Spider manages to dance the Odyssey around incoming asteroids. The shields likely could have taken the hit, but it's worth getting used to. You touch down and disembark at the closest safe landing place. It's about half an hour's walk to the Unbounded Wayfarer.
The surface of Ulmarid is a wind-scoured desert with jagged protrusions of rock thrusting up through the sand. The air has a harsh tang, like burning metal. The skies look reasonably clear for a while. But suddenly, a massive front of crystalline rain appears over the horizon!
For starters, anyone who wants can make a Survival check. Then, each person must make 3 DC 12 Reflex saves. For each you fail, make a Fortitude save. The saves are impacted by the Survival and the Flashback spoiler below, so read that.
Not long after securing the ghoul, several ysoki rush onto the scene. "Oh, thank Lao Shu Po and Matthias! We couldn't do with that creature stealing our wares. But we weren't likely to have a say in the matter," one fatter one with thin whiskers says. He proffers six plant bulbs. "Take these as a mark of gratitude. Good for what ails you."
These plant bulbs work as tier 1 antitoxins, giving you a +4 to the Fortitude saves. Now is the time to use them!

The sudden hail of poisonous crystals still left plenty of time to prepare. You huddle up and do your best to shield yourselves. No lasting injury is sustained, but some take a few light scrapes. Thanks to the plant bulbs, there doesn't seem to be any lasting effects. In less than 30 seconds, the storm abates. The metallic tang is quick to leave the air.
Rat, Zahvos, and Oda take 3, 5, and 9 slashing damage, respectively. Anyone who wants can take a 10-minute rest before this fight.
Following another short walk, the wreckage of the Unbounded Wayfarer is in sight! So obviously, it's fitting that something else will impede your progress. You take off, and are quickly making your way out of the atmosphere. Suddenly, a warning klaxon blares, and the ship lurches! If I read it right we have 2 guns on the front: coilgun and heavy laser + 2 guns on the turret: coilgun and torpedos. Anyone who believes that he can benefit us more by shooting keep in mind that you can change seats in each turn. Which mean that this turn we may have no engineer and/or no science officer but 4 gunners etc. ;). The enemy ship cannot fly out of our front arc.

The Lawblight roars straight ahead, firing a fearsome salvo with both frontal weapons. Their coilgun impacts against your shields, and you barely manage to dodge a torpedo.
