Shayna's AoO hits.
Hskoro's AoO misses.
Fifi's AoO hits, but nothing goes through.
Fifi aids.
Taarlik's AoO misses.
Taarlik's attack hits ;) for a solid chunk of damage.
Gru'Gar's AoO misses.
Shayna crits! And Red goes down!
Right before Red falls apart, it seems to have been stunned by the critical hit. This is an official weakness, so just crit a lot and you'll be fine.
Round 3. Gru'Gar and Hskoro, you made AoOs but you still have your regular turns.

Hskoro Tailfeather |
With one of the constructs down, Hskoro turns on the other one. Not seeming to do any damage so far to them, he figures he can at least try to draw it's attack away from his companions.
Warhammer: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Sindelle Lifewater |
At the start of Sindelle's turn, her life link activates once again. Gru'Gar and Fifi each heal 5 damage and Sindelle takes 10 damage.
Even as it's obvious that she is wounded, the aasimar woman flicks the tip of her tongue past her lips in a devious smile.
"עם דניצקה נעלם אני מניח שאין מי שישמע אותי מתענג איך העוקץ מרגש אותי!"
She casts cure moderate wounds on herself.

GM Watery Soup |
Gru'Gar strikes, but he doesn't do damage.
Taarlik crits! See? Just crit it a lot.

The robot's spear drops to the ground as the robot is stunned for a round.

Fifi Vanaash |
Fifi is glad the first construct goes down, but she sticks true to her plan and starts reading the scroll in her hand-"Blood of the martyr, sacrificed for a just cause. Water most holy, gifted by the priest. And fire unrelenting, filled with love and zeal."-as she throws the scroll on her hair, burning it to ashes.
CL check DC 10: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
With a quick movement, she pulls out from her own hair a scimitar made entirely out of fire, which she points at the last construct.
(Standard action to cast Scroll of Flame Blade and move one square right. If the robot falls down, I think the spell will last up to the next encounter hopefully.)
Hskoro Tailfeather |
Hskoro swings at the construct again, showing a little frustration that he is not doing any damage at all. "Bah... you walking pile of excrement. I'll do some damage to you before you go down."
Warhammer: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
GM Watery Soup |
Hskoro and Shaybmna both hit, although only Shayna does damage.
Round 4/5! Pathfinders. I'm letting Gru'Gar and Taarlik go again because the robot will be flatfooted until Taarlik's turn so we won't have to mix ACs.

Sindelle Lifewater |
On Sindelle's turn, her life link activates again but this time only for Fifi who heals 5 damage as Sindelle takes 5.
Seeing the others having a better grasp on things now, she draws a more minor curative wand for herself so as better to keep her team going.
Wand of cure light wounds plus fey foundling: 1d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 2 = 6

Where to? See Slide 2. North / red, east / yellow, or green / south?
And settle healing amongst yourselves.
Taariik |
Taariik breathes heavily.
“This was a tough battle! I do not know what else awaits us here but I think we asked not enough questions when we entered this building! Maybe we should ask the elf what he is hiding from us because these monsters were made with magic that I have never seen before!“ Taariik says a little agitated.
He looks at the others with respect.
Then he returns to the front door. He asks Nigel quite bluntly.
“Sir, we met only minutes ago and nonetheless some of my companions and I almost died to support you! What are the things that are roaming this building! Who else is in here that could help us to find out what is going on?!“
Hskoro Tailfeather |
Hskoro moves to northern (red) door and listens for anything beyond. "Those were annoying constructs indeed."
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Shayna Therinor |
Don't be too polite when asking him. I think he knows something he doesn't want others to know about. Shayna says, examining the edge on her blade. She touches it up with a whetstone and then looks around.
perc: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Might be time to invest in a new blade....
Fifi Vanaash |
Fifi looks around at the injuries sustained by the group, and asks-"Best we carry on before those who've heard us escape through a window. Let's wait for Taariik and make haste south."-she says as she checks the door is unlocked, getting ready to kick it open once Taariik comes back.
Sindelle Lifewater |
Sindelle will exhale a bit and use her lighter wand on herself, Fifi, and Gru'Gar so none are injured before we move on.
Fifi 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Gru'Gar 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Sindelle 1d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 2 = 11

Sindelle: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Taarlik: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Gru'Gar |
Looking at the ground.
"Look at these marks here. It looks like someone walked from gallery to the sarcophagus and then dragged something heavy out of the sarcophagus to the grand exhibit (yellow square). Lets take a look in the grand exhibit, shall we." Gru'Gar says as he stands up and heads for the grand exhibit (Yellow Square).
Hskoro Tailfeather |
"Right. Lets check it out. I hope they are raising a mummy though. That could be a tough fight." Heads toward the Grand Exhibit.
GM Watery Soup |
This enormous gallery stretches beneath a high arched ceiling. A grand staircase rises to the east and a pair of mahogany doors stand to the west carved in a relief of one of Absalom’s countless sieges. At the room’s center, a gleaming collection of glass and metal—like some sort of abstract bird—rises upon a single steel support toward the ceiling. A number of glass cases lining the walls have been shattered, scattering strange devices and clockwork limbs amid the broken glass.
Seven bodies litter the floor; four in black robes and three dressed in respectable local fashions. A smoky haze still fills the air.
People tracking the scuff marks should make a Survival check.
A voice cries out. “You get the hell out of here, you freak!”
Perception check to locate the voice.
GM Watery Soup |
That does NOT make the Perception check! However, on re-reading, I'm not sure the Perception check was needed to know where the sound was coming from - only to spot the person who said it.
Shayna narrows down the location. It sounds like it's coming from the metal bird.
It's 20 feet of climbing up a smooth pole to reach the bird. You can also negotiate ... or try to knock the metal bird down.
Hskoro Tailfeather |
Looking up at the metal bird, "You metal bird. Did you do this?" Points at the scattered bodies.
GM Watery Soup |
The metal bird is not sentient. It has a beak, two wings, and a place near its head where a medium humanoid or two might sit inside.
Gru'Gar |
Survival: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
"What kind of machine is that thing?"
Gru'Gar says as the feeling of being the little mouse with a hawk flying over head.
GM Watery Soup |
None of you have seen it before. The important thing is that it can hold people inside.
Fifi Vanaash |
Fifi whispers to the group-"I don't think they're talking to us..."-she says as she approaches the bird and looks at the pole.
Knowing full well her climbing abilities are not up to the task, and also remembering even if they did, she might be too embarrassed to do so in a skirt. Instead, she yells at the top of her lungs-"Helloooo!? Anyone in the metal bird!? We come here in peace!!!"
GM Watery Soup |
That sounds like Diplomacy. You can make a Diplomacy check if you want. Bluff (to pretend you're friendly) and Intimidate are also on the table. I highly recommend that you guys coordinate a strategy, as the DC is pretty high.
"Peace? Ha! You can't fool me! I watched you kill everyone else!"
Hskoro Tailfeather |
The only good social skill I have is Intimidate at +7. But it looks like we will need a lot of aid rolls to succeed. So Bluff or Diplomacy might be a better bet.
Fifi Vanaash |
Fifi smiles and gestures towards the rest of the group-"Apologies for the confusion, but we just arrived here. It seems the target of your ire might be someone else."-trying to lay out an introduction as she motions for Sindelle to speak for their good faith.
Diplomacy to Aid Sindelle: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
(+2 to Sindelle's Diplomacy! Let's all join in!)
Hskoro Tailfeather |
"My companions are correct. We have not killed anyone yet, those constructs don't count."
Diplomacy Aid: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Gru'Gar |
"Everyone else? We stopped the machine men from attacking us. Are you also a machine man? We will not harm you as long as you don't try to harm us. Deal?"
Diplomacy[/dice: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Sorry no help
Hskoro Tailfeather |
Will give my aid to Sindelle, like Fifi.
Taariik |
Taarik tries to look friendly.
”We are here to help!“
diplomacy aid sindelle : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Sindelle Lifewater |
sorry for the delay in posting. weekends usually bad + this one was rougher than most.
Sindelle will call up using her sweetest voice. "We just got here dear and defended ourselves against two metal beings only. All others we have encountered we have rendered aid to. I am a priestess and a healer. I have nothing to hide from you." She'll take a step out revealing her distinct lack of weaponry, holding her arms out a bit in a peaceful gesture. "Why don't you come out and talk to us. We don't bite...well, unless you want us to, that is." That last bit with a delicious little wink at whoever is looking down at them from inside the contraption.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (17) + 16 = 33
not including any bonuses from aids
GM Watery Soup |
A Numerian woman, who introduces herself as Gerva, offers insight into the night’s events. She describes how the Technic League came to the museum to recover their stolen property, when a fight broke out and one of the museum staff damaged a hazard crate and released some kind of alien aberration in the form of a silvery goo.
Gerva admits she had no idea what was in the crate, but does know that the Technic League stores dangerous technology within them. Running electricity through the crate’s coiled wires somehow weakens or even shuts down robots and technology inside. She also knows that most robots are vulnerable to electricity, and suspects the silvery goo is as well.
Though she can’t identify any of the museum staff by name, Gerva recalls the lad who broke open the crate seized by the cyberplasma wore a coat of arms that matched a necklace worn by the elf who fled earlier (Nigel Aldain).
GM Watery Soup |
Gerva's not going to attack you, so you're free to do whatever you want - you can talk to her some more, search this room, move on to another section, etc. Three votes moves the party.
Hskoro Tailfeather |
"The lad that broke the crate and set loose this silvery goo might be in danger. We should go in search of him."
