Each of them changes shape in an instant, becoming rather more feral!

The halfling servant becomes a small creature which looks like a well-dressed and jewelry-bedecked fiendish gnome, its face mostly mouth and fangs. She also begins a bardic performance, aiding her companions and herself in battle.

Targeted Strike (Ex):
: At 7th level, as a full-round action the swashbuckler can spend 1 panache point to make an attack with a single light or one-handed piercing melee weapon that cripples part of a foe’s body. The swashbuckler chooses a part of the body to target. If the attack succeeds, in addition to the attack’s normal damage, the target suffers one of the following effects based on the part of the body targeted. Muri spins around the corner and plants a very solid shot into an image! Elen, including the AoO, swats away two images and plants a solid blow. Major Kort strips the last image and plants two in her! Edelmira plants one and demoralizes the poor woman, drawing the AoO. Kamari’s AoO strips an image earlier, and she also provokes, but dodges any penalty to gain an advantage spinning the poor gnome’s mind! She also hits her solidly, and she drops!

It likely leaves the halfling and malinois to bring up the rear, while the lesser injured pry open closed/locked doors on the first floor. He wonders how many more hornets are waiting for them on the other floors...

He does close the front door, like he did at Kunefe, so they may infiltrate the Manor uninterrupted.

You search and heal up a bit. The snake-armed monsters have no loot, being truly servants as far as you can tell. Evil gnome lady however had a lesser silent metamagic rod (3,000gp), and a wand of acid arrow (37chgs, 3,330gp). She also has keys to the house, and an emerald brooch (400gp).

And then there’s the ring under glass. You can all see it well enough now, though only Muri has approached the bell jar that covers it. And when he did he resisted its lure, but only just. I don’t remember who saw it (Major Kort and Elen maybe?) but a couple of you saw a magical trap on the same bell jar.

Kart offers to shoot the glass trap from afar, hoping that will set off the trap. If so, he will wait for others to move away before hitting it with a magical cold iron bolt.

Stylistic flourishes and a stout design suggest dwarves had a hand in forging this thick ring. The precise engineering of the small moving parts shows the fine artistry that went into creating the item. The ring features two carved symbols that flank a faceted onyx: one resembles the flag of Taldor, and the other depicts the eye of Aroden.

Major Kort finds it is a dwarven relic, likely granted to some high-born noble of Taldor no doubt, in antiquity.

Each of the three elements can be activated once per day to use a certain spell: the Taldan flag for hold person (DC 13), the eye of Aroden for prayer, and the onyx for stone shape.

Encircling the ring is a second metal band that rotates in place and is studded with a single diamond. If the diamond is aligned with one of the symbols, the wearer gains a +2 luck bonus on certain saving throws: saves against enchantment spells and spell-like abilities if aligned with the Taldan flag, against evil effects if aligned with the eye of Aroden, or against earth and poison effects if aligned with the onyx. Aligning the ring with a symbol is a full-round action.

The ring is a bit snug on Major Kort's finger, but he gets it on well enough. Might be tough getting it off again, but at least the finger isn't swelling, so it's not that tight. And it thrums with power...

It’s easy to see into the next chamber, and it’s gorgeous! A long table made of a deep purple wood is set with porcelain tableware. Each plate is painted in beautifully intricate geometric patterns. The table is worth at least 500gp - made from a rich wood from the Mwangi Expanse. ‘Course it’s also 400lbs, so I’ll assume you leave it behind. Still, that’s a nice table. Sure would look good at Betony.

The place settings are also an improvement over what’s at the Estate. I mean, you might not use it every day, but for special occasions this is quite a nice set (300gp if you decide to sell it). Near the door to what must be the kitchen, is an Oil of Arcane Lock of all things.

Just to move us along a tiny bit, Muri GMPC opens the door. Decorative blue and sienna tiles decorate the walls of this large, well appointed kitchen. The hearth burns day and night without the need for fuel, thanks to a bound elemental spirit created with Keleshite magic centuries ago, during the last Qadiran occupation.

The place is immaculate and warm. The door here that doesn’t lead out into the hall, is locked.

The first locked door is tried with Oaca's keys. Should it lead to another room on the first floor, Muri proceeds through it. Should it lead up or down, Muri chooses instead to leave through the south door, and attend to the hallway doors first.
