Will Save vs Fear (inspire courage): 1d20 + 11 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 11 + 3 = 21

”Into the breach, dear friends! Let us strike down the last foe while it is trapped.”

Kirana explains the wall to the party.
"MISTRESS, I CANNOT SEE YOUR FOE." the conjured treant booms ponderously.
"I see. One moment," Kirana says, then initiates a connection with the magical aspects of nature. She draws upon the 'fabric', finds the gaps, and balls that up. She then projects that null space at the wall, looking to unravel it!
Dispel Magic (Targeted Dispel): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
I'm guessing that succeeds? If not then the treant throws at the wall.
With a rumble the treant picks up the chair in front of it, and with an epic wind-up throws it the ooze!

**OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT**
Master of Spells Sorrina Westyr frowns at the black veins running through Gallowspire’s walls. “Do you see that? That’s pure negative energy flowing through the walls. It’s strengthening every undead creature in all of Gallowspire. If we don’t do something about it, I shudder to think how tough our battles will be against Gallowspire’s strongest defenders. Let’s put a stop to it here and now!” Players, you can send your Spellcaster Aid Characters on this mission.
GMs, please begin the Aid Mission (Spellcaster) when you reach a good point to do so.
GM Doug H
After healing up, you move on deeper into the complex. Average is fine, track charges. Viognier needs 5 charges; Sayna was down 31 so 6 charges.
You pass through a dim, claustrophobic corridor; as you spend time here, your throats become sore from the desiccated air and corpse dust. The treant creaks behind like an old tree, squeezing through the gap a spelunker.
The passage soon opens into a new chamber; its walls are lined with tarnished silver mirrors, some of which have been smashed to pieces. Reflections of reflections dance about in the dim light. The hallway beyond is crisscrossed with crackling black energies that block the entire passageway.
Lorenzo and Melody (and anyone else trained in Arcana) tell you that the black energy is a ward created by the Whispering Tyrant. Its powers are far beyond the capabilities for most mortal casters to dispel and it cannot currently be bypassed by teleportation.
You need to find a way to bypass this defense. You have a few strategies available:
Please choose a check and make it, or let me know if you have any questions!
GM Doug H
Looks like we have aid missions right now too. Please make your rolls as before; I will post in the OOC and you can roll there while we continue the narrative of our main PCs here :)
GM Doug H
Lazlo succeeds and begins to untangle the nature of the wards.
1 success. This is a group effort.

Viognier gazes at a very pleased version of themself in the reflection. A delivery had come to them as they'd visited Kristoff Valicho at the Silver Spoon Tavern and Inn. They'd enjoyed catching their fellow Caydenite up on the events of the previous day — a raid on the estate of Amynta Ryel to free an imprisoned debtor.

Hmmp. Well, if they need someone to boot an immortal necromancer from their place of power, may as well call on the Obsidian Sage. Ain't like it's the first time I had to. She begins setting up a ritual, sheathing the walls in ectoplasm where the surfaces are too dangerous to touch.
The rigid bindings of Chelish exorcists form the basic structure of her working, but the source of her power, and the grace notes that customize it to this singular purchase, draw on the spirits and ghosts here that predate even Tar-Baphon. Let's see who else has some tricks. Focusing for a moment on the flawlessly knapped obsidian that rests near her heart, she adds a few more foci inscribed in Osiriani, Jistkani carved into the strangely conductive skymetals of Numeria to help direct lost souls to their destination.
"That should hold; what's next?"

Narayan is delighted to take a more prosaic path towards dismantling the wards, and simply begins prying them from the wall!

Melody is so concerned for the prisoners that she doesn't realize the bird sitting on her friend's head is a raven, not a thrush. It watches her carefully with its red eyes.
