BTW, in my profile I assembled a list of juices that I daily create:
2 Alchemist's Fire
2 Frost Vial
2 Bestial Mutagen
2 Juggernaut Mutagen
2 Quicksilver Mutagen
2 Cognitive Mutagen
Unless stated otherwise this is my consumables for the day. On the bottom of each, it states: Made by Hopper the Mad, enjoy!

Hate to break it to all of you, but perception checks have the Secret trait in PF2. Whenever we take the Seek action, the GM makes the roll and only he knows the result.
We could save him some trouble and make the roll inside a spoiler and not open it, I suppose.
Off the top of my head, other rolls with the secret trait include stealth and recalling knowledge.
GM: I am having trouble editing the text box from my phone. Emilio's stealth is +4 and he gains +2 to all initiative rolls.

GM Wayfinder |

Thanks a lot Emilio!
Please speak up w. things like that.
Right now it is not really an action.
Just what you spot passively as you arrive.
I’ll probably use the prepared spoilers on Slide 4 for the secret rolls and do them myself.
The idea behind the rolls being secret is you crit fail, fail, succeed, crit succeed - and should not know (basically rolling 10 over/under is crit).
I will try to post in a couple hours and should be good, but was flying and just landed and work tonight, so if some delay it’ll be later.
Edit: I will update the slide, Emilio.
No problem at all.

With regards to the gifts, I looked into your hearts (character sheets) and tried to guess what could you benefit from. If you want to know what exactly you will be offered below is the list. All of them are mutagens, so they polymorph your body and brain, feel free with RP'ing that ;)
Teja - Quicksilver mutagen
Emilio, Kamil - Juggernaut Mutagen
Larhalt - Bestial Mutagen
Yelinfanthor - Serene Mutagen

You saw right through me !
I'm not familiar enough with the rules but i guess claws are an option, but i can still punch and kick ?
:)
There is nothing stating otherwise, so yes. Fangs and claws are just additional weapons that you would have. I was thinking that +1 to unarmed attack rolls could be of use to you.

GM Wayfinder |

Yes, you can use your monk attacks, and/or these natural ones (even mixing them), as part of your three actions.
You could attack three times with the same "fist" or "claw" or "dragon tail", or with three different parts of your body.

With regards to contacting with Familiars I am refering to this:
https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=164
I am not sure if this is two-way communication, but when I read it again it says:
"It can communicate empathically with you as long as it’s within 1 mile of you"
Which only says about Familiar contacting me, so I think that I can't use her as a communication mechanism. In that case, Lizzy gives no signal

GM Wayfinder |

On plane again so cannot check re. Familiar.
If any have any ideas?
But to communicate could mean back and forth exchange.

![]() |

I am fine either way, I imagine that Teja after 5 minutes would decide just to go in ;) assuming that the goblin is mad ;) The synchronization here is not that important.
With regards to rules, I don't know. In the pathfinder 1e there was this:
Empathic Link (Su): The master has an empathic link with his familiar to a 1 mile distance. The master can communicate empathically with the familiar, but cannot see through its eyes. Because of the link’s limited nature, only general emotions can be shared. The master has the same connection to an item or place that his familiar does.
But yeah, communicate means two ways for the most part ;) I am fine with GM arbitrary decision.
Hopper believing that he can share emotions with Lizzy fit his Hermit background very well ;)

What is a rule for throwing an alchemical bomb at large enemies? Can you select which rectangle out of 4 you are throwing at and then the splash happens around it?

GM Wayfinder |

Unless something I am missing in the CRB (which is easy at this point): yes.
You toss at the critter, aiming for the square where you want to drop you bomb.
Then all creatures within 5 feet of the target (including the target) take the listed splash damage.
So that'd be (I imagine) all creatures within 5 feet of where you dropped the bomb.

GM Wayfinder |

Kamil: you used two actions to cast your spell, so you have one action left, correct (to move or whatever)?

GM Wayfinder |

One thing: I do not think I did this wrong, unless some rule I missed, but this Swarm can attack three times (its attack is a One Action one) per round, and it does not take a Multi Attack Penalty since it does not roll an attack, so, remaining in it is super dangerous I'd reckon (since it also will deal to damage to people who are dying, not targeting its attacks but doing them by AoE).

GM Wayfinder |

re. dying 3:
• Kamil dropped to 0 with the splash, thus is @ dying 1
• then, at his round, Kamil tries to stabilize w. Recovery, and fails, moving to dying 2
• then he receives damage from the poison which moves him down to dying 3 (because he was @ stage 2 of the poison, and his Fort' save success "only" moves the poison to stage 1)
That is it, right (or did I mess up)?
(on tabletop things might be a bit different, since you move your init' to right after what "killed" you, thus probably letting others act first, when he would be at dying 1, before his turn and dropping to dying 3)

Though we have not totally finished, I have reported the game, and here are your Chronicle Sheets.
Bravo! It seems you all survived (I thought we might lose Kamil, there...).
It does seem quite lethal...
Three things:
• Teja Khellekdottir: I forgot to apply Slow Advancement to you (so you can adjust and mark down that you get 1/2 instead of 1 for all XP/Fame/Rep)
You gain half of the XP, gp, Downtime, Fame, and Reputation rewards earned in the adventure.
But I was not sure if you wanted that, or if 1 of each is fine for you (that avoids dealing in 1/2 points, that you can only get by playing Quests in slow ; scenarios grant 4 XP, or 2 in slow)
If you do that, then you also get 1/2 from the gp reward and the Downtime
• I will let you mark your Gold acquired (since I do not know if you want to track how much you had at the beginning, at the end etc.).
Everybody (except Kamil - the only 2nd level character) receives 3.5 Gold (or 35 silver).
Kamil (as 2nd level character) receives 5.5 gold (or 55 silver).
Now, PCs receive treasure based on their level, whatever the tier or subtier etc. (simpler)
• Downtime:
(I will let you write your Downtime down on your sheets, resolved here)
Quests see you getting 2 days of Downtime.
So, tell me what you want to do.
- crafting? You can start crafting something that you finish later
(players can spend their Downtime to start or continue an activity such as Crafting an item that requires multiple adventures’ worth of Downtime to complete.)
- getting some money?
If you go with Earn Income (a Crafting check to sell work and earn cash, a Lore check - maybe teaching?, or Performance) - you can do one DC 14 roll (for all, including Kamil)
If you fail (or if you do a job you are not trained in) you earn 1 cp per day = 2 cp
If you succeed you earn 5 cp per day = 10 cp (or 1 silver)
A crit' success gets you 2 sp per day = 4 sp

![]() |

Come on 7......
Downtime, earn income, crafting, DC14: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
OMG, Hopper is a slacker, no doubts about it. 2 cp for me then ;)
When I will be back I will buy that saddle and stuff for the doggie ;)

Ahh given it is a quest not a whole scenario, maybe not do this one in slow mode. Sounds like it will just complicate it
Teja will write up her adventure and then deliver a lecture on it.
perform: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
I'll be buying a bandolia (1sp); and healers tools (missing for some reason)
Now I get a Crit.
Many thanks for running this. My first full PFSv2 experience.

Btw. @GM Wayfinder thanks for dragging me into PFSv2 I loved it. I would prefer us to have more time for this quest, but I really enjoyed it regardless. Thank you all fellow players I enjoyed playing with you.

As usual, you've did a great job GM :)
Thanks you all guys for saving Kamil's ass ^^
Despite the fact that we've met a CR3 creature in a quest for level#1 character, I think PF2 is quite fun to play!
@GM Kamil being a Field-commissioned agent have 50% more downtime (so 3 days)
Earn Income (Perform): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 so 3 silver, so a total of 8,5 silver for this adventure
Do you think you will continue the rest of the Quest? I'm in if you do :)

GM Wayfinder |

Thanks a lot for the kind words!
I am writing up a little text for your Downtime and will post it when all is done.
The encounters in the Quest are done, but, yes, I will finish it up over the next few days (just wanted to get the Chronicle Sheets out for people to prepare for Game Day if needed).
@Kamil: you get 15 cp total (1.5 sp) for the Downtime.
It is a "level-2" (so still level 0 for you) DC/Payment, so a success is 5 cp / day, x3 = 15 cp

![]() |

thassilonian history, lore: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 noooo!
Gonna spend my hero point to reroll that
thassilonian history, lore: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Crit success! 4sp!
So a total of 39 silver from this chronicle

GM Wayfinder |

I was asked by a player if anything forbade using one’s Hero Point to reroll a Downtime
check.
I found nothing stating it would not work. And seeing you, Emilio, do so, tells me it fine, right?

![]() |

I got the idea from a GM of a PF2 game at GenCon.

GM Wayfinder |

I see nothing against this: Spend 1 Hero Point to reroll a check. You must use the second result. This is a fortune effect (which means you can’t use more than 1 Hero Point on a check).
So it works fine for me.
I will simply have people roll for Downtime at the end of the game, then, since it might be important to keep your Hero Point(s) for the session, and not die... rather than use it first on money you can't get if you die!

If all okay, I will close the game down in a couple days if no one needs anything.
Enjoy the Game Day!
