta put a couple of 'em down before we get overrun," Red groans as more of the group begins spilling out into the hallway. He takes a step back from Silver, reaching for something in one of his pockets. The goon produces a small vial and drinks the whole thing down...
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
...and the wounds given to him by Silver mend up and close completely. Orange steps forward into the space vacated by his buddy and tries taking a swing at the gunslinger...
Orange vs. Silver (Shortsword; Flanking): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

'Roderus' does his very best Grumpy-Old-Man-Woken-Before-the-Buttcrack-of-Dawn shtick, continuing to scold the goons and everyone else before praying to the heavens that he'll be able to refrain from whoopin' some butts before the night is over.
Green, to his surprise, feels strangely compelled to avoid trying to attack the old man again and instead whips around to try his luck against Silver, instead...

...and comes within a hair of taking the young woman's ear off!

Feeling a little more confident now that most of his companions are out in the hallway - from the sounds of it, anyway - Joe carefully makes his way out of his room to join them. He sees Lucky and Santiago standing a short distance away with ranged weaponry drawn and then what looks like Silver and VC Roderus tangling with three figures at the far end of the hallway.
Are they werewolves? It's hard to tell even with the light that illuminates the corridor but anything is possible, right?

The rest of the group begins to join the fray; Wymarc plants two arrows right in the middle of Green's back while Silver leaves another small wound with her longsword. Realizing that he'll have to get up close and personal Lucky charges forward at Green as well, but the goon is able to duck the blow aimed for his head.
From further back, SantiagoBot takes aim at Green with his sling...
Sling vs. Green (Into Melee): 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 6 - 4 = 22
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Crit!?: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 6 - 4 = 5
...and actually manages to crack him in the head with a sling bullet! Still, Santiago knows he's no archer; he stows his sling in preparation of drawing his own blade.
Not knowing when to quit, Red steps forward and both he and his buddy Orange continue their assault on Silver...

"Lucky! Am I glad that you're here! There's this little goblin hanging out in front of my window could you bat him off the windowsill with your stave?" the Venture-Captain says in a higher than normal pitched voice while dragging a heavy bludgeon about the melee now with more ease.

Happy to have some backup, 'Roderus' casts a blessing spell to bolster the combat prowess of 'himself' and those around him. He also casually inquires if Lucky does pest control, because the inn apparently has a heck of a goblin problem!
Though injured, Green doesn't seem quite willing to give up his position just yet. He continues to swing at Silver...
Green vs. Silver (Shortsword; Flank): 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 2 = 27
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Joe continues to creep forward, one hand in constant contact with the wall beside him. "Gotta stay sharp, can't let your guard down or they'll send in their little chihuahua-gnome werewolves to bite your ankles off," he mutters before looking up in alarm at the armed attackers. "Well I won't let you catch me by surprise!" he bellows, instinctively pushing away at the closest hostile mind.
Casting daze (Will 14) on Green. If he's already down from Wymarc's arrows, then double move since no other opponents are within range.
