The northernmost passageway that exits the laboratory ends in a set of stairs that leads up to a massive double door to the west. Made from stout wood and bound with iron, the pair of doors is crudely decorated with a carving of a small rural village that has been set ablaze.

Anyone examining the carving can tell it must have been made many years ago and, despite its poor overall artistry, the village bears an unmistakable resemblance to Etran’s Folly. The doors are not locked.

On the opposite side is an orc dressed in a blue apron and goggles. He laughs wickedly as you enter. "So, the would-be heroes arrive. Prepare to meet your doom!" He already has a flask in one hand, and the other hand is grabbing the door handle.

Before I roll initiative, I see that Merin is giving everyone an inspection. These are the current damage numbers as I have them. Also I missed his post for healing the group and the cat.

The orc easily shakes off the worst of the fear spell, but is clearly still facing some of it's effects. He realizes the situation he is getting into is swiftly falling out of his control, but unable to get into the next room, he instead whistles very loudly.

Hulgur at first sees no obvious danger. If anything, it looks very plain, save for a long dead body strapped to a table.

While Hulgur dodges most of the powder, some still splashes onto his leg. It doesn't seem to hurt or anything. The sculptor then starts punching at the halfbreed.

He turns around to see coming from the entryway a leopard with its body lit in flames! His mouth gapes in surprise and horror as it leaps through the Pathfinders, giving them no mind, and strikes at the Scupltor!

The door begins to feel get smacked and smashed against repeatedly from the opposite side!

This ooze made entirely of chemicals and blood has a few scary tricks about itself defensively. If attacked, it can React by clotting its new wound. Also it soaks in all blood from any bleeding individuals, restoring its own vitality.

A barrage of attacks comes from every Pathfinder who can fling a spell! The ooze seems to do very poorly at resisting the fires of Merin! Crit fail, infact, it takes double. The leopard joins in the fray and rushes up to the ooze, biting it with a fiery breath!

As Hulgur bleeds more, the ooze seems to be recovering from its wounds by taking in the spilt blood. It lashes out again at the healthiest target, Allania!

The Pathfinders push back, launching another assault against the ooze, and forcing it back away from their dying ally. The ooze seems unable to hold form, as it begins to spill blood this way and that! It collapses under the stress that its blood clotting cannot stop.

With the blood ooze defeated, the Pathfinders, and their feline companion, manage to defeat the threats within this lair. The cat sits down and begins to lick it's fur, seeming more comfortable with its fiery form now.

In the Sculptor's Room
A small stash of coins worth 18 gp and a fine set of silver scales worth 30 gp sit atop the desk. There are also a number of documents in here written in Orcish.

In the Blood Ooze Chamber
In this chamber is little, save for some notes pinned to the northern wall. It is delivery instructions that appear to have not seen use in a long time, but they provide directions from "Hallod's drop-off stump" to a place called "Spite's Cradle".

The feline is a boon companion that you earn for completing this part. If anyone wants to go Ranger with Animal Companion or Druid with Animal Companion, they can look to recruit the leopard as a pet.

When you all return to town, you will also gain one more level.

Merin barely registers the defeat of the ooze, as focused as he is on Allania.

I'm administering First Aid until Allania's bleeding stops, then casting Stabilize.

Chewface pokes the ooze's remains a few times with his knife. If the goblin comes to the conclusion that it's safe to touch, he pockets as much as he can.

"That looked close! Good thing this thing was here." Even if the cat is on decent terms with the party, he probably gets a bit of a reaction at this.

Gobil spits up any ooze still in his mouth and scrapes his tongue, starting to calm down.

"*Blech* I am glad everyone is alright, mostly. Thank you Mr. Leopard." he says kneeling down to thank the animal for its help.

Allania looks to the strange animal in admiration and thanks. She tosses it a piece of dried meat. "Thanks you for saving my life." She looks at the directions of drop off points. "Looks like Spite's Cradle is where all of those supplies have been going."

Merin breathes a sigh of relief when Allania recovers enough to get back up. "That was too close," he says, as he turns his attention to Hulgur, in an attempt to patch him up as well.

"Hopefully, this 'Spite's Cradle is wherever Vilree is holed up.' He takes a look at the map briefly, before asking, "Can anyone estimate how far from the stump this is? I'm awful with directions."
