The Dire GM's [SFS] Skitter Shot (PbP GameDay VIII) (Inactive)

Very fair-minded of you, DGM. Tough luck on the site losing the post. It happens to me often enough too.

Heya gang. Again, thank you all for playing in this adventure! I know several of you had RL things going on at the end, so I decided to just bot those last couple of rolls and skip the optional encounter (1 yea, 0 nay, but 3 people hadn't weighed in yet). RL > Game is rule #0 for my pbp as well as in my own PFS/SFS lodge, so no worries from me on any of that.

I'll be working on your chronicle sheets in just a few minutes using the information you gave me before we began. I just wanted to be the first to let you know some information about the chronicle sheet and the brand new Nufriend Skittermander boon that you can start working on!

You can apply this chronicle to any 1st or 2nd level character. The xp, fame/rep, and credits are fixed amounts. No gear appears on the sheet. The date on the chronicle will be 11/17 - the last day of PbP Gameday. As for the boon, hehe...

You get a field of 24 check boxes on the chronicle. Once all 24 are filled out, you can play a Skittermander in Starfinder Society! (Or if you already have one, you can use the boon to play a second one, or boost an ability score on the first one)

The language on the check boxes has confused some people in the past, so I wanted to comment on it here. You get 1 box for playing a scenario or a short (16-page) module. This game doesn't count towards your check-boxes. You get 2 boxes for playing through an entire AP book. You get 2 for GMing a scenario, 3 for GMing an AP book, and also 3 for GMing at a Regional Support Program event or a convention that gets Paizo prize support.

The tricky part is that you cannot use the same adventure twice towards these check-boxes, even if you play something then GM it, or if it is a repeatable adventure, each unique adventure only counts once towards this boon. When I did my first one, I listed the scenarios on the back and had GMs initial the front. Other people have the GMs initial the boxes and write the scenario #s above or under the boxes - how you do that part is up to you.

Thank you for running and the clarification, if I don't have a GM that finished this already I need to tell him he's short initials now for RSP.

For your consideration, there is a sequel adventure - Skitter Crash! It follows the same four Skittermanders on another adventure, taking place about one year after this one.

I know Incendiaeternus has already played it - but - I have a rather drift boon called "Glutton for Punishment" that I can use 10 times to let somebody at my table replay a game for credit without using anybody's GM stars/novas. If most/all of you would be interested...I could be persuaded into running Skitter Crash for you, too!

Note that it wouldn't be part of the Gameday event so there would be no rolling for boons, and the chronicle sheet can be applied to a level 3-4 character, or "dropped down" to a level 1 PC with reduced credits.

So, nufriends...anybody interested?

Also, Skitter Crash will be delayed one final time due to a minor family emergency coming up unexpectedly right at the end of my super busy weekend (4 games in 3 days). If I'm not ready to start by Tuesday, though, I will give everyone a free reroll and/or permission to shoot me with something (preferably non-lethally, but that's up to you :P)

We are at 2/4 players signed up for Skitter Crash. I hit the road on Wednesday and then will be out of town (but taking my laptop with me so still able to post). I was hoping to have us started before that...anyone heard from Sunny16 or CaptainBacon by any chance?

I don't have any other games going with either of them at the moment. They could be holiday busy.

I went looking for our missing players. Sunny's last post was to us, explaining about upcoming finals. I imagine they're tied up with school and holidays. I'd wager that Sunny comes up for air around Christmas.

It looks like Captain Bacon has dropped out of most, if not all, of their games. Last post that I found was early December; it sounded very blue. I hope the good captain is all right.

My unsolicited preference is to wait a few more days. I liked the original crew.

Sorry for not replying sooner - some unexpected family drama at home out of state. The chronicle sheet is on the product page, here: Link

What I do from there is open it in acrobat reader and "sign" to fill in all the GM-only parts. I then go to www.ilovepdf.com to split the chronicle sheet off from the rest, then open it again at the end and personalize them for each player (saving each one under a different file name). That's the most efficient workflow I've come up with for pbp without a full copy of Adobe on my crappy old laptop.
