Not my best trip sadly. Naples isn't as nice as Rome. (I may be biased though - got married in Rome two years ago.)

I guess now is a good time to discuss expectations. When I joined this campaign, the draw for me was the small group because I was under the impression that it would be a faster campaign, 1 or more posts a day. If this campaign is going to go for days without posting, I'm going to lose interest real fast. Now I understand that life happens, and sometimes there will need to be breaks. And that's okay, but if you know you aren't going to be able to post for a few days, its common courtesy to let the others know.
Please let me know if you are going to be able to maintain a quicker pace or if this slower pace is going to be the norm so I know what to expect and can decide if I want to continue.
Apologies, starting the new school year hasn't helped. I was certainly aiming for a faster game but its been awkward so far. Entirely my fault. I'll certainly try to crank the speed up a bit, although I can't promise weekend posts I should be able to get up to 4-5 a week. Hope that'll work for you.
Understandable. Not posting on weekends is fine. Even missing a few days is fine. I'm pretty laid back but communication is key. A quick 2 second post saying you'd not be able to post a few days because of school or illness, etc goes a long way. I might be a little jaded because GMs sometimes disappear without word and then the campaign just ends and that sucks. But I'm enjoying the game so far. Keep it up.
You can try and barter your way into the sages library, at which point we'll roll against a library using the mini-rules, or trust the guys in the tavern!

Hopefully a potion of silence works as you intended. It would suck if you drank it and became mute but could still hear. =)
It specifically says that if it's cast on a person the zone of silence moves with the person, so it should. :) Theoretically you could pour the potion over a rock or something, too, so that the zone of silence centers on the rock and you can throw it away if you need to, haha.
Yeah, I'm familiar with how the Silence spell works. I was joking. And yes, casting it on a rock is typically better than on a person. It avoids the non-willing person making a saving throw and like you said, you can throw it away. My favorite is casting silence on an arrow and then shooting the evil wizard with it.
The silence rock is one of my players' favorite tactics, haha. Used both defensively and offensively - and the rock's way harder to notice and find than the arrow. ;)
I like casting it on myself. :D Especially fun if you play psychic casters who can cast inside silence.
Ooh, I hadn't thought of that extra bonus for psychic casters...and I have a psychic caster in my group right now...:D

@Ambrus: the history/geography checks will cover the Tomb of Theseus. If you want information on Ousmariku and corruption it'd be Knw Religion - no promises on that one though, its not the focus of the Temple of Athena.

I was right. XD It was an even crazier week than I thought it'd be, but that madness should be finished with now, and I think the interview went well!
If so, what are you interested in?
I wanted to learn more about the monsters. Is that something we can learn here? If so, I'd spend a little more time. Otherwise, if there is nothing else to gain, we can move forward.
I guess primarily, about minotaurs (even though OOC I know they are fairly basic monsters) and what monster could it be that can lure with a voice (harpy, siren, etc.)
These monsters probably don't have resistances but mostly, as a fighter, when researching, I'd want to know if I'll be encountering anything with specific DR or energy resistances so I can possibly purchase a weapon to properly overcome it.
Got the promotion! Now to survive getting my replacement chosen and trained and relocating halfway across the country in a month. XD
