Tarak Stromblessed |

Oh, I do have spellcraft, had thought I skipped that on this character
Tarak squints at the aura of the finely crafted weapon, "Yar, it is magic... let me see if I can't ..."

Well, it is not a simple +1 weapon. Though it seems like it is at first. But there is more to it.
wm: 1d10 ⇒ 3
You head back to the cemetery again, outside the church, and find it is quiet this time and head on into the church (B12, which I am assuming is your destination in the interest of speeding things up).
Most of the walls of this forlorn ruin still stand, but the interior walls have been demolished and gutted. Several skeletons litter the structure's interior, including about a dozen garbed in the red-chiton livery of the Pactmaster Guard. the rest appear to have been clerics of Sarenrae or even common citizens, though the past 20 years have rotted away most of the skin and cloths worn by the corpses. Ash and fire stains the interior walls and ceiling throughout most of the structure and signs of violent battle are everywhere. It reminds you of the scene in the catacombs of the monastery.
Near the center of the church stands a forlorn stairwell that leads down to a heavily barred door. A strange metal plate with a glowing series of irregularly etched lines mars the surface of the door, casting the stairs in a dull red illumination.

"Oh? Can I try to determine what magic it holds?" The ifrit asks as he sees that Tarak can't tell more about it.
"I mean it's a dream given blade, isn't it?" he fails terribly but is unable to admit that he can't tell from a magical club to a magical fork let alone this fine blade..

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Earlier?
As the move through the Pesh field Gnasher hands the Fauchard to Urah, letting the sorcerer examine the blade. Nodding his head when his friend points out thatit's 'dream given.'
now
Recognizing the armor of the pactmaster guards and the clerics robes, Gnasher having a gift for speaking the obvious points out. "Must be temple." As the tribe moves towards the stairwell and the heavy doors, pointing towards the ruin he asks, "Can anyone read runes?" Carefully looking at the stairs themselves, Gnasher cautiously walks down them, then stops to look at the door. Turning Casper he asks, "Knife master think it's safe?"

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Looking around the room, Gnasher Chuckles at Lupe's comment about 'smarter people.' "Time to see what behind door." Turning impatient, Gnasher approaches the door, fauchard in one paw, he pushes the doors open with the other, looking about the room.

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Did Gnasher notice a physical lock?
Growling to himself, Gnasher looks at the magical door again then looks at the others. Setting his weapons down he draws out a crowbar he attempts to pry it open. Resisting the frustration and rage growing in side of him, he turns to the others. "Use key or magic maybe open?"

Urah looks over.
"Perhaps another place? I do not have such magic to open the door." he pauses as he scans the skies.
"Also trying to open the door by force might attract unwanted attention."

Casper "Pythonglare" Cantour |

No, no physical lock. Just a cast iron bar for pushing or pulling. You can RP trying to open the door, but in the interest of not wasting valuable player time I'm going to tell you up front that it ain't going to open, at least not yet.

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

While Tarak and Casper study the door, Gnasher Pauses for a moment considering the building the were in. Thinking to himself that this had been a temple of the goddess called Sarenrae. He knew little of Sarenrae but enough to believe that many of the bodies had been her clerics. Though he personally did not see the value of properly burying bodies, he wonder if this goddess did. Waiving his fauchard he Gestures towards the temple. Trying to form the goddess name properly he asks. "This temple of Sarenrae, do anyone serve her?" Pointing at the bodies. "Temple desecrated. Maybe door open if made clean again?" He gestures towards the cemetery. "Put priests bodies in graves?" He looks to the others to see what they think.

Urah Pyr |

"Or maybe it wants the whole place cleaned up before letting us in?" Urah muses aloud.

Casper "Pythonglare" Cantour |

Casper glares angrily at the implacable barrier,
"Well, that's... exceedingly vexatious."
He turns to regard the rest of the company,
"I suppose we need to direct our attentions, for the moment, to some other portion of this godsforsaken ghost town."

Lupe Fiasco |

"Agreed maybe we can find someone that knows about it."

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Stepping away from the heavy doors, Gnasher nods, resting his fauchard on his shoulder. "Tribe go to buildings closer to middle.B8.B10 they nearer now." He heads out the door, crossing the road through the rubble, catching the road on the other side. Moving up the road keeping a keen eye out on his way towards the smaller building on the right. B8 Stopping at the build he quickly checks the door for locks or traps.

@Casper, the demon is in front and is 60' from you. Lupe and Gnasher are the only ones that have a straight line and may charge. So no, unless you use a missile weapon. But you can get a lot closer.
The demon looks rather smug until Gnasher crits him. After that it staggers backwards a step and look in pretty beat up.

Lupe is unable to connect, feeling some unseen force tap his weapon just the tiniest bit, just enough to make his blow glance off the tough demon hide. Wolf latches on with his teeth but they are also unable to penetrate the hide {Natural armor and lots of it and Damage Resistance - very tough hide)
The demon steps back and make a ripping motions with his hand and continues to do so. Those of you with the skill may make make a spellcraft roll to figure out what it is doing, but it sure looks magical.
The gnolls rush forward with howls to block your advance on the demon. Gnasher, since you have reach you can take an AO. If you KO one, Yellow will move into the vacated spot instead of where she is headed.

The two that were summoned are summoned right in the gap left by the eliminated gnolls and do not have their halberds deployed so they use their horns to savage the fighters that have been doing the most damage. The gnolls also attack though blue collapses after making it's attack.
Now that Gnasher is no longer charging, his armor is up to the task and it
misses him. In fact it is a total whiff all around except for one lucky gore on Lupe.
