The Society learns of a potential connection to the Scoured Stars from a mysterious relic that ended up in the claws of an Absalom Station pawnbroker. The PCs must travel to a distant star system aboard the salvage vessel that first uncovered the relic. In the depths of the Vast, the legacy of the Scoured Stars unfolds as the PCs find themselves right in the middle of an interstellar war!
Content in Honorbound Emissaries directly follows-up on the events of Starfinder Society #1-99: The Scoured Stars Invasion, though playing the previous scenario is not required. Content in this scenario also contributes to the ongoing goals of the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction and to the ongoing year of the Scoured Stars storyline.

“You’ve arrived just in time for the briefing. Please, join us,” Luwazi says, indicating the unoccupied chairs across from her. “I’m pleased you could make it on such short notice. With agents and resources diverted to other endeavors, I feared it would be difficult to get a team together. Still, i Luwazi t worked out that you were my first choices for this mission.”
Luwazi gestures first to the vesk on her right. “This is Captain Yuluzak, of the Veskarium salvage vessel Honorbound.” She turns to indicate the android sitting to her left and continues, “I’m sure you remember Iteration-177. They’ve been indispensable to the Society, especially in helping with our return to the Scoured Stars. It’s time for us to return the favor.”
Luwazi taps the screen of her datapad, and a hologram of a demolished ship appears suspended above the center of the table. “Let’s get you up to speed. Recently, Captain Yuluzak stumbled upon some unusual flotsam in the Drift. Captain?”
“The unidentified vessel was completely destroyed,” Yuluzak begins, taking his lead from Luwazi. “But my crew found a strange object within the wreckage.”
The holographic image at the center of the table morphs into an egg-shaped obsidian sculpture ringed by interlinked disks of various metals. “My contact, a local pawn broker named Julzakama, said it was a piece of alien art. He assured us his
buyers would pay top dollar for the piece. We logged the location of the wreckage, sold what we could, and called it a day. But it wasn’t that simple. I think Iteration-177 can explain this part better.”
Yuluzak waves a claw toward the android. “Thank you, Yuluzak,” Iteration-177 begins.
“When Julzakama reached out to me, I instantly recognized this piece of artwork as unique to the Kreiholm Freehold, a federation of several races that once occupied several worlds in the Scoured Stars system. There are no extant records of the freehold since their mass exodus from that system centuries ago. Discovering evidence of the Kreiholm Freehold is certainly cause for excitement, but the fact that Yuluzak found the piece on a destroyed vessel concerns me. Sadly, I can’t see to this urgent matter myself, so I contacted my friend Luwazi, and here we are.”
Iteration-177 folds their hands on the table in front of them and smiles. Luwazi nods. “Here we are, indeed. If Iteration-177 is correct, the Kreiholm Freehold could provide us with valuable information about the Scoured Stars, and perhaps the jinsuls. Of course, as Starfinders we always jump at the chance to explore a new system. You’ll leave Absalom Station as passengers on the Honorbound with Captain Yuluzak. He’ll retrace his steps back to the Drift wreckage and confirm the ship’s origins, then transport you to that system to investigate.”
As Luwazi speaks, the holographic projection cycles through an image of a three-dimensional star chart. “We may be dealing with an unknown alien civilization, so please be diplomatic."
“To recap: travel to this system, establish contact with their leaders, and find out what intelligence they have to share about the Scoured Stars or jinsuls. Any questions, Starfinders?”

A female android wearing a race pilot jacket stands in the room. Her eyes scans the place to see if she knows some of the agents present.
With a flat voice she says The chance for not having already have met one of the four other agents present was 20.6%. Pleasure to see you again Keskodai. She smiles and adds in the same voice Long time no see Captain Yuluzak. Happy to meet you. Iteration-177 alway a pleasure to have you here.
Turning to Lawazi she asks What to we know about the species that forms this Kreiholm Freehold? Have we some leverage or knowledge that could help to establish a peaceful contact with them?
What about the "art" found on the wreckage or the wreckage itself? Have we been able to salvage something to study it?

![]() |

Lounging back in their chair, half listening to the briefing and half replying to a particular persistent fan on their comms device Zso sighs deeply. The Lashunta leans forwards and places their elbows upon the tabletop, looking around at their fellow agents and the others present in the briefing.
"Yuluzak! Iteration! A pleasure to see you both again. Sounds like you have had some adventures since we last met." He says in his deep, powerful voice to the Vesk Captain. "Say, any ideas what destroyed the ship? Look like Jinsul weaponry or something else?"
Interested in hearing the answers to the odd Android's query, they lean back in their seat and close the fan mail they were replying too on their comms.

Bluuuuu |

Of course. Bluuuuu think-says to Luwazi as he enters the room. The barathu floats past M'shak and Zso to drift slowly down and rest on top of one of the room's chairs. He shifts uncomfortably as the armor plating fitted around his shell grates against the chair back, but listens intently as the First Seeker introduces their two guests.
Feeling caught off-guard by the familiarity of the other Starfinders with both the vesk and the android, Bluuuuu asks. Iteration-177. I have heard kind things about you from other Starfinder agents. It is a pleasure to meet you.
And you seem very knowledgeable about this Freehold. But if there are no records about them, and the Scoured Stars system has been only unsealed for a small window before the jinsul drove others away, how are you certain about their art?
Also GM, Bluuuuu would like to Purchase Lashunta Ringwear III, an Electrostatic Field mk 1 armor upgrade, and a Mobility Enhancer mk1 armor upgrade (12,920 total credits)

Goose takes an offered seat at the table from Luwazi. He nods at the other assembled starfinders and dignitaries. As the vesk is introduced, his eyebrows shoot up. He gives the captain a once-over, scanning him closely. Did she say Honorbound? muses the operative.
The tiny ysoki simply blends into the background as the conversation ramps up, content to let the others ask questions. As the talking continues, Goose scrutinizes the assembled team and the other invited guests, looking for anything out of the ordinary.

Shohiraj . |

Keskodai nods in acknowledgement to M'shak. The shirren is tall and angularly chitinous, clad in a tight black d-suit with target-like yellow spirals on its thorax and upper most shoulders. Bits of light gear hang from his belt. The most substantial thing he carries is a crystal and alloy chamber within which is a small wormlike creature.
The shirren settles back down listens attentively to the First Seeker, her guests, and his new teammates.

![]() |

An odd looking shirren introduces themself as Bugface. Bugface actually looks like a normal shirren except for the robotic left arm and wings sprouting from Bugface's back.
Bugface's antanae perk up at the mention of a new civilization. Bugface broadcasts telepathically,{No questions from Bugface, just excitement!}

Iteration-177 and Luwazi exchange a look at M'Shak's question. “We know Precious little about them” Iteration-177 explains. “I found no records of contact—military or otherwise—in several centuries of data. Their current location is unknown but is likely an uncharted system somewhere in the Vast. The freehold has no known allies or trade partners.”
Yuluzak lets out a hearty chuckle and interjects, “I think what they’re trying to say is, be ready for anything.”
He shakes his head at Zso. "No idea really about how the ship came to its fate."
Of course, with your own extensive contacts, some of you may already have picked up some rumours...
Yuluzak is the captain of the Veskarium salvage vessel Honorbound, and he is known for his exemplary degree of professionalism, loyalty, and persistence.
Yuluzak observes ancient Veskarium codes of battle with unshakeable resolve, including the custom of the honor duel.
A few months back, Yuluzak challenged a group of Starfinders to such a duel. The results greatly shaped his impression of the Society. Some of you may remember taking part in it if you did 01-04:Cries from the Drift..
He respects strength but does not believe might makes right. Above all else, he values honor and loyalty. The Veskarium, family, and his allies are of the utmost importance to him, and he sees those who would betray such bonds as beneath vermin.
As knowledge of the looming yet still mysterious jinsul threat spreads, Yuluzak reportedly has a dim view on these aggressive beings. He views the jinsuls as opportunistic, dirty fighters with no honor. Yuluzak makes no secret of his desire to fight the jinsuls and triumph.
Yuluzak doesn’t like to talk about it, but he’s estranged from his own biological family after a feud with his sister Karinazak. The core crew of the Honorbound have been a lifeline for him. Yuluzak adopts family wherever he goes, seeing weaker friends as younger clutchmates to be protected, and more capable allies as friendly sibling rivals. Becoming a member of Yuluzak’s extended family is easy for anyone who acts with respect for rules, either planetary laws or a personal moral code.
Jinsuls are chitinous, six-legged creatures with a set of robust forelimbs. Three rows of pincers line their mouths, each with tiny hooks to grasp their prey.
Starfinders who battled jinsuls hand-to-hand report that most of the creatures bear a peculiar cybernetic augmentation: long sabers implanted into their first set of legs. The creatures use them with incredible precision and can cause severe bleeding with these blades.
Starfinder agents returning from a top-secret mission into jinsul space added significantly to the Society’s data concerning jinsuls. In addition to their deadly leg blades, some jinsuls are specialized to counter common types of combat training. So far, the Society has encountered antioperative zealots and has reason
to believe that other jinsuls may be skilled in fighting mystics and technomancers.
The Jinsul Hierocracy is a religious and militaristic society that worships an old god from the Scoured Stars system. Their leaders are priests who often command dangerous supernatural or magical abilities. Jinsuls are evil fanatics who cannot be reasoned with.
Time to slot your boons. Anyone with Honorbound Allies (from 01-04) is strongly encouraged to slot it as an ally boon for the scenario.

![]() |

With her library chips, M'shak takes her time to access the different data bank about the mission.
Recall Knowledge (culture) take 20: 20 + 17 = 37
Recall Knowledge (Life Science) take 20: 20 + 16 = 36
Then she sends the collected data to her comrades.

![]() |

Goose reviews the notes sent by M'shak as he follows along with the conversation, occasionally looking up and nodding at the Second Seeker and Iteration-177.
As the conversation lulls, Goose interjects.
"We are stepping into a pressure cooker here with the jinsul threat and a completely unknown with the Kreiholm Freehold. Do you have any special instructions for us with the Kreiholm Freehold? I assume we want them on our side but any pointers will be helpful."

Bluuuuu |

Thank you for allowing us transport Captain Yuluzak. Bluuuuu offers to the vesk. We will do our best to be gracious passengers and avoid any conflicts.
Final Boon slots:
Personal - Alien Admittance (Barathu)
Ally - Cedona
Social - Contractor's Respect: Abadarcorp.
***Will be checking a box of that Respect boon to acquire some Acolyte Shadow Chains for the scenario

Iteration-177 and Luwazi exchange a look at Goose's question. “We know precious little,” Iteration-177 explains.
Luwazi continues. "We’re not a military or government organization, after all. We don’t have any official rules about contact, but in general, my personal policy is to treat each alien species as a group of potential allies. They had a saying on ancient Golarion: explore, report... and get along. I think that applies here.”
The vesk responds to Bluuuu with a smile. Of course a vesk smiling... is not too reassuring.
"“My contract specifies transport and protective services in space. If enemy ships threaten us, I have your back. Planetside, I’ll keep the engines running for you. But you have full use of my ship’s amenities for the journey. Treat my crew with respect, and they’ll do the same. On the Honorbound, we are family.”

![]() |

"Fair enough. I think I have all I need to get going. Anyone else?" offers Goose as he looks around the conference room at the others.

![]() |

Without much information, I will guess a 37.8% chance of success for this mission.
I will reevaluate the odds once we will know more.
Says M'shak before adding I'm ready to go and be part of your family Captain.

![]() |

Goose chuckles quietly at M'Shak's statement. "We've all been in some tight spots and are all here to testify that things work out. Especially for experienced Starfinders. Have a little faith." offers Goose.
"Oh, one more thing. Never tell me the odds."

![]() |

Your team boards the Honorbound. It turns out the ship is pretty spacious. Those of you who had a play-fight with it a while back note there have been a few... modifications.
There are three cargo holds, and two others bays, one fitted out with a medical bay and another as... a gym. Those vesk eh?
Captain Yuluzak welcomes you aboard, introducing you to the rest of his "Family". He is especially keen on Goose, Zho and M'shak who he greets with bonegrindingly enthusiastic bearhugs.
First he introduces Jayazalva, who has what appears to be a brightly coloured butterfly fluttering about her head. The stern vesk's face turns almost serene when her attention is on it rather than you.
"I keep the crew in tip top shape while we are in the Drift. No slackers!"
Before we go onto the rest of the crew, anyone who would like to try and do her gym based obstacle course... give me a set of three acrobatics or athletics checks (DC is in the 20s :-) and a fortitude save at the end.

Shohiraj . |

With a long Drift journey ahead, Keskodai tries to particiapte in the workout sessions. Although he appreciates the chance to move and maintain some fitness, physical exertions are not his strong suit. He attributes any success he may have to a peaking biorhythm and Pharasma's grace.
Athletics: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Athletics: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
And there go my good rolls for the game.

![]() |

Goose accepts the challenge offered by the vesk. Exercise is good for the mind and the body. The tiny operative takes one look at the weights and the athletic portion of the workout and elects to focus on the acrobatic and dextrous challenges.
Goose eases through the routines on auto-pilot, letting his keenly honed muscle memory do the work.
As a Ghost operative, level 7+, Goose has SPECIALIZATION SKILL MASTERY allowing him to ake 10 even if stress or distractions would normally prevent you from doing so. Each result = 30. The Fortitude save, however...
Fortitude save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Between the drift journey and the captain's bone-crushing embrace, followed by an intense Vesk workout, Goose is unsure his stamina is up for the enduring feat.
"Whoa. I'm not sure I feel so good." interjects Goose as he takes a seat nearby.

![]() |

What a waste of 20s!
Shohiraj has no success. Though Pharasma's grace shines on him, his innate lack of any physical training means that he has no chance at the course.
Goose however observes and then carefully avoids making any of the mistakes that Shohiraj did. However by the end of him he collapses in a heap in the shower.
"Your agility is good, but your stamina poor. Must work harder!" says the gruff Jayazlva. However she is somewhat impressed with the performance and takes out a carefully wrapped package which she presents to him. "Nobody in the crew has done as well as that, and I promised this to the first that made it through."
Unwrapping it you find a yellow star plasma rifle.
Others can also attempt the test. Feel free to RP with either Jayazalva or Yuluzak. I'll add in another NPC tonight.

![]() |

Pleasure to meet you Jayazalva, I’m M’shak says M’shak when meeting the Vesk.
Like her comrades she tries to do the training.
Acrobastics: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26
Acrobastics: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (20) + 18 = 38
Acrobastics: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (18) + 18 = 36
Fortitude: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Recuperating from the try, she talks to the captain Captain Yuluzak, it seems you have done several modification since our last encounter. Can you tell me more about it? To tell the truth, I’m quite impressed.

![]() |

Nodding at the Vesk Captain’s words, Zso gets up from their chair and dusts themselves off. They hadn’t expected much information regarding the ship’s demise but had hoped for a lead at least. No matter, knowing barely makes a difference when the laser bolts fly and I start swinging. they ponder to themselves as they collect their belongings and ensure their armour and outfit are still impeccable.
After leaving their publicist to follow up some leads for a new production beginning filming soon, Zso heads to the Honorbound with eager excitement. They had thoroughly enjoyed the space duel with the Captain on their last meeting - trading inventive insults and bold challenges as they clashed. The Captain was clearly honourable and strong hearted and Zso had been bereft of such company for some time.
Boarding the ship Zso spends as much time with the Vesk captain as the duties allow, asking them to spar and dine. They also attempt to get to know their Starfinder comrades better. At the challenge of an obstacle course the Lashunta wholeheartedly accepts.
Athletics: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 26
Athletics: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27
Athletics: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (12) + 16 = 28
Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Bluuuuu |

No slackers. I understand. Bluuuuu says to the vesk. As the barathu watches the crew's trainer go through their routine, he grows increasingly concerned. Some of Jayazalva's obstacles seem manageable, but several others are designed for more...conventional anatomies. Still, he does his best to try to play fair as he maneuvers the course.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
And Bluuuuu does in fact get off to a good start! Unfortunately, coming to a section requiring crawling through cramped quarters proves to be more of a challenge. The soldier's elongated limbs quickly tire under the strain as he slows to a literal crawl. By the times he gets out, exhaustion is starting to set in and Bluuuuu makes a total mess of the final rope section.
It seems I too have a bit to learn. he says sheepishly to Jayazalva as he floats dejectedly back towards her. Though it is impressive you have set up such a structure aboard your ship.
He hesitates, then continues. Jayazalva, if I may ask: that creature beside you. Is it a creature of yours? Or is it a stellar mote: I have seen 'solarions' with similar things floating by them, but never one so colorful.

![]() |

Jayazlva looks almost disappointed as M'Shak cruises through the course with little difficulty.
"I almost suspect some vesk in your ancestry!" she says with grudging admiration.
Yuluzak is happy to chat. "Well, after we met you last time, I may have invested a little in the odd weapon upgrade.." he says slyly. "You never know what you might find out there. Tell me, what you have been up to?"
While they talk, Zso also tries the obstacle course. He too makes it through, but his time is nowhere near as good as M'shak.
"I'm going to have to make this tougher." mutter Jayazalva.
Anyone wanting to talk with Yuluzak, just let me know what you say to him.
The first evening, you also meet Shaakar, a Pahtra and the ships engineer - and perhaps more importantly, its cook. Aside from being curious about how you find his meal. Feel free to make it up you discover he is an avid video-gamer, and almost obsessed with "Farley's Crossing" - the latest in gameware. He is more than happy to show off his skills at it.
And if you want to challenge him at it, it would be either a pilot or a profession(vid games) check.[

![]() |

My original makers could have been Vesk and create some subroutine to make be good at this. Says M'shak to Jayazlva
She continue her conversation with Yuluzak I've been quite around the Pact to be honest. Moving a lot. But I've been purchasing the Jinsul since the rescue in the Scoured Stars. I've had the chance to met other races from this galaxy usually better that these insect!
The evening
Interested to meet to other members of Yuluzak's extended family, M'shak is happy to discover the cook of the ship. Even is his cooking is not M'shak taste as she prefers more bland and expedite food, she find it "83.7% good" and congratulates the Pahtra.
Not particularly found of vid games, as a professional pilot, M'shak trains sometime on vid-game to recognize the circuit where she will ride and she's happy to challenge Shaakar !
Choose your circuit, I will try to give my best.
Pilot: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23

![]() |

{Oooh, an obstacle course would be a great test for Bugface's new armor. It is much lighter, Bugface can move better.}
Athletics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Athletics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Athletics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Bugface seems to still be over compensating for heavier armor and does terribly.
Bugface watches Shakaar and M'shak play their game, contemplating. {Bugface has not played this game. But Bugface has decided to try! Bugface has the next game.}
Pilot: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Bugface spends much of the game talking to Shakaar about the inner workings of the Honorbound. Bugface is much more interested in the ship than the game.
You may have noticed but I usually point it out. Bugface does not like pronouns so I'll be typing the word Bugface a lot.

![]() |

"Any intereting fights?" asks the captain of M'Shak.
Meanwhile Buface is still recovering from the humiliation dished out to Bugface by Jayazalva's gym run. "Or maybe not.." she muses to herself, seemingly satisfied that perhaps the obstacle course had proved itself.
Neither Bugface nor M'Shak can win against the increasingly confident Shaakar, whose endless hours playing video games seem to have given him an unassailable advantage in the game.

![]() |

Finishing off the obstacle course Zso pats Jayazalva on the shoulder. ”Don’t be disheartened friend!” they say good naturedly, breathing deeply to steady their beating heart. ”Toughest darned course i’ve been on for some time! Just been working on my moves for a while now for the business.” The Lashunta then heads for a shower and massage to soothe their muscles to avoid cramping.
Returning later for dinner dressed in an elegant Elven-cut robe straight from the designers on Castrovel Zso congratulates the Pahtra chef on an impeccable meal. Declining the offer of challenge they smile. ”You should seek out my comrade Wirraz if you get shore leave! A dependable fellow but always has their head stuck in their handhold! More of a retro gamer I understand but you never know.”
Over dinner they try to reminisce with the Captain. ”So how have you been since our last encounter? The Jinsul been given you any trouble? Ran in to them a few times now sly bastards.”

Bluuuuu |

Bluuuuu observes M'shak and Bugface's attempts at Farley's Crossing with interest. As he finishes off the sauteed electrivore dish slightly overcooked, but it did have a nice kick to it at the end. he steps up to try his own appendage at Farley's Crossing.
Ah, here. My colleagues played it safe. But if you jump over here to attempt to loop around...
Piloting: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
...oh. That was a black hole. This game is more complex than it appears.

Shohiraj . |

Better than insects?
The evening
Keskodai tries the food cautiously. Finding it is acceptable, he eats quickly. Like M'shak he is more interested sustenance than flavor. He does make appreciative comments, however. He's learned that that is a social more.
After the dinner he helps clean up. Then he waits for the pahtra to finish with gaming. Your pardon. I've never met a pahtra. Could you tell me about your home?

Following the intense workout from Jayazalva, Goose excuses himself to self-medicate and take a shower. Once feeling a bit better, he makes his way back to the crew. It is then that Jayazalva presents him with a wonderful gift.
"Honorable Jayazalva, I am humbled and honored to receive this gift from you. I will strive to ensure this weapon is used to strike down dishonorable foes and keep our friends and family safe. Many thanks." offers Goose humbly.

![]() |

The Pahtra are a catlike race Picture included in slides, and part of the Veskarium. He purs in delight as Bluuuu's ship vanishes into the black hole.
"Unnnnbeatable!"
Then, as Shojiraj asks him about his home he explains ""I come from Pulonis.."
"Vesk-6" interrupts the captain with a smile. "Yes, yes, Vesk-6 is the Veskarium's designation. It is a beautiful place full of jungles... and danger." his ears twitch as he mentions danger.
"But not as dangerous as a space fight..." adds in Yuluzak. "Remember that time the asteroid pirates tried to jump as as we left the Shadows Rising claim?" Yuluzak then goes into excruciating detail of that particular fight, lovingly caressing a (repaired) bulkhead as he explains how a lucky shot got through the Honorbound's shields.
The forth member of the crew joins you for after dinner drinks. This is Suwalnazka, a skittermander. She wears a small amulet about her neck.
"A little nip to finish the meal?" she offers to everyone.

After Goose finishes his shower and changes, he makes his way to the mess hall. A fine gathering of folks is seen and he sees the cook bragging about thrashing the Starfinders in a game called 'Farley's Crossing'. Goose rises to the challenge, not wanting the Starfinder team to be bested and to build a good reputation among the stars.
"Hoy, Shaakar. Don't get overexcited yet. I'm no ace, but I am a sky jockey me'self. I'll wager I can give you a run for your creds." puffs up Goose as he challenges the cook.
Goose studies the game and speaks with M'Shak and Bluuuuu, seeking any advice or pointers. The tiny ysoki takes a practice run to get familiar with the controls. Once ready, he expresses his desire to begin.
Pilot check for video game: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 = 40
Goose gives it all he's got and hopes to redeem the team in the eyes of the Honorbound crew.
Not sure if it helps, but Goose also has the Sky Jockey feat. :D

![]() |

Shaakar looks...surprised... as Goose totally schools him at the game. "I'd love to say it was just luck, but .... that was awesome!" he says in delight. "I've not had a challenge like that since..... we got jumped by those pirates after stripping the Shadow Rising.." he says with a laugh toward Yuluzak. "Now that was a fight, and I bet you have seen a combat or to yourself, if you were able to play like that!"
These events are happening over a period of time while you are in the drift, so I'm playing a bit fast and loose with ordering of things here just to make sure you all get a chance to interact with the whole crew.
The next night Shaakar prepares a special meal in honour of Goose. It ironically looks a lot like... a goose. "You have to try this, it is my speciality!" he offers. "Game bird from Pulonis." and indeed it smells wonderful.
"Almost as wonderful as the smell of ozone as the lasers discharge" laughs Yuluzak.

Bluuuuu |

"But not as dangerous as a space fight..." adds in Yuluzak. "Remember that time the asteroid pirates tried to jump as as we left the Shadows Rising claim?" Yuluzak then goes into excruciating detail of that particular fight, lovingly caressing a (repaired) bulkhead as he explains how a lucky shot got through the Honorbound's shields.
Bluuuuu nods in appreciation as the captain expounds on the Honorbound's battlescars.
It does seem to be a well-armored vessel. I have myself had too many dangerous engagements in space to excitedly hope for another experience. The barathu's floating suddenly vibrates erratically - his version of shuddering. Pirates would be unfortunate enough, but I have had several encounters with the Azlanti Star Empire's navy. Their tactical discpipline requires exemplary piloting skills to outmaneuver.
The forth member of the crew joins you for after dinner drinks. This is Suwalnazka, a skittermander. She wears a small amulet about her neck.
"A little nip to finish the meal?" she offers to everyone"
Untrained Mysticism: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
I would not mind. Bluuuuu responds as the skittermander offers a drink. Noticing some form of devout sigil around its neck but uncertain as to what kind, he offers his own cheers. May we adapt to what changes the Agent spins before us.

![]() |

I have several fight I could says being challenging. But I'm still alive, so for now I could says none of them deadly. The most difficult one was again a large demon, native to the new planet of the Jinsul. We flee rather than killed this powerful creature
Says M'shak to Yuluzak
Seeing Goose talent, M'shak is impressed !
Well done, you're quite a pilot. You could largely participate at the race I'm running and certainly win.
Seeing the holy symbol of the skittermander she recognizes it.
Mysticism: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
Adept of Damaristosh? Most appropriate for a Vesk vessel I would say. Are you the chaplain?

Shohiraj . |

Keskodai is also intrigued by the religious skittermander.
Suwalnazka? How interesting that you've adopted Damoritosh. Would it be impertinent to ask why? I have also adopted another species' deity.

Downing her drink in single gulp, Suwalnazka pours another as she answers. "I think the gods themselves are beyond ...species. That one species 'adopts' them shouldn't preclude others who share a similar interest also following that path."
Yuluzak seems impressed with the tales of battle. A day or so later he comes up to the team with a piece of paper. "This is the code to the yellow storage locker you passed when you first came in. Looted a spare armor upgrade a few years back and never got around to installing it. Figure if you fought the bugs, you might put it to some use."
black force field armor upgrade for someone for the scenario.
Who is eating the special meal?

Shaakar looks...surprised... as Goose totally schools him at the game. "I'd love to say it was just luck, but .... that was awesome!" he says in delight. "I've not had a challenge like that since..... we got jumped by those pirates after stripping the Shadow Rising.." he says with a laugh toward Yuluzak. "Now that was a fight, and I bet you have seen a combat or to yourself, if you were able to play like that!"These events are happening over a period of time while you are in the drift, so I'm playing a bit fast and loose with ordering of things here just to make sure you all get a chance to interact with the whole crew.
Goose nods his head in agreement as he tears into the special meal.
"You shouldn't have, Shaakar. I'm totally stoked you did, mate, but this is truly above and beyond!" gushes Goose as he eats his special meal.
Besides the black force field armor upgrade from the Captain, Goose received a yellow star plasma rifle. He cannot use it. Would anyone care to use it during the adventure?

As the Pahtra cook bring forth a truly magnificent dish forth Zso smiles appreciatively and claps their well manicured hands together once. ”You have truly surpassed expectations! Smells and looks divine.” Zso also takes the offered alcohol from the Skittrrmander to accompany their meal, though the Solarion sips at the liquor whilst they eat rather than downing it like the Skittermander had.
”If only all Starfinder missions began with such hospitality! I must thank you all for being such good sports after our last meeting. I’m glad Honour was satisfied.” They say as they eat, beaming at the crew. ”Is there anything I can do for you?”

Bluuuuu |

Bluuuuu could wield the rifle, but is more often moving into close-quarters combat. Bugface: could you make good use of it?
"I think the gods themselves are beyond ...species. That one species 'adopts' them shouldn't preclude others who share a similar interest also following that path."
That is true. Bluuuuu muses. Though while you speak truly, it is strange how certain Gods favor certain species. And species to them in return. I have met some dwarves who are very distraught their one God is missing. But they turned instead then just to his brother, who is very similar.
He raises two tendrils in a shrug. If one changes worship so easily, it would not seem to be a very strong faith.
Bluuuuu would also try the meal, curious. Never been to Pulonis :)

I could put that rifle to use, if there are no other takers.
Bugface will gladly take some of the special meal. Bugface tries all new foods put before them. Even if it tastes awful the experience always pleases Bugface.
{Bugface has never thought too much about gods. Should Bugface try it?}

Shohiraj . |

Keskodai also tries the special meal. He is unaffected by its taste or texture. For good or ill, the shirren's palate is not a delicate one. But again he comments politely on the meal.
I very much agree, Suwalnazka. The gods are universal, and mortals try to pigeonhole them, or maybe custom constrains so many entities' view on the gods.
I would not be hard on your dwarven friends, Bluuuu. In some the call to worship is strong and must be satisfied just as everyone must consume.
And sometimes, as in my case, an event or sign guides your choice. Sometimes the gods claim their own.

"Ugh, religion AND politics. No thanks..." groans Goose inwardly. He takes his drink and excuses himself from the group. "Religion is a bit out of my league mates. Please pardon me." he offers politely as he exits stage left.
Goose makes his way to the captain and strikes up a conversation. "Hoi captain. How goes it? You were asking about interesting combats. Well, I've got a doozy. Fought a huge ice dragon recently. One heck of a fight! Dang wyrm was tricky though. Almost took out the whole party." states Goose excitedly as he reminisces.

If everyone is part of the fight stories sharing...
Bugface flexes Bugfaces's left arm, which is mechanical. {If the captain likes hearing about good fights, Bugface has a story. Bugface's original arm was eaten by a devil. He burned Bugface's arm to ashes in a flash and sucked them up. Bugface didn't mind much. The devil was distracred from Bugface's friends and this new arm is really cool. There were many bad ass explosions that day too. Fire everywhere.}

The meal is delicious! And energising. And quite simply close on the best meal you can remember having in a loooonnnggg time.
And you all get a +1 typed bonus to STR and CON for the rest of the scenario.
Suwalnaka nods to Bugface. "It is not so much you trying it. Damoritosh is a god of victory and obedience that leads to victory" he tries to explain.
"Just as we here all obey Yuluzak.." she continues. "An army without discipline is one that cannot win. Imagine a space crew where everyone did just what they felt like... chaos!"
Feel free to continue to discuss religious philosophy with Suwalnazka
Aside from talking with the crew, you quickly learn that they have some of the recovered wreckage in hold number two. Those of you who wanted to investigate it have plenty of time to do so. Culture or engineering checks if you want to do so.

Interesting philosophy. I for myself follow none. Each deity are equal in my view and each represent a part of the universe. If I need hope, I could ask Desna, if I need strength I could call Damoritosh. Why letting only one god help us achieving great thing while there is so many?
Mysticism: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
She happy to discuss with the skittermander about the gods and their faiths.
After discussing with Suwalnaka, M'shak hearing that they have some of the recovered wreckage here, quickly go take a look at it!
Engineering (take 10): 10 + 17 = 27

Goose learned from the captain and crew that they have some of the recovered wreckage in hold number two. Ever curious, Goose will eventually make his way there discreetly to see what's what.
1d20 + 19 ⇒ (3) + 19 = 22
