Feast of Legends: Rise from the Deep Freeze
Intro to the World
You are adventurers in the realm of Beef ’s Keep, where the nations have been splintered over major disagreements in how to treat the realm’s people. Creepingvale and the United Clown Nations have led their people into a collective darkness known as The Deep Freeze. While the world currently feels like a cold and desolate place, you reside in the one nation that remains a true beacon of hope: Freshtovia.
Freshtovia is known for its lush fields; signature dishes; and redheaded queen, Queen Wendy. As queen of Freshtovia, Wendy has clapped back at all attacks on her borders. She is strong and has maintained her nation’s integrity despite the growing pressure of the other nations.
I'm sorry... What?
No you're not hallucinating! If you haven't followed the wacky world of the Twittersphere this past week, then you may have missed that Wendy's (yes, that Wendy's) has put out their very own Tabletop Roleplaying Game.
Consisting of a complete adventure taking heroes from 1st to 5th level, the Rise from the Deep Freeze campaign takes you through 5 Scenarios across the delicious realm of Beef's Keep.
Forge a hero from one of 14 Orders (your classes), equip yourself with the finest kitchen cutlery weapons gold can buy, and strap on your burger buns, cause it's gonna get hot! (And cold!)
Recruitment!
I don't expect these adventures to be taken seriously or take all that long so here's how it's going to work.
I'll simply take the first four recruits on a tour of the first Scenario and keep on churning through until we reach the end. If I find it fun enough, I'll happily take another group, then another, until I get bored of burger puns and ice cream jokes (I meant Frosties, my bad.)
So uh... How do I get started?
To qualify for recruitment, you simply need to dot below and then provide me with a finished character before Friday, October 11th.
You'll find everything you need HERE. Character Creation rules begin on Page 5.
One caveat though! The PDF does contain the entire adventure so please, pretty please, don't ruin it for anybody. It's quirky, it's fun, you can ham it up for days, but it'll sour the whole experience if you read on ahead.
If you want to visit the whole website, you can RIGHT HERE.

Oh My Goodness... This is Actually Happening
Now you're catching on! I've even meticulously printed out the entire pdf at my local staples, got myself a stash of red-colored dice, and I'm ready to blast through a-not-so-serious adventure with some hopefully fun and friendly people.
I'm not a frenzied poster, so we'll discuss two options for gameplay:
1) Forum Post - 1 post a day minimum (my least favorite option)
2) Discord - Still 1 post a day but I'll be able to play much quicker there. (My prefered option).

I was just reading the basics of this earlier, and laughing way too hard. I have to make a concept. It's starts with a truly epic name, and in true fashion, I will be building Ahnold Schwarzenburger, a mighty practitioner of the Art of the Beef (specific order tbd).
4d4 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 3) = 13
4d4 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 3) = 11
4d4 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 1) = 6
4d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 4) = 14
4d4 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 4) = 13

wanderer82 |

Okay, it goes without saying that Ahnold Schwarzenburger must be in the Order of the Baconator!
Str 16 (14+2)
Gra 13
Int 6
Arc 11
Cha 13
hit points: 4d4 + 5 ⇒ (4, 4, 4, 2) + 5 = 19
----
But wait, my late-night mind is running to the drive-thru now... who else did we find??
Leonardo DiCowprio
Angus Macfadyen (goes by Black Angus and is a notorious pirate!)
Meat Loaf
Thomas Bredd (Joseph Dredd - Judge Dredd)
Stax Davetansky (Max Rockatansky - Mad Max)
Stacker Picklecost (Stacker Pentacost - Pacific Rim)
Steak Sizzlen (Snake Plissken - Escape from New York)
Rooster Cogburn (Rooster Cogburn - True Grit)
Dr Fries pronounced 'E' (Dr Freeze - Batman)
anyone feel free to use these names, i am having too much fun...

Dotting, this sounds right up my alley. I think I'll roll up a Dave's Double. His name will be Strider.
4d4 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 3) = 12
4d4 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 2) = 12
4d4 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 4) = 8
4d4 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 3) = 9
4d4 ⇒ (2, 4, 3, 1) = 10
4d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 4) + 4 = 14
I'll get a proper statblock finished when I have a free moment.

This is Wanderer82, now with an alias!
Given the thematic nature of an Ahnold/Conan spoof character, would you be okay with me taking a -3 penalty to Arcana in exchange for a +1 to Strength? No worries at all if not, just curious.
I'd rather stick with what you got, Str 16 already is really solid at 1st.

Welcome to the squad! That makes a Baconator and a Dave's Double. Order of the Beef is working its way up!
Two left to hunt down!

Oh, 16 is great, totally BIGGY SIZED! I just figured Ahnold would suck with Arcana is well, so thought I might ask for a 1 point trade off if I lowered it a bit. Like I said, no worries at all. Need to do starting gear, though admittedly it is a little vague.
No worries, maybe we can work that in somewhere storywise during the adventure.
For equipment you have 10 gold. Spend it on a weapon or armor if you can.

Here's my submission - Order of the Baked Potato's ability to grant advantage on attack rolls should go well with the Order of the Beef's tendency to give extra attacks and actions.
Crispen "Chips" Chippendale
Order of the Baked Potato
HP: 13 (12+1)
Strength: 10 (9+1)
Intelligence: 9
Charm: 9
Arcana: 18 (16+2)
Grace: 6
Defense: 13
Equipment:
Spork (1d6, Standard, 2-handed, 30ft)
Sleeping Bag
10ft rope
Basic Fishing Pole (DC16)
2g
Skilled With: Heavy armor, throwing weapons and projectile weapons
Cannot Use: Light armor or finesse weapons
Skills:
Salt of the Earth [passive]: When an encounter is taking place outside, add an additional +1 to all Arcana rolls.
Hearty Fulfillment: On a successful Arcana roll of 12 or high-er, you and friends within 20 feet of you will have raised spir-its, gaining advantage on attack rolls for the next two turns.
The son of two members of the Order of the French Fry, Crispen Chippendale was given his name in hopes that he would follow in their footsteps. Unfortunately, Chips proved to be a disappointment in that regard, choosing instead to shape his life after potatoes that have been baked, as opposed to fried.

I'm intrigued! I hope I can come up with a character that will do the setting justice.

I think that makes you our fourth and final!
Our team consists of:
wanderer82 (Ahnold Schwarzenburger) our Order of the Baconator!
Gyrwynt (Strider) our Order of the Dave's Double!
Thalos (Fryer Grylls) our Order of the Grilled Chicken Sandwich!
NexXToa (Crispen "Chips" Chippendale) our Order of the Baked Potato!
I'll leave recruitment open for potential roster fillers should we have any drop offs and we'll begin on the 11th as promised. In the meantime, let's all make sure we have our gear prepped!

I’m fine with whatever. How do you want character sheets done? I’ve put most of my stuff into a profile here, but if we use discord how do you want the character sheets done?
On Discord I'll simply have a channel called Character Sheets where we'll keep them as separate posts. Super easy to then go back and modify.

Gyrwynt |

I'd also be down for playing on a discord channel, so that has my vote.
