Luckily Tarasik has effectively endless muscles.

rando1000 |

I can't seem to get the right setup... I've infiltrated, butt there are 2-3 dozen enemy.
Hmm... logic dictates effectively endless enemy.
Well, yes and no. If you do it right, the ones in the street are probably not going to notice you for a round or two. They're busy harassing lots of other people. Think of it as video game logic. The AI isn't going to mark you as a particular threat until you make it clear you are one. By that time, hopefully the rest of the party is there and the other ones have bigger problems (literally, in Tarasik's case) to worry about.
Alternately, you could try to lure one or two off to the side in the shadows. Your choice how to handle it, but I don't see this as especially dangerous to Djon nor beyond his capabilities.

rando1000 |

Good point. Both spells are Close, so about 65 feet range.
You have the option of moving forward to range (about another single move action from where you are) and seeing if they notice you. It is dark, and they are not vigilantly watching the bridge, just seemingly waiting to check anyone crossing in either direction. Of course, they MAY notice you and challenge you, but then, they may not.

Rando has kindly allowed me to post This, a game I have created from scratch. For the next couple of weeks I'm looking for feedback and suggestions for expansions, changes and edits before I actually run a game, and I'd love for you guys to offer both feedback and join the game itself when I start running it. I'm hoping to get enough people for a party, but if by some weird quirk of fate the initial game is designed as a festival where it's quite possible for multiple parties to run through it.

Strongman Tarasik |

"Genericum", huh? Clever naming.

Sir Walter Aringham |

I actually can't stand the name, and fully intend to change it...unless people like the kooky flavour, in which case it's great and I love it and no my teeth aren't gritted.

Strongman Tarasik |

I'll need to dedicate some time to reading through it more to give a better opinion of maiming, but I did find it amusing. You know, I'm part of a discord group for gaming (it's more aimed at the superhero subsection but there's healthy room for other, even independently developed games). I could shoot you a link if you'd like to promote it there.

rando1000 |

"Treason! Infiltrator in the ranks!" using his Tongues ability to make sure he was understood. With a little luck that should cause quite the distraction...
Diplomacy:36
I want to make sure I understand your goal with the above statement/Diplomacy attempt. I'm assuming your goal is, the gun having gone off just as one of their number fell to the ground, that people might mistake the situation and think the thug whose gun fired is responsible for the incapacitated thug. Is that correct?

Strongman Tarasik |

Never thought I'd get to use that bonus from his archtype to influence crowds, but maybe it'll help things from turning into a cluster.
Edit: Also, sometimes I wish I took that feat to add his strength bonus to his intimidate score, or maybe a trait to switch it around. +6 just seems so small for a brutally dangerous man like Tarasik. Gentle giant, anyone?

Rhat one. When I wake up properly I'll have him charge on in

Uret Jet |

For some reason I'm unable to stay logged in on the computer as well... well, time for a phone post.

Djon Hallow |

I know I'm late to the party, but any chance Djon could have climbed up about the stage?
Over been wanting to branch pounce. Fall from above...
How high is it? Falling damage goes to target of successful attack. Considered a charge.
Based on the Opera House description, I'm guessing 30'. From rigging to stage.

Strongman Tarasik |

I sure do love being strong. ;]
You know, I actually feel weirdly self conscious when I see those damage numbers. Perhaps I worry that Rando is gonna take it out on all of us with an exceptionally strong foe. ...Though at the same time, that could be fun...

Well, these guys were supposed to last a little longer, but there IS one more battle after this one.

Strongman Tarasik |

I think this is the first time Tarasik's dipped into his actual health pool in regards to damage. He still has a huge swath it though.

Yeah, it's definitely a whole different ballgame when we start getting to this level. So hard to make a challenge that doesn't go too far out the other side, at least for me. Glad I finally grazed him a bit!

Strongman Tarasik |

HP: 1d12 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 1 = 11 Not so impressive if going by dice rolls, but still.
Continuing to update, will be done within an hour or so.
Edit:
Finished updating! Biggest change this level is reaching the third level of Beast totem, granting me the ability to "Pounce" (Full attack at the end of a charge). Don't know what the final combats will be like, but hopefully it'll be useful at least once.
Edit 2:
Actually, if it's only being to be a single fight against a powerful Cthulhu-like entity, maybe the Eater of Magic rage-power would be better, just in case of an emergency...

Up to you. I can see the merits of each. One might help you take down the monster quicker, the other would *probably* come into play as well.

Walter's ready, I think. Main new tricks are the Retribution Hex and Baleful Polymorph. Because if I can I will turn Cthluhu into a bunny.
Dude, if you "bunny" Cthulhu, that will be both the coolest thing and the most disappointing finale I've ever run.

The thing is, if he isn't immune to polymorph or Fort saves, I absolutely can bunny him. I can cast the spell on myself, then transfer the effect to him with Greater Gift of Consumption. What I can't do is force him to fail the Will save, so he'd still have all his powers and abilities - I'd just stop him from smashing us flat with his face tentacles.
Plus, yeah, anticlimax and a half, so it's very much plan B. For bunny.

Taking a little creative license... hopefully no one things it untoward. I made sure it was just fluff.
Although, I'm going to say that I wish there was a way to use these characters again in the future. I like them and would really like to explore their depth and interactions.
Love the game, all! Thank you, Rando!

rando1000 |

Thanks! I've had fun running it, though I have to admit, this is about as powerful a group of characters as I can handle well. You guys have smashed so many encounters I THOUGHT would have been a threat. It will be nice to run some lower level stuff again.
Speaking of which, I have decided to run one more campaign on Paizo, a homebrew Starfinder. Custom setting. I'm giving you guys first chance before I open up recruitment. Links below, let me know if you're interested and we can start talking characters.

If it's any consolation, I felt threatened the whole time. AC 20 does that to ya!

Tarasik does not apologize for being dummy thicc.

I'll say, I am rather interested. I enjoyed our last time with starfinder. For this, maybe... Something a bit reversed from my last character.
What would you say to a "Drow|Elf", a species more natural gifted to psionics. Their culture would view it in a mystical lense and be very spirtualistic, though my character finds the notion as backward. Said species could have visited earth in the past, leaving behind rumors of fae/elves/etc.
As for actual role, medical officer. Maybe that biohacker class, give them a largely support type of role. Not sure who side chaRcter would be.

Sounds great. I had been thinking alien cultures might still view their abilities as "mystical" even if our science has studied and defined them as something else.
I'd also actually already had the thought that if someone plays an elf, they might have left rumors in our ancient legends as well, so that works great.
Do you want to call them "Drow"? Or maybe "Dokka" from which the ancient Norse would have gotten their word "Dökkálfar"? Either way, or something else entirely. Naming them will help me name their homeworld, which of course you can help me define, if you wish.
