FYI, it's finals week for me. One down, one literature review and one exam to go! If I'm slow to post, that's why. My brain is mush right now. I hate radar data, so much math.

Sherman Blake |

Can we assume we were able to sell all the loot?
I calculated with everything else expect precious gems (and money itself) would sell 50% of the value. That would be 25780.4 gp in total, divided between Sherman and Tarphrex that's 12890,2 gp.
Would that be ok? (I think that would take Sherman slightly over WBL, don't know about Tarphrex)
And if yes, then I'd like to do some shopping.

GM Sphen |

Yes to the selling. All the loot that you've accumulated can be sold off at the standard (half) price.

Sherman Blake |

If shopping can be taken at some point during the days, Sherman would add these to his items:
Cloak of resistance +1 1000gp
Belt of Mighty Constitution (+2) 4000
Handy haversack 2000gp
Rod of Metamagic, Reach (lesser) 3000gp
Mithral chain shirt +1 2100gp
Pretty standard adventurer gear...

GM Sphen |

This is apropos of nothing.
At Farmageddon, I won the charity boon to get the drow chronicle. So I can have a drow character in PFS. I'm going to make her a Paladin of Isis with a camel mount. Her name will be Aziza, because she brings light.

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

Fun!

GM Sphen |

Another story, this one from one of my IRL groups...
We had a great session at our table recently and one part stands out enough that I wanted to share it with you all.
Fair warning; if you hate self-aggrandizing stories, just move along. I might get muscle strain from patting myself on the back.]
Background Info: I am running this group through the Kingmaker AP and we just entered book 5. I've really played up the fey influence in this AP and added some minor fey court/first world stuff. I started teasing the Rushlight Tournament in book 4, and the players latched onto it. And I felt that the tournament as written was going to disappoint them. So I beefed it up. It now has mutiple events across mutiple weekends with the first weekend being a "squire's tourney" and registration for the rest of the events. Really played up the faire atmosphere, and they dove right in.
When they first arrived, they went to their alloted pavilion to unload and get ready to glad-hand around the other kingdom's representatives. A servant tells them their visitor is waiting for them inside. They prombtly ignore the servant and head inside and are surprised that there is someone there. A tall man with blond hair and thin features. His style of robe and headwrap suggest he is from a desert climate, likely Thuvia. He bows respectfully and introduces himself as Hareeth (with a rolling r and not how it is actually spelled). He asks that the party help him free some of his people that have been captured and are being used as slaves inside Castle Pitax. They discuss for a quick moment, but agree.
Important details from the discussion. The party asks how they will know his people. He says that he will give them a token that his people will know and respond to, proof that the PC's come with is blessing. The token is a perfectly spherical steel ball polished to a mirror shine, 8 inches across.
One of them asks what the compensation for their services would be. He is given some razzing from some of the other players, but he stands his ground. Hareeth says that he would prefer to see how many of his people they are able to free before hand. Well, that isn't good enough and the PC says so. Hareeth promises that he will provide appropriate compensation and is willing to shake on it. Said PC does, with one of the other players looking on in horror as they get a terrible feeling suddenly.
The man leaves after making the deal, the party chats about what they think is going on. The player with the bad feeling asks how to spell the name (she is the best note taker out of any player I have EVER gamed with). She asks, 'Is it Haref?'. I say, "No. It is Jareth." She writes it down, then looks at it in horror, then at me, then at the player who made the deal, then back at me. All the while saying, "Oh no. Oh no. You did this to yourself. This is your fault." I'm sitting on the other side of the table laughing, just cackeling. No one else at the table is picking up on what just happened and who they just made a deal with. It will be MONTHS before they learn just what happened, but I got called a "sly bastard" and that made me very pleased.
Or possibly one of them will be watching a movie and have a moment where they realize everything. Or not.

Elisani Dascalu |

Hahahaha, that's amazing! They should know better than to make open-ended deals like that in a campaign with a strong fey influence.

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

I want to hear about the follow-up!

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

Tarphex’ wish list would be
4000 gp Headband of alluring charisma +2
2000 gp Ring of protection +1
1000 gp Cloak of resistance +1
3000 gp Rod of piercing, lesser
Sherman, did you say we had 12000 each?

Sherman Blake |

Sherman, did you say we had 12000 each?
12890 gp and 2 sp, to be precise :)

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

In that case, I would like to add a handy haversack and a wand of cute light wounds to the shopping list. Are all these items available for the purchasing?

GM Sphen |

In that case, I would like to add a handy haversack and a wand of cute light wounds to the shopping list. Are all these items available for the purchasing?
Yes. Especially since you all have spent so much time in the temples lately. And they have a reason to sell to you from their stocks. Anything they wouldn't have, you can get in town elsewhere.

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

Oh, I might need to adjust that list. I believe a casting of invisibility sphere was requested. I could do that from a scroll, but failed to account for it.
My thinking is Tarphrex casts invisibility sphere, we drink levitate potions, we float up the tower. When engagement is imminent (and silence is no longer paramount), Tarphrex casts haste on the party. He will glitterdust her when she goes invisible, but that's an attack that will negate the invisibility for everyone, so he will hold off on that.

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

Apparently, I already had a haversack and was overlooking it the entire time. Tarphrex has augmented his spell selection with some scrolls instead.

Sherman Blake |

Haversack is great for us STR dumpers...
Sorry for not being more active in the battle prep, work is crazy atm.

Ain the watcher |

Who has the highest weapon crit modifier? You're getting weapon of awe to maximize effects

GM Sphen |

I should have said this earlier, but I will be out of town the week of June 10th. So no posts from me then. We're going to Disney.

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

Enjoy your trip! I will be on the road the week before that, but my posting will likely continue about like it has been - early or late most days, no time in between.

Sherman Blake |

Nice, enjoy your trip!
My summer plans are a bit unclear still, but probably spending less time online 3-4 weeks from midsummer.

Estella Vale |

Have a nice trip! I should probably have mentioned this earlier as well, but I'll be out of town next week myself. I'll be going to Vienna with my father.

GM Sphen |

A) Thanks for all the well wishes on my trip. I return those hopes for all of you who are traveling. And for those who aren't, I hope you have a relaxing time.
B) I know I said I'd start off the combat today, but work got away from me. I probably won't get it done today.

Ain the watcher |

Not terribly relevant but my intiative is Plus 4 not 2.
Also question... Can we see what the mask is made of? Like i want to know if its metal

Sherman Blake |

So the enemy is not holding the spear? One of us could pick it up?

GM Sphen |

So the enemy is not holding the spear? One of us could pick it up?
Potentially. But you'd have to leave the sphere first.

GM Sphen |

To restate:
The combat is not in a surprise round. You have full actions.
Some of you are probably saying to yourselves, "That's not fair, we deserve a surprise round." And to that I will remind you that the creature is unaware of your presence and thus flat-footed to you regardless. And, as long as you stay in the invisbility sphere, she will not be aware of you.
As for casting invisbility on yourself before you leave, that would mean another stealth check. So keep that in mind. Any spellcasting would.
You may notice Tarphrex got a penalty on his initial stealth check, that was for casting haste.

Ain the watcher |

What about my questions and initiative?

GM Sphen |

What about my questions and initiative?
The mask is gold.
Your initiative would not effectively change with a +2 bonus. If you want to go before Estella, fine.

Ain the watcher |

Nah, it doesn't matter too much about the initiative... But the mask being gold does matter... I have what I'm doing for my turn. Heat metal baby

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

I presumed that my round was taken up with haste. I could draw something, but I’m stationary so my friends can work within the sphere. I don’t know what I would draw, so I won’t.

Sherman Blake |

I could cast silence on the area around the enemy, preventing the mirror images etc. But will it do more harm than good? It will hamper Estella at least.

Ain the watcher |

How big is the radius?

Ain the watcher |

Heres the thing... Mirror image destroyed us last time. We can't afford to let her get that off...

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

Silence seemed to help us a great deal last time, but it may have been too late. She is a powerful spellcaster and a formidable warrior. Taking one of those away seems worthwhile even if it forces us to accommodate. Hopefully we would have discussed this before we arrived and Estella would have weighed in on the idea.

Elisani Dascalu |

I'm in favor of silencing Snake Lady. Mirror image sucks when you're on the receiving end, and I really don't want to lose two characters in a row.

Ain the watcher |

Look if we lose a second set of characters then somethings off with this fight lol

Estella Vale |

Hi, my vacation has begun! I can still check in but I might get too busy to keep it in mind, apologies for that.
I agree with the Silence cast. If we can deny her mirror image, that would be huge. Not having my Rage Song smarts a bit, but there's still the flagbearer boost at the very least.

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

When silence is cast, she may hear the casting, but if not, she won’t hear Estella’s casting. Just putting that out there.
And my vacation has begun, but the travel doesn’t start until tomorrow. Should be available to post early and late around our adventures each day.

Sherman Blake |

OK, starting with the silence.
Have fun vacations!

GM Sphen |

Sherman has many bad memories about the snake-woman, but he also remembers the enemy was a spellcaster. So preventing her spells would give them upper hand for a while, and thus he calls for his divine gifts and conjures a field of silence on the rooftop.
Targeting area, not the creature like last time. Drew the are on the map. And I don't think that breaks the invisibility, right?
BTW, did Elisani identify the creature, and perhaps learn something useful?
1) I don't believe Elisani has rolled/taken her turn yet. And (@Elisani) if she did roll in the past, please just remind me.
2) Since you cast silence on an area or object (like a roof plank), and not the creature itself, it does not break the invisbility.

Elisani Dascalu |

In retrospect, I should have just posted that I was delaying and not done the combat part of my post until the next turn. That's what I get for posting when I'm tired. :P I don't want to delete the post though, I got that lovely crit...
So yeah. In case I wasn't clear in the IC post, Elisani is not going to move until after Estella manages to grab the lamia's spear.

Estella Vale |

Sorry, I forgot to ask again in the post, but I hadn't moved on the map because I wasn't sure where to move to in order to be in picking-up range of the spear.

GM Sphen |

Sorry, I forgot to ask again in the post, but I hadn't moved on the map because I wasn't sure where to move to in order to be in picking-up range of the spear.
We'll call where you moved is fine.

Ain the watcher |

I'll be able to drop my turn tomorrow. Dont have access to my laptop Atm. Typing from phone.

Sherman Blake |

Have a great vacation, GM Sphen!

Tarphrex the Magnificent |

Have a nice trip!

OK, the GM's gone. They said the laptop was staying, now's our chance - who's got the keys? Who's got the alarm code?

Oh, hi! Who, us? We're not up to anything! Really!
*Finds it very difficult to whistle innocently through reptilian lips.*

Thank you all for the well wishes. Disney Land was indeed fun. I made my own custom Tron figure.
Also, be forewarned about all attempts to sneak into my home. I have one of the best security features on the planet, a nosy neighbor with nothing better to do.
