Melody gulps down her flying potion and takes to the air. She stares at the scene for a moment.
"Oh. I understand. It's not an epic. It's a tragedy."
She sings, a much sadder song than you've heard from the cheerful halfling before. The mournful tune helps the Pathfinders still struggling to break free. She sings until there's no more magic left, and then she escapes to the top, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"I have to record all of them. Every last Pathfinder who lost their life today. They must all be in the story."

Lazlo flies into the chamber, grabbing as many Pathfinders as he can in a group, saving his last touch for Narayan. No, not now. It is not any of our time, yet, he says, his voice unusually calm for the frenetic gnome.
In a trice, all are outside as Lazlo dimension doors them out. He does this two more times, or until he can hear no cries for help any longer.

Viognier lingers, providing a rear guard and urging those who are in a battle frenzy to move. "The fight against the Whispering Tyrant will continue. We will need your strength!"
A few times, light bursts from his holy tankard, beating back tendrils of negative energy.
At last, as the storm of death threatens to cut off retreat, the leshy manages a spectacular dive through a closing wall of tendrils, lopping several off with his rapier as he passes.

Sayna directs and collects as many Pathfinders as she can. She is sworn to protect her comrades, and protect her comrades she shall. She pushes through debris with one hand while holding her banner high with the other. She does not worry for a moment about her own safety; she knows it would take more than some rocks to do her in, and the volcanic heat is even less of a worry. The entire time, she sings.

Through the terrible dark and palpable evil of the dungeons of Gallowspire, the expedition fights its way to the surface. The earth beneath and around them continues to shake, and undead monstrosities continue to fight, but the Pathfinders are implacable in their progress. Finally, after many more hours, the dim light of day greets the surviving Pathfinders who emerge from the outskirts of the Gallowgarden. Most show signs of desperate battle and deep exhaustion. As the light grows and shatters the clearing clouds, a few shouts of congratulations soon become a rousing cheer.
Marcos Farabellus steps forward triumphantly. “My friends, I have never been so proud to call myself a Pathfinder as I am today. Thanks to you, and to everyone who gave their lives to this mission, the world does not need to fear a terrible undead blight. The Whispering Tyrant may be a figure of legend, but you have challenged his plots, and you have emerged victorious. Your bravery and determination stand as a shining example, not just to your fellow agents, but to the world. Let us face the challenges ahead in the same spirit. Let us honor our dead and carry their memory and stories with us as we move forward into a new day. Explore! Report! Cooperate!”
