Sorry yes forgot the gravedigger!

Landolf Gersun von Ubersreik | Male Reiklander Noble| Wounds 13/13 | Fortune 6/8 | Fate 5/5 | Resolve/Resilience 2/2 | Armor: Head 1 / Body 3 / Arms 3 / Legs 1 | Corruption: 4

Perception 35: 1d100 ⇒ 67

Exo-Guardians

Agender CG Human Gladiator Vanguard 1 | SP 5/10 HP 3/11 | RP 4/4 | EAC 16; KAC 17 | Fort +5; Ref +5; Will +0 | Init: +3 | Perc: +4, SM: +0 | Speed 30ft | Entropy Points *3/3 | Active conditions: None.

Alex carefully judges the creature's gait and uses the tremendous momentum forced upon it by its size, to sink her rapier deep into its gut!

Rapier (60): 1d100 ⇒ 44 Possibly + a bonus for outnumbering? A Crit either way!
Hit Location: 1d100 ⇒ 52
Crit: 1d100 ⇒ 16
Base damage of 7 for Alex, and unless its weapon is Fast it takes a -10 penalty to parry Alex's strike. So with it having a -3 SL and Alex having a +4 SL (assuming a +20 outnumbering bonus) that'll be a crit and 14 damage. So... 9 after toughness, then an extra 1 from the Gut Blow, which stuns it, and knocks it prone unless it passes an Easy Toughness test (Likely)

Perception (40): 1d100 ⇒ 63

Thilo Wald | Human Graverobber | Wounds 9/9 | Fate 2 | Resilience 4

Perception 35: 1d100 ⇒ 10 I see something?

Thilo has been hanging back from fray, reluctant to engage in a fight clearly outside his experience. Seeing his new friends of the verge of victory he joins in swinging with abandon.

Weapon Skill 25 +20 (2v1) 45: 1d100 ⇒ 70 Well at least I can see things, even if I can't hit things.

Thilo, I believe you were the one who make the original perception check when you entered the camp as well recognize one of the 3 men running from the beast as your allies charge it and also notice they drop something as they are running away.

parry alex: 1d100 ⇒ 5 vs 25
parry thilo: 1d100 ⇒ 64 vs 25

Alex rushes in with her comrades and deals a devastating blow to the creature and it howls in pain with an ear piercing shriek!

Thilo must of lost his footing or something running toward the beast and swing goes wide.

The 3 men see you attacking and wounding the beast badly gather their wits and guts and charge in as well to assist doing a little damage to the fould creature.

You all have advantage except for thilo so bonus +10 on next round combat

The creature whips it's tail around trying to strike as many of you as possible feeling the stink of all your weapons!

attack: 1d100 ⇒ 5 vs 25

Everyone make parry/dodge checks

npc parry: 1d100 ⇒ 26 vs 35

The 3 men who were running away get whacked by the tail falling to the ground but don't look to be completely out of it yet...

Landolf Gersun von Ubersreik | Male Reiklander Noble| Wounds 13/13 | Fortune 6/8 | Fate 5/5 | Resolve/Resilience 2/2 | Armor: Head 1 / Body 3 / Arms 3 / Legs 1 | Corruption: 4

Did Thilo actually miss? I'm seeing him with -3 SL (7-4) and the critter with -4 SL (6-2). I could be misunderstanding how this works though.

Dodge 39 +10 advantage: 1d100 ⇒ 71 vs 49
Fortune Reroll Dodge 39 +10 advantage: 1d100 ⇒ 66 vs 49

Ouch. That's going to be a Fumble I think? As long as that doesn't make a critical against Landolf, I'll have to take it.

Assuming that Landolf is still active after that hit: (Toughness 3, 11 Wounds)

Melee (Basic) 33 +40 (3v1): 1d100 ⇒ 25 vs 73 - I'm guessing that Landolf lost his advantage because he failed Dodge vs the critter attack.

Exo-Guardians

Agender CG Human Gladiator Vanguard 1 | SP 5/10 HP 3/11 | RP 4/4 | EAC 16; KAC 17 | Fort +5; Ref +5; Will +0 | Init: +3 | Perc: +4, SM: +0 | Speed 30ft | Entropy Points *3/3 | Active conditions: None.

Parry (60+Advantage): 1d100 ⇒ 56 Okay, so that's 2 SL to 2 SL. I think tie goes to the higher skill? Don't have my book with me at the moment

Alex's rigorously trained reflexes slam the broadest part of her blade against the creature's tail, forcing it down to where she can try to leap up and over its sweep.

Landolf is struck hard by the tail taking 11 damage as he falls to the ground groaning! Believe your at 0 right now so no attack this round.

Alex is able to bat the tail away just in time before it crushes her like a bug!

Initiative 36 Wounds 15 Toughness 4 Acute Senses: Hearing Human Male Reiklander

Parry (Melee 49) + is there advantage or something?: 1d100 ⇒ 30

Hershel Werner

Parry
44: 1d100 ⇒ 68 Using a fate.
44: 1d100 ⇒ 30

Hershel attempts to parry and find some kind of riposte within this chaotic battle.

Attack

Landolf Gersun von Ubersreik | Male Reiklander Noble| Wounds 13/13 | Fortune 6/8 | Fate 5/5 | Resolve/Resilience 2/2 | Armor: Head 1 / Body 3 / Arms 3 / Legs 1 | Corruption: 4

Given how I rolled, that could have been worse...

Pummeled almost to senselessness, Landolf struggles to drag himself away from the scrum before he loses consciousness.

Thilo Wald | Human Graverobber | Wounds 9/9 | Fate 2 | Resilience 4

Dodge 27agi+5skill+10adv 42: 1d100 ⇒ 87 I don't wanna die! Using a fate.

Dodge 27agi+5skill+10adv 42: 1d100 ⇒ 38 Cat like reflexes!

Attack WS 25+20adv 45: 1d100 ⇒ 44 Gonna feel the sword bite into nasty bitz!

Thilo is both excited and repulsed by the successful use of his blade. Much more excited about dodging that tail slap with a quick leap.

Alberich, Hershel and Thilo are also able to avoid any serious impact from the creatures whip and strike back!

parry Alberich: 1d100 ⇒ 47 vs 25
parry Hershel: 1d100 ⇒ 33 vs 25
parry Thilo: 1d100 ⇒ 52 vs 25

All 3 of you strike true! The creature wails, turns and flops over to it's side and lets out a loud sigh and as it twitches a few more times and then finally stops moving!

2 of the 3 guys gets up from the attack rubbing their aches.

"That was close! Thank you for the assist friends!

Landolf Gersun von Ubersreik | Male Reiklander Noble| Wounds 13/13 | Fortune 6/8 | Fate 5/5 | Resolve/Resilience 2/2 | Armor: Head 1 / Body 3 / Arms 3 / Legs 1 | Corruption: 4

Can we try a Heal check on Landolf? I think Alex is able to roll, and she isn't likely to hurt Landolf (although it isn't crazy to think it might happen...it probably depends on whether Alex is willing to spend a Fortune if she gets a bad result)

Exo-Guardians

Right you are!

Alex quickly drops to a knee to examine Landolf's injuries.

I think that's +2 SL and +3 (Alex's Int bonus) for 5 Wounds recovered?

"Thank you Alex. That was quite the wallop I took there."

We should probably talk to these guys we rescued and see if they know anything. Landolf is somewhat out of it at the moment though.

Initiative 36 Wounds 15 Toughness 4 Acute Senses: Hearing Human Male Reiklander

Arrrgh! Arrrrrrgh!, even after the monster goes down, Alberich screams as he hacks again and again, partly in terror, partly in his post survival adrenaline rush and partly because he sees how hes going to die - Torn apart by creatures of Chaos!

Doomed! Method of death locked in.

He stands panting, looking at the corpse of abomination in horror, his face a twisted rictus of fear and loathing.

Recovering somewhat from his wounds, Landolf addresses the men they saved. "That was quite a scrape we got into there. Glad to see that you made it. You could probably ask the same of us, but what brings you out so deep into the forest?"

Reminder for Thilo: he saw the men drop something in the marsh.

"We came out of Grausee just this morning, looking to trap some eels in the ‘schlamm. I was told tales of a great beast within the swamp from when I was on my Nanna’s knee, but never once thought there’d be so much as a shred of truth to them. Shallya’s blessings be upon you for your help!"

Make perception checks please

Hershel Werner

45: 1d100 ⇒ 4

Hershel listens to the spokesman for the group as he moves to check on the man who didn't get up.

Perception (40): 1d100 ⇒ 49 Sigh, I don't get to be in that club... :-p

"Well I just hope this is 'The Beast' and not just one of a whole host of these things..."

Hershel and Landolf you realize after the battle is over and you get a really good look at the beast that the foot tracks you were following and the beasts do not match up. The tracks you were following were three toes this creature has four.

You also notice that these men have their feed swaddled in sodden fur wrappings which seems very encumbering out here.

The other man appears to be dead from the blow...

Landolf Gersun von Ubersreik | Male Reiklander Noble| Wounds 13/13 | Fortune 6/8 | Fate 5/5 | Resolve/Resilience 2/2 | Armor: Head 1 / Body 3 / Arms 3 / Legs 1 | Corruption: 4

I went looking in the skill list for a basic Bluff or Deception, and I don't see anything that looks like it. Charm is probably the closest. That's a very strange omission...

Landolf moves over to the dead man. "It won't do any of us any good to stand around in this marsh. Let's take your friend and find someplace to put him to rest proper."

Assuming that the dead man also has the fur wrappings, Landolf will remove those first.

Initiative 36 Wounds 15 Toughness 4 Acute Senses: Hearing Human Male Reiklander

Pale and shaking, Alberich follows, knowing that in this encounter he has foreseen his own gruesome doom.

I was thinking maybe cool but that doesn't fit either which is weird.

The two men look to Landolf.

"We best just get out of here who knows if there is another one of those things lurking about."

If any of you wish to take pieces of the creature they may be worth some coins or useful for other things.

Landolf Gersun von Ubersreik | Male Reiklander Noble| Wounds 13/13 | Fortune 6/8 | Fate 5/5 | Resolve/Resilience 2/2 | Armor: Head 1 / Body 3 / Arms 3 / Legs 1 | Corruption: 4

I did a bit of poking around and found some evidence for how to lie. First, the Cat-tongued talent suggests that you can use Charm to lie, opposed by Intuition. The Intuition skill suggests that Cool or Entertain (Acting) is how you resist it when trying to hide something, which is different and confusing. It's almost like they expect Intuition to be used offensively, which is backward from how most games I've seen have it, but it makes enough sense.

"This won't take but a second."

Unless the men attack Landolf or something, he's going after those foot wrappings. Hopefully even if they determine that Landolf is being deceitful, they'll think that he's after money in the guy's pockets. The Old World is a suspicious place!

As you take the boots off you realize these things probably do not leave much impression in the ground but are still very cumbersome in these parts and makes no sense why they would be wearing them.

The lead guy just shakes his head but doesn't do anything to stop you.

Thilo Wald | Human Graverobber | Wounds 9/9 | Fate 2 | Resilience 4

Thilo moves to distract the men by stepping them over to the beast and away from Landolf.

"What is this thing? Where did you find it? Have you ever seen something like this before? Is this the great Beast? Yall reckon its worth anything?"

Hershel Werner

"Right, your friend is deader than a door nail. Your footwear looks suspicious. I'm thinking there is something going on here, possibly having to do with the death of the man-boy who employed us until recently. Truth is, I don't care at this point. I'm going to bring back the things head and throw it to our lady employer and get my pay. You all can do with these two what you wish."

Hershel, while having a suspicion of what has happened, honestly does not care if these men had a hand in the death of the man who hired them. He is here for the pay and nothing more at this point. The others may have more noble ideals and he couldn't just leave without giving them his suspicions though. Just wouldn't be sporting.

Landolf Gersun von Ubersreik | Male Reiklander Noble| Wounds 13/13 | Fortune 6/8 | Fate 5/5 | Resolve/Resilience 2/2 | Armor: Head 1 / Body 3 / Arms 3 / Legs 1 | Corruption: 4

The dead guy has normal feet under the boots/wrappings though, right?

After his examination, Landolf turns to address the other men. "Sorry for being suspicious of you. Hershel alluded to it, but the reason we're out here is to look for a murderer. If you know him from the camp nearby, a man named Reuter was killed on the borders of the camp recently, and we were sent to track down the beast that was responsible for the killing. The tracks we followed had three toes and this thing here has four. We had to check," Landolf shrugs.

"As for collecting a reward, Hershel, I don't know if they'll believe that this huge creature was responsible for Reuter's death. You might pass it off on Stiegler, but Thulgrim was born suspicious of the stone over his head I bet. It's just too big. We can take the head if you like, but something else is out here..."

Landolf wasn't kidding about giving the dead guy a burial, and he'd want to scavenge the creature for useable parts too. Is there a check for that?

Initiative 36 Wounds 15 Toughness 4 Acute Senses: Hearing Human Male Reiklander

The young man steadies himself and just mutters, Let's just head back...

Thilo Wald | Human Graverobber | Wounds 9/9 | Fate 2 | Resilience 4

Thilo slowly sinks into the mud waiting for something to happen.
