"Greetings! Did Shevar give you a name? We all have different opinions here, as is natural. Perhaps he had someone specific in mind... Also, what wishes have you considered?"

![]() |

"A Wish scroll? That is very powerful magic. I'm sure Lazlo can speak more to that, and can perhaps even put the scroll to good use. Though yes, I understand that you need to be very precise with the wording of the wish."

GM Doug H |

No. Things are pretty rushed right now. We haven't considered any wishes, as he told us to ask our betters. You're also to make the wish. He's afraid we'll word it wrong. They look at Lirana and Viognier. It IS tricky. That's why we're scared. Maybe somethign simple, like a fantastic weapon, or even greater personal power? Those things would help you protect your friends more.

Take 10 on Kn (arcana) for 31.
Oh! Oh, you need to step away from that statue right now! It is the Whispering Tyrant disguised as a grim reaper! Lazlo is animated usually, but this is something quite new. You do know that Tar-Baphon -- that was the name of the Whispering Tyrant in his mortal life, you know -- he was a powerful wizard-king who ruled central Avistan some 3700 years ago? Then he got killed, and came back as a lich -- that's an undead necromancer that's striven to achieve immortality, you understand -- and had to be defeated all over again, this time some 800 years ago, and...

GM Doug H |

They look up at the statue while Lazlo speaks. You're so knowledgeable. I bet you know exactly what would destroy him too, right? What would you wish for?

While Sayna doesn’t detect any deception, she still nevertheless has a feeling that this is somehow too good to be true. She just isn’t that lucky. You don’t get to 137 years old of her life and think you are lucky. The last time she thought she was lucky when the hellknight that enslaved her died to a plague in Korvosa and there was a new organization of personal guards for the Queen which was looking for members with her precise set of skills. An entire body covered in scars later, and she learned once and for all that she should never, ever believe herself lucky ever again.
”We can take the scroll, but I don’t think we should use it. A wish spell is a big deal. Maybe hold onto it until if or when we absolutely, desperately need it.”

![]() |

"That seems awfully wise, Sayna. Yes, I agree. Until we have more information, it would be difficult to put it to the very best use. Ma'an? What's your name? Would you mind handing the scroll to Lazlo. He'll know what to do once we've researched further."
Viognier asks respectfully, knowing that a vintner doesn't just need grapes to produce an exceptional wine. It's in the barrel, the admixture, the terroir... Yes, Sayna has the right of it.
